Shih Tzu puppies and dogs in Keizer, Oregon

Mustard is a sweet older gentleman who believes life is best enjoyed at a slower pace. This calm little guy is pretty much a professional couch potato—give him a comfy spot to curl up and he’s perfectly content! Mustard is visually impaired and needs daily eye drops for dry eye, but he gets around and enjoys life just fine. He does best with a calm routine and gentle handling, as fast movements can make him nervous. He is good with other dogs, especially when they respect his slower pace and personal space. Mustard is pee-pad trained and will also potty outside when taken out on a leash. He hasn’t quite learned how to let you know when he needs to go outside yet, so his new family will need to keep him on a consistent routine. Mustard isn’t looking for a busy, action-packed life. He’s looking for a soft couch, a peaceful home, and someone who will love and spoil him through his golden years. Local adoption fee is $300(in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $550 (includes transport to your area)

Oreo is 4 years old and weighs about 14lbs. He is so playful and loves his human immensely. He likes to hug with his arms! It is so cute. He crates well and rides well in the car. He is housetrained with a doggy door. Oreo is just a dear little guy who wants a quiet home, not too busy. No kiddos for Oreo. He gets scared too easily and little children would make him scared. He would love to be your little lap dog. Oreo has resource guarding issues so only an experienced pet owner or a home as an only pet would be appropriate. Oreo needs a home with a fully fenced yard and someone active enough to play with him and keep him exercised. Please email stmartinsanimalrescue@hotmail.com for an application.

Princess & Precious are an adorable pair of mother/daughter tiny Shih Tzu mixes. Precious the Mom is 10 and scruffy, and Princess the daughter is 9 and smooth-coated. They both have brown heart-shaped patches of fur on their sides. Both are quite friendly, snuggly and cuddly, and make excellent alarm clocks/burglar alarms. Both love to eat anything you give them. Both are friendly to other dogs, and people of all ages. No idea about their opinion of cats. They both sleep on my bed, either under the covers or wrapped up in a blanket on top. Both are potty trained. They came from an older person home that was moving to an assisted living facility and not able to take the dogs. Vet care was sadly lacking at their former home, and both dogs had to have several teeth removed. Princess (the smooth-coated daughter) has a dry left eye and will need drops for that for life. These are delightful cuties who want nothing more than to love and be loved forevermore. And of course well-fed. They are fully vetted, microchipped, spayed and dental done. Their adoption fee is $420 total for both dogs. To meet this little girls please go to our website - OFOSA.ORG and fill out the Dog Adoption Application and the foster mom will get back to you to meet them.

Meet Stevie Ray, the Well-Traveled Bluesman Looking for His Last Stop! There's a whole lot of heart packed into this little guy. Stevie is a 5-year-old shih tzu with the spirit of a pup and the devotion of an old soul: spunky, sweet, and utterly himself. He's also a bluesman who has seen some things. This little legend just wrapped up a cross-country tour, rolling out of a New Mexico shelter on a long bus ride that would make any road-weary musician grumpy. Give him a yard and watch the magic happen. Stevie turns it into his own little kingdom, nose to the ground, tail wagging, patrolling every inch like he's got very important business to attend to. Start a game of fetch and you'll fall in love with how much joy he can pack into his bouncy sprints. That said, he'd do just as well in an apartment, as long as he gets his outdoor time, whether that's a car ride, a backyard to patrol, or daily walks and trips to the park for sniffing and running. Stevie is good with other dogs, though according to his foster mom, he likes to call the shots. Every band needs a frontman, and he's happy to volunteer. His experience with children and cats is unknown, so we strongly recommend intentional, proper introductions and precautions if you have either at home. True to his shih tzu roots, Stevie carries himself with a confident, opinionated flair all a part of of his charm. Stevie appreciates a little time to get to know new people and does best when they let him come to them. He needs an experienced, patient adopter who will go slow, let him set the tempo, and respect his boundaries, especially around handling, new people, and high-stress situations. But earn his trust, and you'll find the softest heart this side of the Mississippi. With his foster mom, Stevie is pure velvet. He lets her dress him in his finest stage attire, picks up easily in her arms, follows her from room to room, and leans into every pet like it's the best thing that's ever happened to him. He wants to be wherever you are, and once he's yours, he's all yours. He does best with a family who's home often, so he never has to be far from the person he loves. After all those miles, this traveling troubadour is ready to hang up the tour bus keys. A calm home with a warm lap is his dream venue. Meet Cookie Monster 💙🍪 Cookie Monster was found rocking a very unique blue makeover, and while his colorful coat may fade with time, his spunky personality is definitely here to stay! https://youtu.be/bbgb8qDGFnA This young pup is a total social butterfly who believes every person he meets has the potential to become his new best friend. He happily makes his rounds for pets and isn’t afraid to hop right into your lap when he’s ready for some cuddles. When he’s not soaking up attention, Cookie Monster loves to play! He enjoys running, playing chase, and hanging out with canine friends of all sizes. He has wonderful social skills, shares toys nicely, and even patiently waits his turn for treats. Cookie Monster has also shown how sweet he can be with feline friends. During his cat introduction, he calmly said hello, explored the room, and later came back to give the kitty a little face lick! He’s already showing off some great puppy skills, including walking nicely on leash, responding well to guidance, and happily going into his kennel. With his outgoing nature, he could make an awesome adventure buddy for walks, dog-friendly patios, brewery trips, and plenty of outings with his future family. The blue may fade, but Cookie Monster’s charm is permanent. 💙 This goofy, affectionate little guy is ready to bring a whole lot of personality and love to his forever home. https://adopt.animalsfirst.com/animal/62cc8e128b02916730334440/6aa6ffd8c35306f2340b6824 Questions?
