This precious soul is called Candy Girl she is a darling little white and dark grey 4 year old Shih Tzu female that weighs a tiny 10 pounds. She is a little thing that was cast aside when her former mom became “involved” in a more important relationship that left no time for Candy Girl. She was given away to a Critter Cavalry Rescue lady who has gotten her fully vetted (she was NOT spayed) and all her shots done and heartworm tested,microchip and fecal test done. She has gotten the full spa treatment to make her look pretty for a new person or family to adopt her. She is nothing but pure sweet love and snuggles and is wonderful with dogs and cats alike. She is an innocent little girl that thought her momma loved her to the moon and back. Apparently she did not. Some human stepped out of the shadows and cast a dark cloud over Candy Girl’s life. We have promised her no more clouds but only sunshine and love to come just in time for the Holiday Season. She is housebroken, crate trained and walks like a Princess on the leash. She would sleep in bed with you if you allow it or she could find a soft little bed to snuggle down in every night. Candy Girl didn’t deserve to become second fiddle but we are going to fix that. He loves to run and play in the yard. He was a stray and was at the Norfolk shelter. He had severe matting of the hair around his eyes, and he could barely see. The shelter shaved his hair around his eyes and we took him to the eye specialist. He is currently on eyedrops and doing very well. I was adopted but returned because I could not get along with the cat! :( Things to consider when applying to adopt Farley: senior shih tzu/mini poodle mix 18-20 pounds VISUALLY IMPAIRED needs a fenced yard NO children - their sudden, unpredictable movements scare him does NOT like to be groomed (may require a shave down under sedation quarterly) he is tolerant of calm, social dog DOES NOT like cats Farley has been with our rescue for a few months now. He is a 20 pound, 10 year old, visually impaired, senior Shih Tzu/Mini-Poodle mix. He gets along well with the resident dogs in the home. He loves attention. Farley's ideal home would be an all adult, quiet home where he can roam a fenced yard to sniff and explore, eat his two meals daily and sleep as he pleases, where he pleases. He LOVES a soft fluffy, calming bed to lounge upon. He is basically looking to retire with his own butler/chambermaid! LOL Farley deserves better than he was given. Will you be his HERO?? **He is not a fan of grooming or nail clipping. **Absolutely NO children. While he is not aggressive towards them, he is visually impaired and does not understand a child's sudden movements.
