Story
Found on the side of a Texan highway at 6 months old, Nala had a tough start to life, but after a short stretch in a foster home, she joined my family where she has been loved and cared for like nobody’s business. She’s now 5 years old & has had regular vet care since her rescue, including annual dentals, & takes a daily SSRI that will likely need to be continued the rest of her life. She has pet insurance that I think we can transfer to a new owner if you’re interested. She’s the SWEETEST girl & wants nothing more than to snuggle her human all day every day, but given her start in life, she can be fearful/defensive. In particular she struggles with men & children. She doesn’t like when young dogs get in her face, & she should not live with cats. Any rehoming fee is only being collected to ensure her safety, and will be donated to the shelter I adopted her from. Experience with chihuahuas and/or rescues preferred.

Everett, WA
Size
(when grown) Small 25 lbs (11 kg) or less
Details
Not good with kids, Not good with dogs, Good with cats, Needs experienced adopter, Spayed or Neutered, Shots are up-to-date,
Story
Anya was adopted from a rescue agency in Southern California nine years ago for my wife, who was battling cancer at the time. My wife has now passed and I have had to relocate to the Seattle area to be near family. The ADU in which I'm now living does not have a fenced yard, and Anya has always been used to going in and out as she pleases. Anya is now a senior dog and has lost her hearing, but is in otherwise good health. If allowed to go outside or if walked regularly she will not pee or poo in the house, but she does have accidents if left alone for too long.

Story
We got chikis after a family member abandoned her with us. At first we were just fostering her but we have had her now for a few years. We can no longer care for her as she deserves. She is an amazing baby girl, she is very shy and quiet, but very sweet and playful, loves children. She rarely barks and is house trained
