Story
Jax is a super loving indoor/outdoor approximately 6 year old cat. He is very independent and likes to have his freedom. He We took him in to help a friend while she got back on her feet but eventually became permanent. Due to some major living changes, (a move and a new baby) we started having behavioral issues with Spraying. We had hoped it was a phase, but unfortunately it has not subsided no matter what we have tried, and in fact has gotten worse the older our toddler has gotten. He is very talkative, especially when hungry or in need of attention. He is friendly, energetic, watchful, and will spend most of his days sleeping in a cozy padded nook, or in the sun on the patio. At night he prefers to lay next to his human for a couple hours, and his loves to have under his chin scratched. He seems to get along with everyone, however we believe he would be better suited in a home with older children, no other cats, and a family that can give him LOTS of love and attention.

Story
Please contact Kristin (cats@arrcolorado.org) for more information about this pet.  Chalupa is a stunning Siamese Snowshoe kitten, a toupee model, and a lap lover. He starts out shy, but if you give him a chance, he will purr in your arms for hours. He is a friend to all cats, and would do fine with older kids. As a youngster, he loves to play, and chirps for attention. His purr is as loud as a motor. When he feels safe, he is extremely gentle, funny, adorable, and an excellent companion! And makes a great hair piece photography model. Anyone would be lucky to bask in the glow of his sweet, loyal, kitten energy. Born in January 2023. Children 9 and over. Chalupa's adoption fee is $200.   See more on IG @meowkatmeow foster: EV Animal Rescue of the Rockies believes that every pet should find a wonderful, caring home. To ensure each pet finds the best possible home, we ask that you fill out an adoption application form so we can learn more about you and your household. We review each application we receive and will contact you as quickly as possible. A home visit will be scheduled before any pet is adopted to a new home. Once a home visit has taken place and the adoption application has been approved, we will ask you to read and sign our adoption agreement form. Our adoption fees help cover the cost of spay/neuter, veterinary exams, vaccinations, microchipping, and foster care. Highly requested breeds help cover the vet costs incurred by some of our other cats, enabling us to save more lives! $300 for purebred/highly requested kittens, 6 months or younger, such as Siamese mixes, Maine Coon mixes.  These 'guardian kittens' help support our rescue work by covering vet costs for other kittens. $200 for purebred/highly requested cats older than 6 months such as Siamese mixes, Maine Coone mixes.  These 'guardian cats' help support our rescue work by covering vet costs for other kittens. $200 for kittens (6 months & under)    $125 for cats (older than 6 months)    $75 for senior cats (8 years or older) If you are interested in adopting, please fill out an adoption application  here . We want our pets to go to a lifelong new home, so thank you for your patience during the adoption process! Please email cats@arrcolorado.org for more information, as we can not accept calls at this time. PLEASE NOTE:  The breed listed is the information we've received from the shelter.  Shelters usually guess at the breed, so there is no guarantee, as we don't DNA test our foster pets.  Here is some interesting info on breed identification:  https://arrcolorado.org/category/puppy-dog-tips/ Our adoption process is: 1. Fill out our Adoption Application online.  We'll contact you within 48 hours to answer any questions you may have about the pet. 2. If the pet looks like a great match, we'll schedule a meet and greet and ask you to fill out our online Adoption Agreement if you'd like to proceed with adopting.  Once you've completed the Adoption Agreement and pay the pet's Adoption Fee, you can arrange to pick up your new furry family member! Story
Yoohoo was adopted from dumb friends league as a kitten 13 years ago. Recently she was diagnosed with diabetes, this has been manageable thus far with a change to diabetic cat food. Unfortunately with her age one of our younger cats has begun bullying her, this is one reason we are looking to rehome. We also are making a very big move out of state and will be renting and are struggling to find a location that will accept our number of pets. We are hopeful that someone else will be able to provide her a more peaceful home where she will be cared for and loved for the remainder of her years.

Story
Sammy boy here. I'm so excited to share my story with you all.I am just over 15 years old and have lived my best life so far. I have always been in the same household as my sister Sadie, which is why I have been exposed to being around at least another cat my entire life. I was not introduced to other cats or dogs outside of the cat I was already living with but have gotten some exposure in the shelter being around other cats and have done fine. One thing that really makes me happy throughout the day is knowing that I get some catio time with sunshine and a cool breeze. I do enjoy bird watching when lounging out on the catio. I came to MaxFund in June of this year and although I am enjoying my stay, I would really like to be out of here in my new home environment. I was relinquished to this shelter because my parents of 15 years decided they were wanting a change in lifestyle. Moved to North Carolina and did not want to stress me out with the drive there and figured I would benefit best in this environment for a while. It has taken some time to adjust to my surroundings but so far so good! I am ready to find my new pet parent(s).

Story
Hi there! My name is Arisa! I'm 16 years old, but young at heart! In fact, my previous adopter said I still act like a kitten in terms of my desire to play! I am also sweet as can be and extremely affectionate, so if you're looking for a loving senior gal, look no further!I was adopted recently and unfortunately had to be returned because I was being a bit of a bother to the other senior cat in the home. In fact, going forward, I would definitely be better suited for cohabitation with a cat who has a similar social disposition. I do have hyperthyroid and long term I will need dental check ups, but don't fret! The hyperthyroidism can be managed with medicine, which I'm a really good girl at taking! Topical can be a little easier on me than oral administration, though--surely you wouldn't want a stranger putting their fingers in your mouth! I do well with other cats, but not so great with kiddos! It's unknown how I do with dogs, but that's something I'm always willing to test for you! Come stop by and see me, and I'm sure we'll fall in love!

Story
This pretty lady with dazzling eyes is Karina. And although you’d never guess it, she’s 15 years old. Love bites are her specialty and she would do best with someone who will read her cues (she enjoys affection, but can become overstimulated at times). We wouldn’t recommend a home with dogs or children. Other mellow cats might be okay after a proper intro. Want to find out about this sweet Siamese mix? Call or stop in today! Please note: we do not allow out of state adoptions. All adopters must be residents of Colorado and have verifiable, physical Colorado address.May 1, 2024, 7:49 pm
