Meet Cleocatra. She is an 8 years young at heart kitty who needs to be queen of her own domain, no other furry animals in the house. She would probably do best in a home with adults only or older kids who can give her the respect she deserves. She's a talker, true to her Siamese roots! A true conversationalist. Snowflake is an owner surrender and was recently returned as not getting along with their cat. She is a quiet girl who is not interacting with the other cats at the cafe, so this may have been a personality issue. We are not sure how she would do around dogs. French Toast is a beautiful Siamese mix cat with the most unique markings. She's just a kitten and loves to play. She bounces around and enjoys being with other cats. We rescued her from an animal shelter, where she had been for a while. She was rescued off the streets, her and 7 others were dumped behind a discount store in Grove, Oklahoma. She's pretty shy. I've been working with her, but she needs someone with more time who can sit with her and get her to warm up. I think with the right person who has the time, she'll be a very sweet, loving cat.Fostering and transporting to places where there is a need for adoptable animals, saves lives, its that simple. Nomad can take a beat to warm up, but once she does, she is a sweet lovey cat.  The loves gentle hugs and lots of petting. She will sit in your lap but as of right now just prefers to be close enough to pet.  She is just learning to play and seems to prefer string toys.  She has been perfect with her litterbox and isn't terribly picky about her food.  She is  currently settling in at the EAPL Cat Adoption Center at Chow Down in Evergreen.  Complete a cat application at www.eapl.com - once approved, you can visit and choose the kitten best suited to you and your home. These 6 indoor cats (Charlie, Wookie, Sweetie Pie, Buttons, Blue and Baby Cake) are now being kept in a shed in Westcliffe since their owner died and temps are dropping.  All are altered, and we have updated their vaccines along with testing for FIV/FeLV.   The owner of these cats has died, and the house is being sold so they can’t remain there.  A friend was told there were 2 or 3 outside cats at the home and she went to get them and keep them as barn cats.  When she got there, she found these 6 cats that had never been outside.  She had no place to put them in her home, so they are in her shed in Westcliffe .  It appears the owner took good care of the cats.  All wear collars with names.   These 6 will slowly transition to the Cat Adoption Center, found at Chow Down in Evergreen, as space becomes available. Complete a cat application at www.eapl.com - once approved, you can visit and choose the cat best suited to you and your home.   January 7, 2026, 1:58 pm

We adopted Lucy at Dumb Friends League when she was a year old, she is 13 now, and I have recently taken over caring for her for my mom. We love her very much but after a year we have realized we can't give her the care she needs. We have one other cat that we thought she would get along with, but it has been a year of us trying to introduce them and it is not working. She is very skittish and will bat and growl or even attack other cats, but never humans. I am unsure of how she would be around dogs. She prefers to have a room that she can go to to sleep or find a cozy spot to burrow in. We are looking for someone that has NO OTHER PETS, and probably no small children. She is very playful and loves catnip and small toys that she can bat around. She also loves to cuddle and will lay on you for hours! She deserves to have an owner that will give her all the love and attention she needs, in a cozy, calm, single pet environment. Please reach out if you have any questions!
