Story
Meet Jewel    Jewel is a stunning 2-year-old Siamese mix with soulful blue eyes and a voice she loves to use. True to her Siamese roots, she is very vocal and highly communicative—Jewel will happily “talk” to you about her day and let you know exactly how she’s feeling.   She is incredibly affectionate and loving. While she tolerates being picked up, Jewel much prefers close cuddles where she can relax and feel secure. Her favorite toys are simple but fun: ponytails and jingly balls are guaranteed to keep her entertained.   Jewel does have some special needs that require an experienced, committed adopter. She struggles with separation anxiety and nighttime vocalization, so she needs a calm, understanding home where someone is around often. She also has a severe poultry allergy and must remain on a hypoallergenic, vet-approved diet.   Jewel is a gentle, well-mannered girl who truly just wants love and companionship.   Her ideal home would be with an older owner who is home frequently and/or a household with another friendly cat to help keep her company. With the right family, Jewel will be an incredibly devoted, affectionate companion.   If you’re looking for a loving, talkative cat who bonds deeply with her people, Jewel may be your perfect match.  ##2188825##

Story
😺 Meet Chewy – Your Chatty, Charming Companion! 💬💙 Calling all Siamese lovers—have we got the guy for you! Chewy (just saying his name makes us smile!) is a 3.5-year-old Siamese mix with a stunning lynx point coat, dazzling blue eyes, and a purr-sonality as bold as his meow. This handsome boy is full of affection, curiosity, and conversation—he’s never short on things to say and is always ready to share his thoughts with you! Chewy is outgoing and loves human attention. He’s a total social butterfly who wants to be wherever you are—lounging nearby, chatting away, or vying for your love. Tyra Banks would definitely approve of his camera-ready smize skills, too! 🧠 But here’s the deal: Chewy needs an experienced cat-savvy home. While he’s very affectionate, he can get overstimulated and may nip when he’s had enough. Reading his body language and respecting his boundaries is key to keeping your relationship happy and balanced. With the right human, Chewy is a devoted companion who loves deeply—he just needs someone who understands that even lovebugs need space sometimes! 🎾 Chewy’s Ideal Home: An experienced cat person who can recognize and respect his limits A calm environment without dogs or young children Likely best as a solo cat, though he can coexist with mellow felines who respect his personal bubble Plenty of toys and enrichment—he’s an active, intelligent boy who loves to play! If you're looking for a charming, chatty, and affectionate companion—and you're the kind of person who gets that even the sweetest cats have complex feelings—Chewy just might be your purr-fect match. Please be sure to read a cat's full bio before applying! We do our best to keep bios updated as we learn more about each cat or as circumstances change. Story
Meet Misoo! Misoo is a timid young adult girl that is at her happiest when she is with her best friend, Tara. We would like Misoo and Tara to go to a home together since they are their best selves when they can be with each other. Once either of them warm up, since they can be quite shy at first, they are very sweet, friendly, purring machines. They do warm up quickly to people who go at their pace! If you are interested in Misoo and Tara, please call us here at (401)846-8276. You are welcome to stop by our Animal Care and Adoption Center here in Middletown, RI to meet with them at any time. Feel free to visit our website, www.potterleague.org, for more information on adopting from us.

Story
Marshmallow is such a special girl! She has overcome incredible challenges in her short life and now she is ready to find her forever home!! Adoption Application: https://new.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/ROSE/Cat Marshmallow is a doll, a lovebug, an adorable menace, and your new best friend! She has suffered too much at the hands of humans, and yet she has never been anything but a loving and affectionate velcro kitty. She still loves people and wants to be your cuddle bug best friend!! Marshy was adopted from the Harris County shelter in November 2024. In March 2025, she was dumped in front of the shelter clinic and then run over by her owners as they drove away. At just 10 months old she suffered a broken and dislocated jaw, cracked teeth, and head and throat swelling. The county shelter did not have the resources to treat her injuries, and reached out to local rescues for help. The ROSES community stepped up for Marshy, and got her the treatment she needed. Marshy had surgery on her jaw, and had a feeding tube installed. Her foster fed her manually for at least a week. AND NOW MARSHMALLOW IS THRIVING! After making a full recovery she is ready to be adopted into an only cat home where she can be the star of your show every day. Marshy is so special and deserves a special home. The primary lingering issue from her accident is partial blindness. Right after the accident, she was blind as a bat. She has improved dramatically since then, but her vision is very limited and it seems that she has no peripheral vision and poor depth perception. She is so brave and ready to figure out her environment despite her limited sight. Because she cannot see very well, Marshy needs some time to get used to new places and needs a stable, loving environment where she can thrive. She gets a little nervous jumping off of things when she can't touch the floor first, but she is so brave and will learn to navigate her environment quickly! --- Marshy would likely do best in a home where things are generally consistent, and she doesn't have to adapt to new environments very often. She would do well with older children who can understand and respect her needs and limitations while she continues to recover. For her safety, she absolutely cannot go outside unless it is in a fully enclosed catio or porch. Marshmallow is ~1.5 years old, spayed and microchipped, up to date on age-appropriate vaccines, and in great health! She does a great job of keeping her litterbox tidy. All she needs now is her forever home. The adoption application can be found here: https://new.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/ROSE/Cat --- Marshy is currently in Seattle, Washington with a loving foster, and due to her medical condition we are considering local adoption options only. ABOUT OUR ADOPTION FEES: When you adopt from ROSES Rescues, you're doing more than giving your new family member a home. Each adoption fee pays for a cat on the streets of Houston to get fixed, helping end the cycle of overpopulation in a rough environment. We thank you so much for your contribution to our efforts!
