Story
Jax is a 10-year-old Siamese cat. He is a homebody who enjoys a quiet, peaceful house. He doesn’t play very much and would much rather cuddle on the couch than play with toys. He prefers a slower-paced, quiet lifestyle. Jax can get anxious in loud environments, especially around younger children, so he does best in a calm home where he has a quiet place to escape and relax when he needs some alone time. He is a sweet boy who would love a peaceful home where he can spend his days relaxing and cuddling. ❤️

Story
Catpuccino is a neutered male Snowshoe Siamese mix, born on March 1, 2025. We don't know what happened to Catpuccino, but he didn't want much to do with people when we found him.  Over time he has opened up and is making great progress.  He is a SMART cat and is very good at nonverbal communication, like turning his back on you.  He needs someone who will love him but also respect him and not push him.  He will most definitely give you a look and withdraw if you push his boundaries.  He gets along well with fellow fosters Sylvie and Sammy. 'Experience with the breed AND rescue is crucial.'  Please explain in your application your experience with rescue cats and how you would work with Catpuccino/Sammy to re-socialize him.     Indoor cat only!!  The adoption fee is $100. This covers the cost of spay/neuter, PVR, Rabies, flea, tick, ear mite and worm treatment. To adopt, you need to first fill out an application. Go to: https://rutherfordcountyhumanesociety.org/cat-adoption-application/ We are located in Western North Carolina. Optional transport is weekly.  After your application is approved, we will contact you regarding cost and delivery if you so desire.  September 12, 2026, 3:42 pm

Story
Hi, my name is Blitzø, because my owner likes the show Helluva Boss too much. I’m a very shy Siamese young adult, I get scared very easily, and might hiss because of that, but I NEVER ever bite, so please be patient with me. I’d love to stay with my current family, but they have to relocate to another country soon, and the new housing situation sadly will not allow cats. It’s very difficult for me to build new bonds because I was traumatized as a kitten before meeting my current owners, but once I do, I will love you and seek out your attention constantly. I’m afraid I will be left alone and get neglected, so please, only reach out if you’re ready for us to build a lasting friendship. Looking forward to meeting you, your shy furry friend, Blitzø.

Story
*Meow* I`m in a foster home! Email my foster caregiver to meet me: catfstr@gmail.comJeez Louise is an absolutely beautiful and sensitive flower of a cat. She was wilting in the shelter environment, but with time and patience in a family home, she is turning into a snugglebug. Earn her trust and respect her boundaries, and her playful and loving personality emerges. She will greet you with a meows, purring and head bumps and loves to flop near her family and make biscuits. The lovely Jeez Louise appears to be a classic Siamese/Balinese from her googly blue eyes to her floofy tail. Also, known as one of the hypoallegenic breeds, we can confirm that our cat-loving but mildly allergic teenager has had barely any reaction, even when she sleeps in his bed. She would make a great apartment cat and tends to stay in her favorite two rooms even when allowed to roam a whole house. While you are away or busy, she will take her beauty naps in a sunny spot, watch the world from her cat tower, and play with her toys by herself until her people come home. She likely needs to be the only pet in a calm and predicable home. As she slowly feels safe and loved, this absolutely gorgouse kitty will blossom into a an ideal companion.

Story
❤️ Special Home Needed for a Very Special Girl ❤️ Sometimes the cats who need us the most aren't the ones who immediately climb into our laps. We have a beautiful 4-year-old brown Siamese girl who came to us after being picked up by ACS with her kittens. Her babies are friendly, happy little kitties, but Momma is a different story. This beautiful girl is spicy, frightened, and unsure of people. She cannot be held right now, and the world can still be a pretty scary place for her. But we don't believe that means she doesn't deserve a loving home. We believe she simply needs someone who is willing to give her time, patience, and the chance to learn that she is safe. 🐾 Since coming into rescue, she has been spayed and brought up to date on her vaccinations, so now we're hoping to find the special person who will take the next step with her. 🏡 We are looking for a patient, understanding adopter who doesn't expect an instant lap cat. Someone who will let her come out of her shell at her own pace. Someone who understands that sitting quietly in the same room, offering treats, playing with a wand toy, or simply giving her a safe place to observe the world can be a huge step forward. Maybe she will never be the type of cat who wants to be carried around. And that's okay. Maybe her way of saying "I love you" will be sitting beside you instead of on your lap. Maybe she'll eventually accept a gentle touch. Maybe she'll surprise us all. What she needs most is someone willing to give her the opportunity to find out. ❤️ We are asking our rescue community: 🐾 Is there someone out there who would be willing to give this beautiful girl a chance? We are willing to negotiate her adoption fee for the right person and the right application. This isn't about finding just anyone for her. It's about finding the person who understands that earning the trust of a frightened cat can be one of the most rewarding experiences there is. If you have experience with shy, fearful, or unsocialized cats—or simply have a quiet home and a very patient heart—we would love to hear from you. ❤️ She doesn't need someone to fix her. She needs someone willing to show her that she is safe, loved, and finally home. Adoption fee for right application is negotiable.
