Siamese kittens & cats in District Heights, Maryland

Cece was roaming the streets in my neighborhood but was very friendly (and beautiful). I found her pregnant and needing help - and she did not seem to be owned by anyone. I got her spayed and vaccinated and she is getting fattened up now (she was so skinny). She is currently being cared for by my mother who reports that she has taken well to indoor life and is a very sweet girl. Unfortunately I can not take her as I have a dog that will not do well with cats, and my mother is very low income and can not afford to take care of Cece long term, my mom also has health issues that cause her to need to leave for long times. We are doing our best to foster Cece for now, but hope to find her a loving home.

Meet Simon — a handsome flame point Siamese fellow with a big personality and an even bigger heart. Simon came to the care of Freckles Foundation & Animal Rescue when his owner could no longer afford treatment for FIP. Thanks to the care he received, Simon is now fully cured, thriving, and ready to find his forever home. About a year old, Simon is an extremely playful, energetic boy who absolutely loves other cats and also does well with dogs. With his luxurious soft coat and dreamy blue eyes, Simon is every bit as handsome as he sounds. He’s got a very serious face, but don’t let that fool you — Simon is all about fun. He’s a big guy who enjoys rough-and-tumble play, so he would do best in a home without young children. Simon’s ideal family will have another young, confident, playful cat who can keep up with his antics and energy level. While he may take a little time to settle in, once Simon gets comfortable he is incredibly affectionate. He enjoys being close to his people and loves curling up near his human to sleep at night. If you’re looking for a social, active, affectionate companion with lots of personality, Simon may be your perfect match. ***Please note Simon does require an over the counter daily renal supplement, easily purchased on Amazon for $30/90 day supply. This cat is fixed, fully vaccinated, negative for FelV/FIV, and has impeccable litter box manners. The adoption fee for this cat is $300. Application for adoption: https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/FRE/Cat If you are viewing on Petfinder and cannot see photos or would like to apply for this kitten, please visit our website www.frecklesfoundation.org ***Please note that the first step in the process is to complete our nonbinding application which does not commit you in any way, but allows us to help you to find a great match. Our application review process also includes a veterinary reference check. Vetting of current and past pets is very important to us, thus we will be speaking with the vet(s) listed on your application to ensure that your current and previous pet(s) are kept up to date on vaccines (including rabies), spayed or neutered, maintained on appropriate monthly preventatives (if applicable) and examined annually by your vet.***

Sammy became a member of the 4Paws family when he showed up at a colony of a 4Paws volunteer and showed he was friendly. He is currently being fostered in the rescuer's home and learning to love the indoor life with a cat tower to snooze on, and regular meals, and lots of petting which will activate his purr machine and instinct to "make biscuits". He very much enjoys being brushed. He can be quite chatty when he wants to tell his human how his day is going, or he wants attention. The rescuer states he tried to be friends with cats at the colony, but they weren't receptive to him, most likely because they didn't want to share their food supply. So we think he certainly has the potential to go to an adoptive home with another chill, friendly kitty to be his buddy. Proper introduction procedures still need to be followed to ensure harmony. Sammy is neutered, current on vaccines, negative for FiV/FeLV, and micro chipped. *** PLEASE NOTE*** 4Paws will only consider local adoptions (Northern VA / DC / MD metropolitan area) 4Paws does not adopt to students

Meet Fortune : Your Quiet, Blue-Eyed Companion 🐾 Fortune is a stunning, blue-eyed boy with a gentle soul and a quiet way of making himself part of your everyday life. This intelligent Siamese–Russian Blue thrives in a calm, loving home and forms deep, meaningful bonds with his people. Fortune came to Four Paws from a partner shelter in Southern Virginia after his owner sadly passed away. He had been living in a quiet home, and that background really shows, he feels most comfortable in a peaceful environment with a predictable routine. He’s more of a “be near you” cat than a “be on you” cat. Fortune loves curling up nearby, keeping you company while you go about your day. When he wants attention, he’ll let you know with a soft, sweet meow. He’s incredibly smart (he’ll even come running when you call him!) and has a quiet, loyal presence that makes him easy to love. Fortune can be timid and a bit jumpy at first, especially in new environments. But with patience and a calm approach, he truly settles in and lets his affectionate, gentle personality shine. He has done well bonding with teens and will build a strong connection with a family who understands that trust takes a little time. Because of his sensitive nature, Fortune should be the only cat, as he can be territorial and feels most secure when he doesn’t have to share his space. Fortune does have some anxiety and is currently on medication to help him feel his best. He also has asthma, which is well-managed with daily medication. He takes both easily and does very well with a consistent routine. Fortune’s Details 🐾 DOB: 06/01/2020 Neutered: Yes Vaccines: Up to date Tested: Negative for FeLV & FIV Microchipped: Yes If you’re looking for a calm, intelligent, and deeply loyal companion who will quietly be by your side, Fortune may be your perfect match. Give him a little time and he’ll give you his whole heart. 💙
