He was at a Vet Clinic for a check up and the owner could never be found. The Vet Clinic asked the Humane Society/Rescue to help him find a home that will understand his special needs Ghost is about 5 years old, came to us with a broken leg that has healed enough that surgery is NOT his best option at this point. He walks just fine may have some arthritis later. He is SPECIAL NEEDS for that reason and this too: Ghost has Feline Eosinophilic Granuloma Complex (EGC) which is a set of common, often allergy-driven skin diseases in cats, characterized by inflammatory, itchy lesions like ulcers or bumps, typically on the lips, mouth, or thighs. It is usually triggered by immune system reactions to fleas, food, or environmental allergens. Treatment, including steroids, antibiotics, and allergy management, usually results in a good prognosis. His EGC is well managed with periodic antibiotic and steroid shots so that is a must for any potential adopter. It is not a terribly expensive regimen but must be monitored an addressed as he needs. Ghost is sweet and loving, loves attention and gets a bit crossed eyed in his delight/pleasure when you caress him. He is playful and snugly. He's accustomed to cats and dogs but a quieter home where he can be center of attention is likely best. Ghost's adoption fee is $150 to help cover the medical costs of getting ready for adoption. No longer accepting applications F and F are both very sweet kitties, despite having a rough start to life. They are BFs and enjoy playtime together. Fargo ( the longer hair fluffy one ) is the braver of the two and quicker to trust people. Finley relies on his confidence to make her more social and because of this dependence, staying together will help them be the best companions they can be!

Cookie is a sweet, affectionate, Siamese. She would love to snuggle up with her new Siamese loving mama. She is gentle and would love to have a quiet home. She would love to be the queen bee. Azul is a stud muffin of a big boy cat. We don’t know what is bigger – his beautiful blue eyes or his enormous round head. We estimate him to weigh around 15 lbs and believe he is around 5-6 years old. Azul was found roaming a neighborhood along the Texas Mexico border, where a good Samaritan saw him and knew she had to help him. He was super scrawny, covered in fleas, tons of missing hair and scabs all over his body. After about 6 weeks, Azul is fully healed, all of his hair has grown back, and he is ready for his forever home. Despite his age, he is very playful and active. We do not recommend very young children with him as he can play a little bit rough at times. Azul is in a foster home where he is around other cats and dogs. Even though he is big, he gets along wonderfully with other cats! He has met dogs in the current foster home and has no issues with them. He can live happily with other dogs and cats in the home! Azul would love to be a lap cat and be loved on everyday and all day. He does NOT mark. Azul will be neutered, current on age-appropriate vaccinations, dewormed, microchipped and given a clean bill of health from a veterinarian prior to adoption/transport.
