Story
PLEASE READ ENTIRE LISTING We transport kittens from South Florida. There is an epidemic of cat overpopulation in South Florida. Tens of thousands of cats & kittens suffer needlessly & need a home. We transport & adopt kittens & cats that have no chance in South Florida. Please note - we are the only legal Florida rescue importer in the state of Mass. We have 3 professional transporters deliver your kitties safely to you. One person is always in the back monitoring the health & well-being of your animal. Although we love dogs they are NEVER on our transport as it adds time & stress for your kitties. Be sure to ask questions of any rescue transporting. Are they legal & how are they transported. There is a big difference. We also use flight angels. Kind volunteers who bring a cat or kitten on a plane ride as their carry-on luggage. We are so grateful for good people. We try to get the kittens as close as we can by air. TO ADOPT A KITTEN, YOU MUST ADOPT IN PAIRS OR HAVE A YOUNG CAT. Our adoption guidelines: Must be 25 years old Must adopt young kittens (6 months or less) you must have a young cat or dog or adopt in pairs UNLESS otherwise stated. Must be a previous cat owner. Must have a vet we can speak to. CT license AIR 000534 MA charity #080383 MA licensed importer #68 USDA # 88-T-0895 You need to meet Cindy & Cowboy! Cindy is a Siamese mix and her brother Cowboy is a tuxedo with the personality of a Siamese and the colors of a cow. They both have super silky, soft coats. They were born approximately May 2025 outside. They and their mom were fed by a human who cared for them, but who didn't hold them much. So when I got them to do TNR, I wanted to keep them for a week or two to see how they would do inside. If they had to be returned to the outside, they would be fed but they would have to live with toads and cigarette butts and no vet care ever. With time, they started to trust their foster and started getting comfortable. And 3 months later, they're still on the more shy side, but they have learned to trust. They love to be petted and they purr up a storm, but hey do not like to be picked up, and they're not lap cats. The first time they see someone new, Cowboy will hiss as a greeting, but that soon goes away. Cowboy loves to play and chase any feather toy on a string. He gets so excited and runs and runs even if he is out of breath he "Must get feather". He is very funny and talks a lot. He also loves to roll around and be petted. Belly rubs are his favorite. He purrs super loudly and enjoys attention. Cindy is the more quiet sister. She is more of an observer, but will come out to play once her brother has gotten all of the attention he demands and is exhausted from sprinting after the toys. She loves cheek scratches and purrs up a storm as well. She is a bit more reserved than Cowboy but still enjoys love and attention. They are very bonded. Once his sister ran out of the foster room, Cowboy didn't stop crying until his sister decided come back from her excursion. They are both on the smaller side for their age. Can you find it in your heart to put in an application and meet these adorable kittens?

Story
Meet Jenny! This lovely lady is a local girl, having been surrendered to us early April - though no fault of her own, simply due to her previous family moving and unable to take her with them. Since being under our care, we noticed she has a head tilt, with close monitoring and x-rays we were unable to find out what had caused it. But it doesn`t seem to be affecting her at all - She remains her sweet and gentle self. Jenny is considered special needs because she is FIV+ meaning her immune system is weakened. But with regular vet visits and an indoor lifestyle she has many more years to curl up by your side. She doesn`t seem to mind much, not caring for dogs barking or other cats, she would do well in any home. Adopt today!Jenny`s fee has been waived in hopes to help her find her forever home!Apply for Jenny at: capeannanimalaid.org/catapp

Story
Meet Tiptoe 💫True to her name, Tiptoe moves through the world slowly, carefully, and on her own terms.Tiptoe came from a home with more than 100 cats, where she didn’t have the chance to learn that humans can be safe, kind, and predictable. Because of that, she is an incredibly sensitive and shy girl who is still figuring out how to trust.Right now, Tiptoe prefers the comfort of her hidey spots, where she can observe the world from a safe distance. But she is making progress. She will venture out for her favorite things, especially food. Churu is the way to her heart. She has even come out for short play sessions with a wand toy when she is feeling brave. One of the sweetest glimpses into her personality happens when the humans step away. She will relax enough to cuddle up on the couch with her brother, Winifred. In a quieter home with more space and time, we believe we will see more of this softer side.Tiptoe is not a cat who will seek out attention or ask to be pet right now. She may not for a long time, and that is okay. What she needs is an adopter who truly understands shy cats and is willing to meet her where she is. Someone patient, gentle, and committed to letting her move at her own pace without expectations. With time, consistency, and a steady supply of Churu, we are hopeful Tiptoe will continue to build confidence and trust. She has already made a lot of progress in her foster home, and we know her journey is just beginning.Tiptoe can be adopted with or without her brother, but she would likely benefit from a confident feline friend to help her feel safe.If you have a quiet home and a big heart for the shy ones, Tiptoe might be your girl. 🐾*tiptoe is thought to be a Lynx Point Siamese Mix, but has not been tested___________________________Please complete an adoption application if you are interested in adopting from Ten Lives! Apply here:  https://tenlivescatrescue.org/adoptionapp/Please Note:If the cat or kitten is no longer listed in the drop-down menu of the application then they are no longer available for adoption and we are not accepting applications. Due to limited volunteer power, applications submitted for cats or kittens no longer available will not be reviewed. About Ten Lives:Ten Lives Cat Rescue is a 501(c)(3), nonprofit organization located in Rhode Island. Our foster-based program is 100% volunteer-powered. We do not have a facility or shelter with regular visiting hours. Out of respect for the time, privacy, and safety of our foster families, we require an approved adoption application before scheduling a meet and greet with a foster cat. Our goal is to place cats in their best-matched homes and facilitate lifelong adoptions. We do not review applications on a first-come, first-serve basis. We believe that veterinary care is an important part of cat guardianship. As such, a veterinary check is part of our adoption process. Our goal is to contact applicants within 96 business hours of receiving their application. During kitten season, wait times may be longer due to the influx of applications. We are all volunteers and kindly ask for your patience! All Ten Lives cats are spayed or neutered, receive age-appropriate vaccinations, tested for FIV/FeLv and parasites, dewormed, treated for fleas, and microchipped. These services are inclusive of the adoption fee.

Meet Casper & Shadow 🐾 Casper and Shadow are a bonded pair of handsome boys looking for a home where they can stay together. Casper, a striking Siamese mix with soft blue eyes, and Shadow, a charming tabby with a gentle soul, have both been through a lot of change recently. Through it all, they’ve remained incredibly resilient and have found comfort in each other along the way. Both boys may need a little time to settle into a new environment and adjust to their surroundings, but with patience, a steady routine, and understanding adopters, they’re sure to continue growing more comfortable and confident. Casper tends to win people over with his sweet charm, while Shadow has a quieter presence that slowly draws you in. Casper and Shadow have experience living with other cats and may do well with feline companions in the future with proper introductions, but for now they’re hoping to continue their journey side by side. They have no known experience with children, though they could do well with calm, cat-savvy kids who understand that some cats need time and space to adjust. If you’re interested in adopting this special duo, please fill out an adopter profile at www.parl.org/adopt and stop by during our open hours!
