Story
I got Apollo from a friend in July of 2022. Her outdoor cat got pregnant and had a litter of kittens on Mother's Day, so his birthday is May 8, 2022, making him 3 now. This all started around a year ago, when he started spraying in the house. We took him and his (not related lol) brother to the vet to have them checked out. They're both totally fine, Apollo just is a really stressed out cat that needs a home where he can claim it as his royal kingdom. He is currently trapped in my room because my mom doesn't want him ruining her house more. He has caused a significant amount of damage and seeing as he won't stop spraying, I have to give him up. He is neutered, I think he just hates not being the only cat in the house. He's a weird little guy, very clean and prissy other than the spraying. Not cuddly, but will lay next to or near you. I just want him to go to a good home where he's loved and cared for, because I really do love him. Please reach out with any questions if interested!!!!!

Story
Birthday: July 12, 2012 If you're an older cat fan, then do we have a treat for you! Ivy is full of spunk and love despite her age.  She was rescued in New Bloomfield before she was brought to LCCR.  It's difficult to tell through her photos, but she has the most beautiful crystalline sky-blue eyes!  They match exquisitely with her lynx point, ivory coat.  That's right! This girl is part Siamese! Being an older kitty, Ivy has the typical needs.  She's being treated for them, but they're relatively normal for a girl her age. She's on a special diet for her diabetes that keeps in in check.  However, she also has a heart murmur, cataracts, and slight loss of hearing. Does this effect her longevity? As long as she gets regular check ups and a healthy diet, she can live a completely normal life! Though she cannot see very well, she gets around great! It may sound like a lot, but maintaining her health isn't as bad as it may seem! If this deters you, we think we can reel you back because this girl has A LOT going for her! Her Siamese side likes to take over conversations, and she loves to chat with her humans! She would love to be in a quieter home where she can have lots of time with her future family.  With time and patience, she even managed to integrate with other kitties. So, if you have a kitty at home for her, a slow introduction might go a ways for little Ivy!  She's incredibly sociable, wanting to do nothing more than spend time with you.  If there are two things she adores, it's a cozy bed and a spot in the sun! She's slowly showing interest in laps and learning how to play with her toys.  All in all, she's a true blue sweetheart who will cuddle up with you in no time.  If you have a place in your heart or a soft spot for older kitties, this girl is the one for you! Her adoption donation is $50 and includes age-appropriate vaccines, dewormer, flea treatment, Felv/FIV testing, microchip, and spay. If you would like more information on Ivy, please contact lovingcarecatrescue@gmail.com. If you would like to fill out an online application, please visit https://lovingcarecatrescue.org/adopt/adoption-application/  Please note:  LCCR does not allow our adopted cats and kittens to be declawed.  All adopted kitties are to be kept as indoor-only pets.If you are interested in adopting this kitty, please fill out the online application at https://alovingcarecatrescue.org/adoptionapplication.html September 29, 2025, 1:40 pm

Story
SCOTTY is a senior kitty who came to us after his senior owner passed away. He is very resilient for an older cat and we are surprised at how well he made the transition to our busy cat room. Scotty does not love other cats but is coexisting rather well. He is tolerant of non-annoying dogs. Loves people! Love his attention! He has a Siamese voice and is not afraid to use it when he begs for treats. He loves Temptations! Although Scotty appears unhealthy, with some fatty blimps and saggy belly, his blood work looks good for a cat his age. His coat is beautiful going from jet black to dark mahogany. We would love to get Scotty into a home where he is once again the apple of someone's eye. Do you have room in your home and heart for Scotty? Please fill out an application at www.companimals.org. Scotty is neutered, vaccinated and tested negative for leukemia/FIV. Adoption $75October 26, 2025, 8:12 pm

Story
Sparrow was living outside of someone's townhouse with her 4 four week old kittens and a 6-month-old kitten from her previous litter. Apparently the person that rented the townhouse previously just left her behind when they moved away. The new tenant was being told that she could not have the cats out there and she didn't know what to do, so she contacted us. We went and got all but three of the kittens (because someone else had went and grabbed them before we got there) and brought them inside. Mom then the older kitten Charlie, have been spayed or neutered, vaccinated for FVRCP and rabies, flea and worm treated and are negative for feline leukemia and AIDS. Sparrow has been a great mom and is nice but is still a little unsure of people after being abandoned like she was the poor thing. She will need a little TLC to feel comfortable and yet another new place.

Story
This new friend has just arrived! They have come to us either as a transfer from another shelter, being found as a stray, or have been surrendered to us by their owner. When our friends are new to us, we are typically unsure of their full background, litter box habits, comfort with handling, or experience with other pets or children. Our staff will spend some time reviewing any information provided by previous owners and spend some time with our new friend so that we can better update their biography. If you are interested in adopting this cat, please submit an adoption questionnaire! Our adoption process is on a first-come, best-match basis and we are not able to hold animals. If you are interested in this specific cat but it ends up not being the best fit upon meeting, our adoption counselors will work with you to help find a match! We may require all household members, including children, to come along for the meeting to make sure it's a good fit. If a match is made, we encourage same-day adoptions! Our adoption fees include the animals' spay/neuter, microchip, age-appropriate vaccinations and preventatives, and a small bag of food to get you started.
