Story
It breaks my heart to rehome my beloved cat, Charcoal. She has been with us for seven wonderful years, and she is truly the most affectionate, people-loving cat you’ll ever meet. Charcoal is a 12lb, all-black Siamese mix with a sweet and gentle nature. She has never scratched a person or furniture (which is rare!), and she loves nothing more than cuddling and being close to her humans. She thrives on attention and would be happiest as the only pet in the home, where she can soak up all your love. She is spayed, completely healthy, and an indoor-only cat. We are looking for someone who will cherish her as part of the family and provide her with the love and care she deserves. If you or someone you know can give Charcoal a warm and loving home, please reach out. 💜

Story
Playful, Calm, Sweet Introducing Crunchy Frog, an adorable flame point Siamese who loves life. This guy is barely 2 years old, still playful and as a kitten he loved to play with other cats. And although he has outgrown kitten hood, we think Crunchy Frog would love to be adopted into a home with a cat for him to cuddle and play with. Crunchy Frog also loves to sleep and chill. He's super sweet and loves to hang out with his people and be pet. In a nutshell, we think he will do well with other cats as well as kids. All APA! cats are fully vetted, spayed or neutered, and have updated vaccines and a microchip. Lifetime support is offered by our Cat Behavior Team. For further information or to meet Crunchy Frog, please email adopt@austinpetsalive.org .

Story
We’re in the process of welcoming Nova, and finding out all about her. We do know she has this stunningly beautiful Seal Point Siamese heritage somewhere in her lineage and the adorable cross eye look that so often comes with that breed. Check back soon for more details, or write adopt@austinpetsalive.org and we’ll connect you with Nova’s caretaker. Nova has tested positive for Feline Leukemia. FeLV is not a type of cancer. It's a virus that causes a weaker immune system and often a shorter life-span. For the most part, 'FeLVies' are just like any other cat. APA! waives the adoption fees of these cats, and provides FeLV-related treatment and support post-adoption. Nova can only live with other FeLV+ cats, but dogs and other animals are just fine! Any questions? We'd love to talk with you about Nova’s care. All APA! cats are fully vetted, spayed or neutered, and have updated vaccines and a microchip. Lifetime support is offered by our Cat Behavior Team. For further information or to meet Nova, please email adopt@austinpetsalive.org .

Story
Sarah is a delightful, talkative 13 year-old female Siamese with an impressive vocabulary.  She enjoys feather-wand toys but her very favorite “toy” is a large piece of kraft paper which she uses as a sled, a tent, and a hiding place for her special furry mice. Sarah is very affectionate and loves head/face/cheek rubs and back rubs, but prefers to sit beside you rather than be a lap-cat. Sarah must have been a WALMART Greeter in a prior life because she rushes to meet visitors and introduce herself. She loves to climb and explore.  Her favorite foods are: Tiki Cat mousse (tuna & mackerel flavor) andTiki Cat Born Carnivore Chicken & Egg dry kibble. Her “jackpot” treat is tuna flavor Tiki Cat Stix.  She has excellent litter box habits. As with many older Siamese, Sarah has early-stage kidney disease (no medication required) and a mild case of hyperthyroidism that is manageable with a daily dose of medication.  The medication is in liquid form and easy to administer.  Sarah’s current owners adopted her 5 years ago from ASR. They are heart-broken to re-home Sarah but they have developed medical issues which prevent them from giving her the care she deserves in her senior years. ##1965666##

As a courtesy listing, Austin Siamese Rescue is not associated with this listing other than providing an avenue to assist cat owners/rescuers in finding loving, responsible homes for their pets.  Please contact the caretaker/foster directly:  savvasbecky@sbcglobal.net Meet Gino--Currently residing in Del Valle Sadly, I think it may be best to rehome Gino. My daughter and I combined households and cats, and he is not happy. It’s been since last August, I’ve tried everything. He is an indoor only cat, and will be 13 this year. He needs to be an only pet, and best to have only older children. He is not a lap cat, but will lay next to you. He loves one on one attention, and grooming. I have always kept him on prescription Hills Science Diet Calming formula to prevent urinary problems as male cats are prone to. I give a little Blue Buffalo Wilderness Adult chicken wet food once a day. I have always used world’s best cat litter (it lasts forever when scooped frequently!).I have had him since he was a kitten, I want him to live the rest of his life in peace. $25 rehoming fee. In Del Valle, Travis County. ***5/24 update: some time after this post he starting to pee inappropriately, but also still in litter box. He’s had a full check up with labs. He looks actually pretty good overall. He does have some protein in his urine, a once a day med will prevent any further kidney damage. His blood pressure is good, his teeth look good (greenie dental treats)etc. I am giving him that pill with a behavioral pill in a greenie pill pocket. The marking/peeing seems to have stopped. He never stopped using the litter box, peed in it always too.I feel he could still thrive in a quiet home as a solo cat.  Austin Siamese Rescue assumes no responsibility for the veracity of the listing or the conduct of the caretaker in the listing. ##2063587##
