Story
Hi! I'm Belle! I am the sweetest little senior Siamese kitty. All I want is to cuddle and be loved. I also love being held! I came from a home where me and 8 other kitties were all kept in separate small, cramped cages and isolated in rooms for years. We didn't get to come out of those cages, and we didn't get to socialize. That's no way for any kitty to live! When I first came to the shelter, it was thought that I had kidney disease and needed extra medical care (like fluids). It turns out I am healthy and don't need it—which is amazing news for an 18-year-old like me. I am looking for a long-term foster home—or a straight-up adoption. I'm the best girl! I am chatty, and I love to tell you about my day and what's been going on. I am looking for a calm home without other kitties or dogs. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Included in our adoption fee, all of our kitties are vaccinated, FELV / FIV tested, dewormed, microchipped, spayed / neutered, and checked out by a veterinarian.

Name: Nixi KaiBreed: Red Point Siamese MixDOB: 2/3/2025Good with kids: YESGood with dogs: YESGood with cats: YESFoster location: Wisc Dells, WIAdoption fee: $100 Fun Bio: These babes will be ready for adoption when they are 8-10 weeks old. So we have some time, but follow their story! Get an application in, and be patient OR apply for one of our already kittens or cats! If interested in a pet from us please fill out the adoption application that is located on our website. We process applications in the order in which they are received. We will likely not respond to interest emails regarding puppies and/or kittens, we get so many "interest" emails that we simply do not have the time to respond to each one.   We always recommend playtime, positive reinforcement training and a regular schedule for feeding times when bringing a new cat/kitten into your home. Adjustment takes time for both you and your new family member, so remember to be patient and enjoy this new and exciting time! Included in the adoption fee are age appropriate vaccinations, FeLV/FIV testing, deworming, spay or neuter surgery, and microchip.   Anti-Declawing Policy: All cats and kittens will have a no declaw policy in their adoption contract with us!   Declawing is a series of bone amputations. Declawing is more accurately described by the term de-knuckling and is not merely the removal of the claws, as the term “declawing” implies. In humans, fingernails grow from the skin, but in animals that hunt prey, the claws grow from the bone; therefore, the last bone is amputates so the claw cannot re-grow. Declawing is one of the most painful, routinely performed procedures in all of veterinary medicine. Each toe of the cat is amputated at the first joint. Declawing a cat is equivalent in a person to amputating the entire first knuckle of every finger.   Declawing is done strictly for the benefit of the owner. There are NO benefits to the cat and NO good reasons to declaw.   Declawing can lead to behavior changes. A declawed cat has no way to defend itself and may resort to biting more often. Due to pain, they may stop using the litterbox.   There are humane alternatives to declawing. Cats can be trained to use scratching posts. They should have their nails trimmed regularly. There is double sided sticky tape that can be put on furniture to deter a cat from scratching there. There are also nail caps called Soft Paws that are glued onto a cat's nail without harm. ##2651348##

Story
I enjoy life in the slow lane, watching the birds and enjoying all the blankets and beds. While I am bunking with another mellow cat, I don’t really take well to other cats, especially if they hiss or are trying to create trouble. I love canned food and treats so make sure you got plenty of both. I can also get quite talkative, after all most of us have opinions on different topics. I do have a mass on my spine and was seen by a specialist but I’m not a candidate for surgery. I can still get around and have no problems getting up on the bench to sit on the window sill. I’m therefore available as a permanent foster or of course for adoption.

Story
Meet Panama – The Blue-Eyed Beauty Learning to Trust Again With her stunning Siamese-mix coat and those breathtaking blue eyes, Panama is a quiet little masterpiece. She carries herself gently, watching the world with quiet curiosity. This sweet girl has been through more than any cat should ever endure, but she survived and even though she starts of shy and reserved, she continues to show that survivor spirit through deep love of her foster mom (and anything soft)!  Panama will thrive in a calm home with loving humans who can give her the time she needs to adjust to new surroundings. She would do best as a solo cat, as she is not a fan of the resident cats in her foster home. She would do well with older and respectful, children who can understand her boundaries and move at her pace. When she first arrived at her foster home, she was very scared and needed to decompress alone in a quiet room. Now, after weeks of patience and kindness, she has made major breakthroughs and is beginning to show her true, loving personality. As Panama continues to show her survivor spirit, her sweetness shines through more each day. She enjoys pets from her foster mom and rewards kindness with a big, loud purr and the softest little head butts along with a cute high pitched squeaky meow. While she may make her discomfort known at first with a cautious hiss or growl, she is truly all bark and no bite — having never even tried to scratch or bite anyone. Once she has settled she enjoys a good lap snuggle (though she appreciates having the freedom to hop down when she chooses — a girl deserves her independence!). She loves lounging in warm patches of sunshine and exploring her surroundings, especially all the hidey spots under the furniture! Having spent most of her young life trying to survive, Panama has only recently begun to discover the joy of play — especially batting at a string toy with growing confidence. Every small step she takes feels like a victory. Panama is a very sweet girl who simply needs someone willing to see her potential and give her the time to blossom. We promise this special blue-eyed beauty will be worth the wait. Once she trusts you, her love is quiet, sincere, and incredibly meaningful. If you have a peaceful home and a patient heart, Panama is ready to slowly, bravely make it her forever home!  WE DO NOT HAVE A PHYSICAL LOCATION AS WE ARE A FOSTER-BASED ORGANIZATION.  PLEASE SUBMIT AN APPLICATION TO BE IMMEDIATELY CONNECTED TO A SCREENER. You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Please contact ShTa for more information about this pet. Thanks for your interest in a pet from A.R.F.! If you see a pet here, they are still available for adoption and you should apply through our adoption application on our website at  https://www.arf-il.org/adopt/application/   Meet Mocha – The Sassy Siamese Senior! If you’re looking for a spunky, chatty companion with plenty of personality, Mocha might be your purrfect match! This lovely lady is a former ARF kitty who was sadly returned when her adopter’s health took a turn. It took her a little while to adjust, but now her true diva nature is shining through. Mocha LOVES to talk! She’ll meow for attention, tell you about her day, and make sure you know exactly what she’s thinking. She’s also a bit of a shadow—she’ll follow you around the house to keep tabs on everything going on. Don’t worry though, she’s not one to get in your way; she just wants to stay in the loop! While Mocha can be a bit sassy (a quick hiss now and then when she’s not pleased), she’s never aggressive. She just likes to keep things clear—after all, she’s a lady of discerning taste. When she’s in the mood for love, she’ll happily curl up in your lap or snuggle with you at night. She’d love to be your sleep buddy and would make an excellent cuddle partner. Mocha is currently on a special kidney diet to support her early-stage kidney disease. She’s doing well and hasn’t shown any progression of the condition, but she’ll need regular check-ups to make sure she stays healthy. Mocha would prefer to be the queen of her domain, so she’s looking for a home where she can be the only feline royalty. She’s also fine with calm, gentle dogs, as long as they respect her space. If you think you can handle this little diva with a heart of gold, Mocha is ready to meet her forever family! Could it be you?   Mocha  is micro-chipped, up to date on all vaccinations,  spayed, and litter box trained. Mocha's adoption fee is $150.  If you are interested in meeting Mocha, please fill out our Online Application today!   Once your application has been approved, an ARF volunteer will be able to contact you to arrange a meeting.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.   Thank you for considering a rescue pet from A.R.F.-Animal Rescue Foundation! We are  based in Wheaton, IL and conduct adoption events in the DuPage County area. If you are interested in adopting one of our pets, please submit an adoption application at https://www.arf-il.org/adopt/application/  Adoption appointments are scheduled based on the order of applications received, so submit your application early! Submitting an application does not commit you to any animal but does get you a head start with the adoption approval process. Due to a high volume of applications, we are often unable to respond to questions or schedule meetings until your application has been approved. More information about our adoption process can be found on our website here: https://www.arf-il.org/adopt/ As an all-volunteer, foster home-based organization, A.R.F. Animal Rescue Foundation does not have a facility where applicants can visit our animals. Please visit https://www.arf-il.org/events/ for a list of our upcoming adoption events.  Thank you for choosing to adopt, not shop! April 8, 2026, 5:17 pm
