Story
Meet Scooby, an 8 month old puppy with an endearing personality. He is super sweet and a little nervous so he appreciates people that are patient enough to let him warm up a bit. I mean, all good things are worth a little bit of a wait....Scooby's affections is absolutely one of them! He loves other dogs and would do best in a home with another dog to show him how to roll. He loves to give kisses and will roll over for belly rubs. His zest for life is infectious, and he has a knack for making everyday moments feel special. With Scooby, there's never a dull moment. He's not just a pet, he's a friend who'll stick by your side, making you laugh and giving you all the love he has to offer. Adopt Scooby and let him fill your life with joy, laughter, and unconditional love. Scooby Is spayed/neutered, up to date on age-appropriate vaccinations, treated for all of the intestinal parasites, and current on flea/tick and heartworm preventative. Because intestinal parasites are cyclical, your puppy may need additional treatment once you get him/her home. This is common and nothing to be alarmed about. Puppies and dogs need to be treated periodically for parasites throughout their entire lives. Visit our website to see our weekend Events here! Pup’s with the designated “meet me” next to their names are in CT and ready to attend adoption events. Please check with your adoption coordinator if you are interested in a specific dog prior to coming to an event, as a dog's availability to attend can change at any time. We can not guarantee approval on site at the events, so we recommend applying ahead of time. You can apply at the event, but the application process may not be able to be completed the same day. If you are not pre-approved, you are still welcome to come and meet pups at the event! The adoption fee is $600 which includes spay/neuter, up to date vaccinations, flea/tick and heartworm preventatives, and the mandatory CT HB 5368 fee. More and more of our adopters are having fun with DNA tests on their pups. You might ask yourself why our breed guess is varying degrees of difference from the DNA tests. Most of our puppies are rescued from high kill shelters or other abandonment situations and we have no info on parents. When we rescue puppies that have no background info, we make our very best educated guess as to breed mix and age. Our guesstimate comes from years and years and years of animal welfare work and training, but our guesses won't always agree with your vet, your neighbor, your DNA test, etc. The most important thing to know about your puppy's breed mix is that most likely he/she is a Super Lovable Mutt made of many many many different breeds. If you are a MA resident, your new family member is required to go through a mandatory 48 hour quarantine period at the Woburn MA isolation facility. Your new family member will be dropped off by our transport on Thursday and will be ready for you to pick him/her up on Saturday between 11 am-1 pm. An additional $100 fee will be added for any dogs picked up from the Woburn MA quarantine facility. This additional fee is necessary in order to comply with MA Order 405-CD-12 and Order 1-AHO-05. TO APPLY PLEASE GO TO www.cprdogs.com. If your application was successfully submitted you will get an automatically generated confirmation email. Please DO NOT USE the ADOPTAPET "CONTACT THIS RESCUE GROUP" form below or you may not hear from us as these often end up in spam or bouncing back. After receipt of your application, an adoption counselor will then be in touch to answer your questions about this pup, discuss the adoption process and get the ball rolling! If you have not heard from one of our volunteers within 5 days of submitting your application, please email mollibo@gmail.com.

Story
Huck was picked up from animal control and his owners didn't come forward to get him back. So no history is known for this sweet guy. Happy to meet people and little cautious of new things. Plays well with others & is very submissive in his meeting of new furry friends. Goof ball at heart and will make you laugh at his facial expressions. Will need training for he likes to jump on you so little ones that fall over easy shouldn't apply. But older children that can take a push need to get in line to adopt this sweet heart. Huck is spayed/neutered, up to date on vaccinations, and current on flea/tick and heartworm preventative. This dog has tested neg for heartworms. The adoption fee is $450 if your adoption is prepaid and final prior to your dog's arrival. An additional $50 will be charged on dogs that are picked up from our Southbury CT adoption center, adopted at an event, or foster home. This additional fee is necessary in order to comply with CT HB 5368. WANT TO MEET OUR DOGS IN PERSON? Check the Events tab on cprdogs.com for all weekend adoption event info. The majority of the dogs marked as 'meet me' will be there to see you! Well trained dog but has recently shown aggression towards my young children ages 4, 3 and 2. Would do better in a home with no young children. Gets along with everyone else fine including other dogs (we have another in the house currently). Not concerned about the fee just looking for Mary to go to a good home. Thank you.

Jasper Foster/Home Needed – Long Island, NY Meet Jasper. He is a 14mo old Saint Bernard. He takes a little time to warm up to new people, but once he knows you, he’s just a great big mush of a mutt. He loves to play and loves attention. He is good with kids and gets along well with the 4 large dogs he knows. He’s still a puppy so he could use a little social training. His current guardian is homebound and cannot provide the care and training Jasper needs. He will be neutered and UTD on all. If you are interested in being the forever home this handsome gentle giant needs, please contact adoptions@paws-li.org or go to our FB page or call the number listed below.
