Story
Meet Bernie, a gentle and affectionate senior Saint Bernard,(aged around 8 years old-color brown and white) with a heart as big as his paws. Despite his size, Bernie is a sweet-natured companion who adores people and craves affection. Sadly, circumstances beyond his control have led him to seek a new forever home or a foster home after his previous owner sadly passed away and he spent several months in the shelter. Bernie enjoys walks, lounging indoors, and indulging in treats. He would thrive in a calm and loving household, where he can receive the attention and care he deserves in his golden years. If you're seeking a loyal and devoted furry friend, consider welcoming Bernie into your heart and home, where he promises a lifetime of love and companionship. Adopting or fostering Bernie isn't just an act of kindness; it's an opportunity to make a senior dog's twilight years truly special. Application available at https://www.pawsofloverescue.com/adoption-application   . Adoption donation of $150 includes spay, microchip, deworming, dhpp vaccinations, rabies shot, bordetella nose spray and any other necessary procedures prior to adoption. Dallas/Ft. Worth Area Applications can be found online at www.pawsofloverescue.com, under the adopt tab.  We require an approved application before a meet and greet is set up.  May 4, 2024, 5:25 pm

Story
Molly is a 1 ½ year old chunky monkey full Saint Bernard. She has more energy than most Saints dream of. She loves to play fetch and would love for someone to take her on walks and give her the attention and training that she needs. She is approximately 100 pounds and could stand to lose a few pounds. She is spayed, current on all vaccinations, heartworm negative and house trained for the most part. If you are wanting a fabulous Saint Bernard that can be active with their humans, Molly should be considered. She is always happy and is always so excited to see and be touched by her humans. Molly would prefer to be the only dog, however, she lived with her mother and sister most of her life. In concern for families with small children, we will not adopt a dog to a home with any child under the age of 5. This is due to the large size of Saint Bernards and the safety of your children. Our Saint Bernards are not aggressive or mean in any way, they can just knock down children easily. If you would like to visit our pups please contact St. Cloud's Rescue at www.stcloudsrescue.org or call 972-679-5319. The first step in adopting from St. Cloud's Rescue is to complete an application. We require a home visit prior to all placements. All our dogs must be microchipped at a cost of $20.00. There is a $350.00 donation fee. All dogs adopted through St Clouds Rescue must be indoors. Story
Sullivan is a gorgeous, 7-month-old pure Saint Bernard puppy. Sullivan was a stray puppy that was found with his mother, Nana. Sullivan is approximately 65 pounds and is as cute as a button. He is about 85% potty trained and has a very deep voice for such a little boy. He will be neutered by the middle of November. He is current on all vaccinations. Sullivan is, however, a special needs Saint. He was born with hip issues on one of his back legs. Most of the time it does not affect him, and we are not sure as he grows older what the expectations will be of his hips. We are happy to discuss his medical needs in more detail. He is currently not on any medication and runs and plays fine. In concern for families with small children, we will not adopt a dog to a home with any child under the age of 5. This is due to the large size of Saint Bernards and the safety of your children. Our Saint Bernards are not aggressive or mean in any way, they can just knock down children easily. Story
Nana is the mother of Sullivan, the 7-month puppy. Both were found to be strays. Nana weighs approximately 110 pounds and has a beautiful rough coat. She is spayed, current on all vaccinations and heartworm negative. She does have an extra long tongue which she was either born with or it was due to trauma sometime in her life. It does not affect her ability to eat or drink, she just has a very long tongue. She is approximately 2-3 years old, has a great disposition and is ready and looking forward to finding a wonderful new forever-home. Story
Ingrid is a gorgeous Saint Bernard that is approximately 2 ½ year old, that weighs approximately l00 pounds. She will be spayed in March. She has never had puppies. She is good with all dogs, cats and children, says her previous owner. She was an owner surrender, due to not fault of her own, it was strictly a change in family make up. She is current on all vaccinations, housetrained and we believe her to be heartworm negative, but that will be confirmed when she gets spayed. She is loving young lady and that would make anyone a perfect companion.

Story
Meet Roxie! A delightful three-year-old Border Collie/Bernese Mountain Dog mix from Fort Worth, Texas, whose gentle soul and loving eyes are sure to steal your heart! Roxie, a strikingly beautiful large dog weighing about 60 pounds, embodies the loyalty and intelligence of her breeds. She's not just a companion; she's a friend who adores being close, whether it’s snuggling next to you on the rug or occasionally hopping into bed to catch some Z's together! A paragon of good behavior, Roxie is fully crate and house-trained. She responds brilliantly to commands like sit, down, stay, come, and even shake, showing off her good manners daily. She’s a dog who doesn’t jump up on you, preferring to express her affection in more grounded ways—perhaps with a gentle nudge of her nose or a calm presence by your side. Roxie thrives in a space where she can stretch her legs and explore, making her ideal for a home with a backyard where she can roam and play. She’s also a phenomenal watchdog, always alert and observant, making her a reassuring presence in any home. Her favorite toy is an owl squeaky toy, and she loves activities that stimulate both her mind and body, like tug of war or a challenging game of fetch! Though Roxie does well in her crate and is unperturbed by short periods alone, she's not too fond of other dogs or squirrels during her walks, which can make her a bit anxious. Thus, she'd flourish most with an owner who understands her need for daily walks and playtime, all within a safe, secure environment. This wonderful dog is looking for a loving owner who enjoys outdoor activities as much as indoor cuddles, someone who values the serene companionship Roxie offers. She is vaccinated, spayed, microchipped, and her health checks are all up-to-date, making her ready to start her next chapter with a caring family. Could you be the one to explore new horizons with Roxie, giving her the loving home and the playful yard she dreams of? For adoption inquiries, please contact adopt@joyfulpets.com!

Story
Meet Dallas and Nova! Two affectionate pals residing in Dixon, IL, each with their unique personality waiting to be discovered! Dallas, a spirited Blue-Nosed Pitbull, 9 years old, but his zest for life rivals that of a playful puppy. Despite his exuberance, Dallas grapples with some anxiety. Nova, a Bull Mastiff/Rottweiler mix, is gearing up for her 10th birthday on July 2nd. With a gentle demeanor, she exudes a sense of tranquility while still embracing her youthful enthusiasm, often cuddling up as if she were a lapdog, despite her imposing size. While formal obedience training has not been a part of their journey, Dallas and Nova are proficient in essential commands such as sit, down, paw, up, high five, leave it, enough, and drop it. However, their personalities extend beyond these commands. Dallas and Nova need a home without other small animals, especially cats, due to past incidents where they have harmed them—one recently and another several years ago. A family or individual who is dedicated, understanding, and experienced in managing complex canine behaviors would be ideal. They will also do best in a home with a fenced-in yard providing space for their adventures. Dallas and Nova are friendly to strangers and in moments of solitude, both canines demonstrate resilience, although Dallas may experience anxiety during vet visits or car rides. It's essential to approach these situations with patience and understanding to alleviate his fears. Dallas and Nova weigh around 90 pounds and are up to date on their vaccinations and have been spayed and neutered. To make sure that Dallas and Nova has a great start with their new family, we have a canine behaviorist available for a free consultation. For those considering welcoming these lovable companions into their homes, inquiries can be directed to adopt@joyfulpets.com for more information, understanding that while this profile provides insight into their personalities, the true depth of their character can only be discovered through personal interaction!
