Meet Jess — Your Future Best Friend Say hello to Jess, a stunning 18-month-old Pittie with a blownish-blue coat that turns heads wherever she goes. This sweet girl has already weathered some tough times—abandoned and likely a mama in her past—but she hasn’t let that dim her spirit. Jess is: Incredibly affectionate — a certified lovebug who adores human attention Dog-friendly — she plays well with other pups Not a fan of cats — her prey drive makes her better suited to a feline-free home Crate trained and well-mannered indoors Spayed, microchipped, and up-to-date on all vaccines Playful and full of life — she’ll keep you smiling with her goofy charm Jess is looking for a loving home where she can finally be someone’s cherished companion. She’s ready to give her whole heart to the person who gives her a second chance. Could that be you? ##2508142##

Story
Maggie was found abondoned in a shopping cart at Publix as a puppy. Her caring and current foster family found her and immediately brought her home to safety. With no microchip or owner to be found, they decided to take in Maggie and teach her house manners and what it feels like to be loved. Maggie has been pampered and is now ready for her forever home. She is very people friendly (especially kids), dog friendly and cat friendly. She is spayed, fully vetted, and would very much love a large yard and sibling(s) to play with. She is very athletic and has lots of energy for fetch and play time. She also has a cuddly side, and is very affectionate. Apply online at Dirt Road Doggies Rescue!  ##2653744##

Story
RubyFemaleStaffordshire Bull TerrierDOB: 2/20/25Adoption Fee: $200Ruby in the house! This beautiful girl is so excited to find her new family! She is a very spunky, happy 1 year old pup who would benefit from consistent training. She is a bit wary of strangers still, as she didn't have good socialization in the early stages of puppyhood. Men seem to make her nervous, but with time and patience, she could learn to trust anyone. She is very submissive, so she would do well with a dog that needs to be in charge but is still gentle with her. She would thrive in a home with a structured environment, and she would do well with older kids who could play with her in the yard and help with training. She doesn't quite understand personal space with those she trusts, but she just loves being near her favorite people and will be a very loyal dog with the right guidance. We all want the best home for this silly girl, and we're hoping that's going to be you! Stop by today to meet her- you never know, she may become your newest family member!!Please read the animal bios completely before requesting additional information as we do our best to answer the most frequently ask questions in these bios. In order to adopt one of our animals an application must be submitted and approved. You can find these applications by going to http://humanemorgan.org/index.php?page=adoption ABOUT ADOPTING FROM THE HSMC: The shelter address is 1170 Fairground Rd. Madison, GA 30650. For more information on any of our pets, please feel free to email us at INFO@HUMANEMORGAN.ORG give us a call at 706-343-9977. All dogs are heartworm negative, current on vaccines/dewormings, and microchipped. All cats are current on vaccines/deworming, and microchipped. We are open 12pm-5pm Sunday-Friday and 10 am-5pm on Saturday, we schedule our last adoption at 4pm everyday to allow our staff enough time to feed and walk dogs. We are an animal shelter and therefore are not able to individually potty train our residents. Many adult dogs do arrive “house broken” however due to animal behavior any change in environment will make an emotional impact on the animals and therefore initiate unwanted behaviors during the acclamation period. Please keep this in mind. Puppies do not have the biological maturity to maintain absolute bladder or bowel control and will require a certain degree of potty training and house breaking. Please consider the time and commitment it takes to provide the necessary building blocks for these special babies, prior to submitting your application. If you have any questions please email us at info@humanemorgan.org and provide name of the animal you are interested in, in the subject line. Thank you, HSMC Staff ADOPTION FEES Adoption Fees may change without notice. Story
Ebbie is one of our longtime guests, and he's been waiting for a home for years. He lives in his own air-conditioned, heated cottage on the property and has a little courtyard in which to sun himself. But, a shelter is not a home, no matter how special your digs are. Everything about Ebbie is solid -- his stature, his energy, the confidence with which he carries himself. He's a guy who attaches deeply to his human and would do well in a low-traffic, lower-stress home. He would thrive with a routine and a little structure to his days. He likes knowing what to expect. He is very loyal and endearing and he adores his shelter friends. He knows his basic commands and is polite and self-assured. He loves to lounge around and take it slow.
