We’re looking for a truly special home for Ali, a 3-year-old Staffordshire mix with the gentlest heart and the most soulful eyes. He’s been through a lot—he’s underweight, likely hasn’t had consistent care in a long time, and yet… he’s still so sweet, trusting, and full of love. Ali came to us from the shelter, and while our hearts were in the right place, we’ve realized we don’t have the capacity right now to give him the life he deserves. We already have a dog at home, and between their adjustment, our work, and the emotional weight of it all, we’re stretched thin. It's been heartbreaking to admit—but the best thing we can do for Ali is find the right place for him to thrive. We’re looking for a foster or forever home where he can heal—physically and emotionally. He needs a loving place, a little patience, and someone who sees past his current condition to the incredible dog he’s becoming. We just want him safe, loved, and appreciated so that he can do the same for you!

Her previous family rescued her from the shelter at @ 4 months old. In December of 2023, they needed to leave the country due to their visa ending and it was only supposed to be a few months so I agreed to foster her. They cut off all communication after 5 months. I kept her because I love her, but I already have 7 rescues that are my own and she clearly can’t be in a household with other dogs. Too many fights, and I have to protect my fur babies. Although she is dog-aggressive, she is NOT AT ALL human aggressive. She grew up with children and I have a young child. She would give her life for her family. We adore her but I’m in a horrible situation and I am trying to find her a wonderful family where she will be the only dog. I will have to surrender her to the shelter next week if I can’t rehome her. It’s gotten bad because I already have two alpha females. None of it is her fault. She didn’t ask to be in a home with other dogs. Please help give her the family she deserves.

Ebbie is one of our longtime guests, recently reaching the 6-year mark. He lives in his own air-conditioned, heated cottage on the property and has a little courtyard in which to sun himself. But, a shelter is not a home, no matter how "special" your digs are. Everything about Ebbie is solid -- his stature, his energy, the confidence with which he carries himself. He's a guy who attaches deeply to his human, sometimes a little too deeply, causing him to feel like he needs to protect them from strangers. For that reason, Ebbie, 10, would do well in a low-traffic, lower-stress home. He would thrive with a routine and a little structure to his days. He likes knowing what to expect, as do we. He is very loyal and endearing and he adores his shelter friends. He knows his basic commands and is polite and self-assured. He loves to lounge around and take it slow.
