Story
Gatsby is a handsome Doodle mix with a heart full of love! This affectionate, intelligent boy is a true velcro dog who loves being with his people and will happily follow you wherever you go.
Gatsby is crate trained, rides beautifully in the car, tolerates baths like a champ, and has wonderful house manners. He enjoys daily walks, loves exploring new smells, and is continuing to build confidence and polish his leash skills. He already knows sit, down, shake, come, and leave it, and even waits patiently for permission before eating.
Gatsby has done well living with another dog. As he's settled into foster care, he's begun showing a few common adolescent behaviors, including occasional toy resource guarding and leash reactivity. He's making great progress with positive reinforcement training and would do best with a family committed to continuing his training and setting him up for success.

Gatsby is a 1.5-year-old Doodle mix rescued from a high-intake shelter. This dog's adoption fee is $1200 and includes up-to-date vaccinations, microchip, 4DX testing, and neuter. Gatsby is also tested with other dogs, children, and potty and kennel trained. He is not tested with cats. We would love for you to meet this dog and see if he might be a good fit for your home.
The first step to adoption is completing an adoption application on our website at www.bounceanimalrescue.org. Pending approval, your application is valid for 1 year, and you will be eligible to request a hold on an individual animal for the Saturday adoption event. The hold does not require that you take the animal home, but ensures you get to meet and make an adoption decision prior to other applicants. Also pending approval, you will be able to acquire foster home contact information, so you inquire on personalities of specific animals.
We do offer midweek private adoption appointments for approved applicants pending staff, foster home, and vetting schedules. Because we are 100% foster-based, private adoption appointments are only offered for individual animals. (If interested in viewing multiple animals at one time, we encourage you to attend our adoption events!)
Please note, adoption applications are processed within 1–2 business days. Adoption applications cannot be processed onsite at adoption events.
Our adoption events take place every Saturday from 10am-Noon at Pet Supplies Plus (Front Range Village, 2912 Council Tree Ave #100, Fort Collins, 80525).
