Story
** If you are interested in adopting Noelle, please fill out our adoption application at http://farfels.com/farfels-rescue/adoption-form/ ** Meet Noelle! Noelle is a silly and friendly 1 year old, 30 pound Doodle of some sort! The vets believe she is a Schnoodle (Schnauzer / Poodle mix). This sweet girl was recently relinquished to a small rural shelter in Texas alongside two other dogs. Her former owner, who was experiencing homelessness and lacked access to transportation, food, or basic resources, made the heartbreaking but selfless decision to surrender her pups so they could have a chance at a better life. We’re so grateful she did—Noelle deserves nothing less. Noelle is super friendly with both people and other dogs, and she thrives on attention and playtime. As a young pup, she would do best in a home with someone who has the time to engage with her and channel her energy in fun, positive ways. Since Noelle is so young, she is a blank slate just waiting for a kind and patient human to show her the way. With positive reinforcement training, she has all the potential in the world to be a loyal, well-mannered adult companion. She’ll thrive with virtual or in-person force-free training classes, which will help strengthen her bond with her humans and build her confidence. Noelle is up to date on her vaccinations and is spayed. Farfel's Rescue is a fully foster based rescue, and offers a one week trial with every adoption. We feel that this is much more beneficial to not only the dog, but the adopter too. We believe that only getting 20-30 minutes with a dog before deciding on a lifetime commitment is not a fair amount of time to the adopter, or the dog. Therefore we give adopters one week with the dog to assure it is the right fit, and offer a full refund of their adoption fee should it not workout within the week trial. Farfel's Rescue has been doing adoptions this way since 2005 and is thrilled to adopt out ~400 dogs each year. Applications are currently being accepted for our wonderful pup. If interested in this gorgeous, very cuddly/sweet and loving best friend, please fill out an application completely at http://farfels.com/farfels-rescue/adoption-form/ and submit. **PLEASE NOTE** If you're truly interested in adopting from us, please be sure to fill out our Farfel's Rescue adoption application found at the link above or at farfels.com. Adoption site applications such as Petfinder and Adoptapet don't provide enough information and therefore aren't useful. Our Farfel's application is the only initial tool that we have to determine a great match for this very deserving dog. We're sorry, but in many cases, we're unable to get back to those that don't submit our Farfel's Rescue adoption application. Thanks very much for choosing rescue.

Story
They have a large pen with the crate in it. I keep the door to the crate open. He will go into the pen when I tell him it’s time for bed. The pen is left open when I am home and he can go out my doggie door. I take them out several times a day but they can come and go all day long when I am home. I take them outside every morning before I feed them. I take them out in the evening before bed. I keep water in the pen. I also put a tarp and paper down. Very good about not whining in the pen. Will whine in the crate when the door is closed. He will have accidents in the house but he now uses the potty pad. Typical puppy all in all, a very sweet boy. Very shy and has started to warm up to me.  ##2567502##

Story
Lacey is 6 years old, a poodle mix, microchipped, and has received her parvo/distemper and bordetella. Previously adopted in 2023. She was returned to the rescue in 11/2025 after the owner was unable to keep her.   Lacey is microchipped and current on the DAPPV vaccine, dewormed, and has her bordetella. AN UPDATED RABIES VACCINE IS NEEDED. It is said that Lacey is a very loving and affectionate dog who enjoys being the center of attention. She shows signs of jealousy toward other dogs and would rather be the only dog, especially so she can enjoy uninterrupted lap time. She will do better as the only pet for uninterrupted affection, even though she can tolerate other dogs. Although she has lived with children before, she might do better with older children who are more likely to respect her need for time and space. Because she is kennel trained, Lacey can enter her kennel without any problems, especially when it's time for her treat. Although she has demonstrated strong potty training abilities, she might benefit from a refresher course to strengthen cues. Her bathroom routine is supported by the doggie door she has access to. Recommendations Suitable for a household without other dogs or with very calm, respectful animals to avoid jealousy issues. Best matched with families with older children who understand dog body language and respect Lacey’s need for personal space. Rabies vaccination should be scheduled right away in order to protect her health and comply with legal requirements. House training and cues should be consistently reinforced to ensure consistency. Please fill out an application at www.fureverdogdenver.com, if you have any questions or would like to meet her, please call Debbie at 720-588-6809. ##1621369##

Story
Canelo is an approximately 8-year-old poodle mix who exhibits a youthful and energetic personality, characterized by his increased activity levels and a strong desire for attention. He has been neutered, microchipped, and is up to date on all vaccinations, which are excellent indicators of his good health and readiness for a new home. Despite his bright demeanor, Canelo's previous living conditions were less than ideal; he was having accidents inside, so he was left outside. Canelo thrives on close human contact and shows a particular comfort and affinity for being around children. His preference for intimacy and attention makes him a wonderful candidate for a family environment that can provide frequent, positive interactions. Given his exuberance, a home with older children who understand dog behavior and boundaries will be the best fit, helping to prevent unintentional overwhelm or inappropriate play. To ensure Canelo’s success in a new home, it is important to establish a supportive routine that includes regular, scheduled outdoor bathroom breaks combined with positive reinforcement and close supervision. Gradually expanding his allowed roaming space and careful nighttime management will further reinforce his housetraining efforts. With patience, structure, and love, Canelo is poised to become a joyful and well-adjusted companion. For those interested in providing a loving home for Canelo or who wish to learn more, please fill out an application or contact Debbie at (720) 588-6809 to arrange a meeting. ##2575332##

Story
Meet Sprocket, a 4-year-old Poodle mix with a big personality and a heart full of potential. Sprocket has had a rough start and comes with a history of reactivity and biting. He’s a scared dog who needs a firm, experienced owner to help him feel secure and establish boundaries. Sprocket has had training sessions and responds well to clear, consistent leadership. Once he knows you’re in charge, he’s much more relaxed and doesn’t push back. However, he does react to new people and should wear a muzzle during initial introductions for safety. Despite his challenges, Sprocket has no health issues and thrives on affection from his trusted person. He enjoys being cuddled and will show his sweet side once he’s built trust. If you’re an experienced dog owner ready to provide a structured, loving environment, Sprocket could be a rewarding companion. He’s looking for someone who can help him overcome his fears and show him the love and stability he deserves.

Story
Meet Kona - Your Giant, Goofy, Loveable Cloud! Kona is a big Aussiedoodle with an even bigger personality. This fluffy superstar is equal parts silly, sweet, and full of life. He has that classic doodle bounce, so expect some enthusiastic hops when he is excited. His energy is contagious, and his goofy antics will have you laughing every day. He adores his people with his whole giant heart, but he is still working on feeling calm around other dogs. He can be reactive on leash, so he will thrive in a home that can offer structure, patience, and positive training as he continues to learn. He would much rather focus on you anyway. Your cuddles, your treats, and your attention are his favorite things in the world. Despite his size, he is a total softie who loves being close, making you smile, and showing off his goofy charm. If you want a loyal companion who brings joy, laughter, and lots of fluff into your life, Kona might be your perfect match. Rescue Notes:Kona will thrive with an adopter who can continue his training and help him build confidence on leash, especially around other dogs. He gets mouthy when he is excited, so ongoing guidance and structure will help him channel that enthusiasm in positive ways. He would love a home with a fenced yard where he can play, explore, and burn off his happy energy. Apply online at www.lolasrescue.com  ##2587576##

Story
There's nothing quite like the fun and silliness of a sweet young dog...and then they put their heads quietly on your shoulder breathing their warm breath. These very loving young dogs are so pure and vulnerable that it's unbearable to think of them homeless and hungry or in a high-kill shelter with euthanasia pending due to lack of space. Peaches, at just about 9 months old and 14 lbs (anticipated to be approximately 16 or so pounds when full-grown) was facing the end of her life before it ever began. Farfel's Texas rescuers are compassionate and loving and couldn't turn their backs on this gorgeous girl with the great temperament. They rescued Peaches just in the nick of time to spare her life. Sweet Peaches is starting out with great energy. The excellent results of her temperament-testing ended with a transport ticket to Colorado and a brand new life. She's also very beautiful with gorgeous dark eyes displaying wisdom far beyond her years. Peaches has a stunning non-shedding coat that speaks of her breed mix. Sadly, her hair is currently shelter-tired but once on a regular protocol of care, it will be gorgeous with excellent health. This sweet girl will require a lifelong commitment to periodic grooming (approximately every 8 weeks) and excellent nutrition (5 star food and a salmon oil supplement for hair care) to keep her coat cottony-soft and matte-free. Peaches is appropriately playful and inquisitive for her young age. She's also so loving and cuddly. This little girl would be very excited to be a couch potato and snuggle with her favorite people at the end of an active day. She's also SO smart and engaging - very typical of a Poodle mix (with a bit of Terrier). Many would say the Poodle and Terrier breeds are among the most intelligent and engaging in the dog world. Since Peaches is just a young pup, she's a blank slate just waiting for a kind and patient human to show her the way. She has all the potential in the world to be an awesome family companion. Peaches will form firm bonds with her family (as well as other dogs and humans) and learn positive socialization skills through virtual or in-person positive reinforcement training classes. This training experience will make a profound difference in a dog's behavior and their relationship with their people. It does take time and commitment yet pays off a thousand times over when you have a dog that can accompany you out in the world with excellent behavior. We feel very strongly that every dog and their family deserves the opportunity for formal, positive reinforcement training classes. We therefore aren't willing to adopt Peaches out to a home that doesn't choose to offer her this training opportunity. Farfel's is happy to provide a list of approved virtual or in-person positive reinforcement / force-free trainers in your area. We're open to Peaches finding her forever home with a retired couple or individual with lots of energy to train and enjoy a silly and super-smart pup. Peaches enjoys her relationships with all humans and dogs, we would prefer however, to place her in a home with older kids only (tail pulling or rough treatment by young kids will create an adult dog that's fearful of children). Older kids can be active participants in a training regimen and friendship that's so important in a dog's development. Peaches enjoys her relationships with other dogs as well and would love playing hard and enjoying the sunshine with a canine friend on a beautiful day. Peaches will be up to date on her vetting / vaccinations to be in line with our commitment to adopting out only healthy dogs. She has also been spayed in our quest to make a euthanasia-free future in the canine population a reality. Peaches will be arriving on transport in Boulder on 12/20/2025. Applications are currently being accepted for this beautiful, very sweet and loyal best friend. An application can be found at http://farfels.com/farfels-rescue/adoption-form/. If interested, please fill out completely and submit. **PLEASE NOTE** If you're truly interested in adopting Paches please be sure to fill out our Farfel's Rescue adoption application found at the link above or at farfels.com. Adoption site applications such as Petfinder and Adoptapet don't provide enough information and therefore aren't useful. Our Farfel's application is the only initial tool we have to determine a great match for this very deserving pup. We're sorry, but in many cases, we're unable to get back to those that don't submit our Farfel's Rescue adoption application. Thanks very much for choosing rescue.
