Story
Meet a friendly and energetic boy who is ready to bring a burst of happy energy to your life! This sweet pup already comes with fantastic manners, as his previous owner shared that he is both potty trained and crate trained, with a wonderful history of living happily with kids and other dogs. To keep him looking and feeling his best, he will need a family committed to regular grooming for his healthy coat, along with an active, experienced owner who can provide ample daily exercise and basic training. He is looking for a feline-free home with no cats, where he can dedicate all his love and playful spirit entirely to his human and dog companions!

Story
I have a 3 yr old black male whoodle (wheaton terrier/poodle mix). We adopted Theo in 2023 from a breeder in Byers, Co. The breeder is Green Valley Kennel. Theo's birthday is 3/23/23. He is up to date on vaccinations, we take him to Goodheart Vet in Lowry which is in Denver. We have 7 and 11 yr old children. Theo is mainly with us and never around any other dogs other than when we take him on walks. He's never been trained. Theo is very energetic and friendly. At first, with new people he is jumpy and curious and once he establishes trust he is fine, but it takes awhile. I groom and wash Theo myself because tends to get nippy with strangers. I have to place a muzzle on Theo when we go to the vet, to the pet washing store and sometimes on walks. Last September, Theo's vet prescribed Trazadone for him to take prior to bathing and grooming. It has worked out well. Theo travels very well on road trips. He loves carrots, celery, gala apples, canned salmon & tuna. Theo is also crate trained.

Story
Meet Sprocket, a 4-year-old Poodle mix with a big personality and a heart full of potential. Sprocket has had a rough start and comes with a history of reactivity and biting. He’s a scared dog who needs a firm, experienced owner to help him feel secure and establish boundaries. Sprocket has had training sessions and responds well to clear, consistent leadership. Once he knows you’re in charge, he’s much more relaxed and doesn’t push back. However, he does react to new people and should wear a muzzle during initial introductions for safety. Despite his challenges, Sprocket has no health issues and thrives on affection from his trusted person. He enjoys being cuddled and will show his sweet side once he’s built trust. If you’re an experienced dog owner ready to provide a structured, loving environment, Sprocket could be a rewarding companion. He’s looking for someone who can help him overcome his fears and show him the love and stability he deserves.

Story
Meet Mishka!Mishka is a loving, affectionate Standard Poodle looking for an active forever home. She would thrive with someone who enjoys the outdoors, has a secure fenced yard, and can spend time with her. She is highly intelligent, eager to please, and learns quickly with consistent training.Mishka is current on all vaccinations. She gets along well with dogs her size or larger and may enjoy a canine companion. She also has elevated liver enzymes, managed with a once-daily pill. She would benefit from an owner who can continue reinforcing her leash manners and reliable recall. She is not a good fit for dog parks, as she is reactive toward smaller dogs and may bark and lunge at them. She is also alert and vocal, making her an excellent watchdog.Mishka's ideal family will provide structure, exercise, mental stimulation, high-quality nutrition, and lots of love. In return, she'll reward you with loyalty, affection, and companionship.

Story
Meet Moonstone A Cancer Survivor with a Heart Full of Love—Moonstone Is Ready for Her Forever Home ❤️ Breed: Portuguese Water Dog Mix Gender: Female | DOB: August 7, 2023 | Weight/Size: 60 lbs (Large) Good With: Dogs ✔️ | Cats: Unknown | Kids ✔️ Medical: ✔️ Spayed | ✔️ Vaccinated | ✔️ Microchipped | ✔️ Healthy & Adoption-Ready | ️ Cancer Survivor Location: Los Angeles, California Transportation: Ozzie and Friends Rescue coordinates safe transportation for approved adopters throughout the United States. ❤️ Personality, Breed Information & Moonstone's Story Moonstone is more than a beautiful dog—she's a survivor. This incredible girl has already faced one of the biggest challenges of her life: cancer. Moonstone received the care she needed, fought her way through it, and came out on the other side ready for a fresh start. Today, she is healthy, adoption-ready, and waiting for a family who will see the wonderful dog beyond her medical history. Moonstone's past is part of her story, but it doesn't define her. What defines her is the life she has ahead of her. At three years old, Moonstone is at a wonderful age. She's past the earliest puppy stage but still young enough to enjoy plenty of walks, playtime, adventures, and years of companionship with her future family. She deserves the chance to experience all the ordinary things that make a dog's life extraordinary—a favorite spot on the couch, walks with her person, toys scattered around the house, and the security of knowing she finally belongs. As a Portuguese Water Dog Mix, Moonstone may have many of the qualities associated with this intelligent, energetic, and people-oriented breed. Portuguese Water Dogs were developed as working dogs and are known for being bright, athletic, trainable, and deeply connected to their families. They generally thrive when given opportunities for both physical exercise and mental stimulation. Moonstone would thrive in a home that provides: Plenty of love and companionship Daily walks and regular exercise Positive reinforcement training Interactive toys and mental enrichment A consistent daily routine Continued socialization Regular grooming and coat maintenance A safe indoor home where she's treated as family Regular veterinary care and appropriate follow-up given her medical history A lifelong commitment through every stage of her life Moonstone fought hard for her second chance. Now she needs someone to make that second chance count. Training, Adjustment & What to Expect Like every rescue dog, Moonstone will need time to adjust to a new family, environment, and routine. Even confident dogs can feel uncertain during the first few days in an unfamiliar home. Please remember the 3-3-3 Rule: 3 Days to decompress and begin feeling safe 3 Weeks to understand her new household routine 3 Months to settle in, build trust, and truly feel at home Her new family should be prepared to continue working on any household manners, leash skills, boundaries, or other training she may need. Rescue environments are very different from permanent homes, so patience and positive reinforcement are important during the transition. As an intelligent and active dog, Moonstone will benefit from a combination of physical exercise and activities that challenge her mind. Training sessions, interactive toys, games, and new experiences can all help keep her engaged and happy. Owner Responsibilities & Veterinary Care Because Moonstone is a cancer survivor, her future family should understand the importance of maintaining a relationship with a veterinarian and sharing her complete medical history with them. Her ongoing care should include: Regular veterinary wellness examinations Any cancer-related monitoring or follow-up recommended by her veterinarian Routine vaccinations as recommended Flea, tick, heartworm, and parasite prevention Routine dental care Regular brushing and professional grooming as needed A nutritious diet and healthy weight management Daily physical exercise appropriate for her health Mental stimulation and enrichment Continued positive reinforcement training Prompt veterinary attention if any health concerns arise A safe, comfortable indoor home Moonstone is currently healthy and adoption-ready, but responsible adopters should understand that continued veterinary monitoring is particularly important for a dog with a significant previous medical condition. Adoption Information If you are interested in adopting Moonstone, please complete an adoption application at: https://www.ozzieandfriendsrescue.org/adoptions Thank you for considering adoption through Ozzie and Friends Rescue, a Los Angeles-based nonprofit dedicated to giving deserving dogs another chance at safe, loving, permanent homes. Although we are based in Los Angeles, California, we proudly coordinate safe and reliable transportation for approved adopters throughout the United States. Moonstone fought cancer and came out the other side with an entire life still waiting for her. She doesn't need anyone to feel sorry for her—she needs someone ready to love her, make memories with her, and give this survivor the beautiful future she fought so hard to have. ️❤️August 20, 2026, 2:59 pm

Meet Charlie Nine Years Young and Still Ready for Adventure—Charlie Is Looking for His Forever Home ❤️ Breed: Poodle Mix Gender: Male | Age: 8/12/2017 | Weight/Size: 12 lbs (Small) Good With: Dogs ✔️ | Cats unknown | Kids ✔️ | Very Friendly with Everyone Medical: Vaccination Status: Not Provided | Neuter Status: Not Provided | Microchip Status: Not Provided Special Home Requirement: Charlie needs a home with a secure yard Location: Los Angeles, California Transportation: Ozzie and Friends Rescue provides safe transportation to approved adopters throughout the United States. ❤️ Personality, Breed Information & Charlie's Story Charlie may be nine years old, but don't tell him he's supposed to be a senior! This happy little guy is active, outgoing, and full of life, with plenty of adventures still ahead of him. Charlie came to rescue after being surrendered by his previous owner. After spending years knowing the comfort of a home, suddenly having his life change was understandably a major transition. Through no fault of his own, Charlie now finds himself searching for a new family at a time in his life when he deserves stability more than ever. Fortunately, Charlie hasn't let this change his wonderful outlook on life. He is an exceptionally friendly, social, and affectionate dog who enjoys meeting just about everyone. Charlie loves attention and companionship and is happiest when he's included in whatever his people are doing. He has the confidence of a mature dog but still has an energetic, playful side that keeps life interesting. Charlie especially enjoys being outside, exploring, playing, and having room to move around. A secure yard is important for Charlie's future home, giving this active little guy a safe place to enjoy the outdoors in addition to his regular walks and family activities. At the end of an active day, Charlie is just as happy settling down with his people and enjoying some affection. He offers a wonderful balance for someone who wants a smaller dog but isn't necessarily looking for a couch potato. As a Poodle Mix, Charlie is intelligent, people-oriented, and eager to interact with his family. Poodles are known for being exceptionally smart and trainable dogs that enjoy both physical activity and mental stimulation. Even as an older adult, Charlie will benefit from opportunities to explore, learn, and stay engaged. Charlie would thrive with a family that can provide: A securely fenced yard Daily walks and regular outdoor time Plenty of companionship and affection Interactive toys and mental enrichment Positive reinforcement training A predictable daily routine Regular grooming and coat maintenance A safe indoor home where he's part of the family A lifelong commitment through his senior years Charlie has already lost one home. What he needs now isn't a temporary place to stay—he needs a family ready to make sure his next home is truly forever. Training, Adjustment & What to Expect Charlie has the advantage of being a mature adult dog, but moving into a new home is still a significant adjustment. Even dogs who have previously lived with families need time to understand their new surroundings, routines, and expectations. Please remember the 3-3-3 Rule: 3 Days to decompress and begin feeling safe 3 Weeks to understand his new household routine 3 Months to fully settle in and feel that he's truly home At nine years old, Charlie is still active and should continue receiving regular physical and mental stimulation. A yard will give him a wonderful place to explore and enjoy himself, but it shouldn't replace walks and activities with his family. Charlie will benefit from: Positive reinforcement training Daily walks and outdoor exploration Consistent household routines Interactive toys and enrichment Plenty of family interaction Patience as he adjusts to his new home With stability and affection, Charlie should have no trouble showing his new family just how much love this little guy still has to give. Owner Responsibilities & Veterinary Care At nine years old, Charlie is entering his senior years, making consistent preventative veterinary care especially important. His adopter should be prepared to provide: Regular veterinary wellness examinations Senior bloodwork and health screenings as recommended by his veterinarian Routine vaccinations Flea, tick, heartworm, and parasite prevention Routine dental examinations and dental care A nutritious diet appropriate for his age and activity level Daily exercise to help maintain mobility and a healthy weight Regular professional grooming and at-home coat maintenance Mental stimulation and enrichment Veterinary care whenever illness or injury occurs A safe, comfortable indoor home Poodle mixes require regular grooming to prevent uncomfortable matting. His future family should be prepared for brushing at home and professional grooming approximately every 6–8 weeks, depending on his coat. Adoption Information If you are interested in adopting Charlie, please complete an adoption application at: https://www.ozzieandfriendsrescue.org/adoptions Thank you for considering adoption through Ozzie and Friends Rescue, a Los Angeles-based nonprofit dedicated to giving deserving dogs a second chance at loving homes. Every application is carefully reviewed to help ensure the best possible match between each dog and their future family. Although we are based in Los Angeles, California, we proudly coordinate safe and reliable transportation for approved adopters throughout the United States. Charlie isn't looking to slow down—he's looking for someone to enjoy life with. After losing the home he knew, this friendly little guy deserves to spend his next chapter exploring his own yard, going on adventures, and coming home every night knowing that this time, he's home for good. ❤️August 20, 2026, 2:59 pm
