Story
River is a social girl with a playful personality and so much love to give! She enjoys playing with other dogs, chasing toys, and romping around the yard. Once she’s gotten her wiggles out, she’s ready to soak up attention from her people, leaning in for pets and curling up for cuddles.
Like many young dogs, River is still learning her house manners and basic obedience, but she's making great progress. She's doing well working on potty training and crate training, walks well on a leash, and is a smart girl who will benefit from consistency and positive reinforcement as she continues learning the ropes.
River would thrive with an active family or individual that can provide plenty of playtime, adventures, love, and guidance. If you're looking for a fun, affectionate companion who will keep you smiling and happily snuggle up at the end of the day, River is ready to steal your heart!
River is a 1-year-old Doodle mix rescued from a high-intake shelter. This dog's adoption fee is $1000 and includes up-to-date vaccinations, microchip, 4DX testing, and spay. River is also tested with other dogs, children, and kennel trained. She is working on house training in foster care and is not tested with cats. We would love for you to meet this dog and see if she might be a good fit for your home.
The first step to adoption is completing an adoption application on our website at www.bounceanimalrescue.org. Pending approval, your application is valid for 1 year, and you will be eligible to request a hold on an individual animal for the Saturday adoption event. The hold does not require that you take the animal home, but ensures you get to meet and make an adoption decision prior to other applicants. Also pending approval, you will be able to acquire foster home contact information, so you inquire on personalities of specific animals.
We do offer midweek private adoption appointments for approved applicants pending staff, foster home, and vetting schedules. Because we are 100% foster-based, private adoption appointments are only offered for individual animals. (If interested in viewing multiple animals at one time, we encourage you to attend our adoption events!)
Please note, adoption applications are processed within 1–2 business days. Adoption applications cannot be processed onsite at adoption events.
Our adoption events take place every Saturday from 10am-Noon at Pet Supplies Plus (Front Range Village, 2912 Council Tree Ave #100, Fort Collins, 80525).
