Story
Meet Sprocket, a 4-year-old Poodle mix with a big personality and a heart full of potential. Sprocket has had a rough start and comes with a history of reactivity and biting. He’s a scared dog who needs a firm, experienced owner to help him feel secure and establish boundaries. Sprocket has had training sessions and responds well to clear, consistent leadership. Once he knows you’re in charge, he’s much more relaxed and doesn’t push back. However, he does react to new people and should wear a muzzle during initial introductions for safety. Despite his challenges, Sprocket has no health issues and thrives on affection from his trusted person. He enjoys being cuddled and will show his sweet side once he’s built trust. If you’re an experienced dog owner ready to provide a structured, loving environment, Sprocket could be a rewarding companion. He’s looking for someone who can help him overcome his fears and show him the love and stability he deserves.

Story
Meet Kona - Your Giant, Goofy, Loveable Cloud! Kona is a big Aussiedoodle with an even bigger personality. This fluffy superstar is equal parts silly, sweet, and full of life. He has that classic doodle bounce, so expect some enthusiastic hops when he is excited. His energy is contagious, and his goofy antics will have you laughing every day. He adores his people with his whole giant heart, but he is still working on feeling calm around other dogs. He can be reactive on leash, so he will thrive in a home that can offer structure, patience, and positive training as he continues to learn. He would much rather focus on you anyway. Your cuddles, your treats, and your attention are his favorite things in the world. Despite his size, he is a total softie who loves being close, making you smile, and showing off his goofy charm. If you want a loyal companion who brings joy, laughter, and lots of fluff into your life, Kona might be your perfect match. Rescue Notes:Kona will thrive with an adopter who can continue his training and help him build confidence on leash, especially around other dogs. He gets mouthy when he is excited, so ongoing guidance and structure will help him channel that enthusiasm in positive ways. He would love a home with a fenced yard where he can play, explore, and burn off his happy energy. Apply online at www.lolasrescue.com  ##2587576##

Story
They have a large pen with the crate in it. I keep the door to the crate open. He will go into the pen when I tell him it’s time for bed. The pen is left open when I am home and he can go out my doggie door. I take them out several times a day but they can come and go all day long when I am home. I take them outside every morning before I feed them. I take them out in the evening before bed. I keep water in the pen. I also put a tarp and paper down. Very good about not whining in the pen. Will whine in the crate when the door is closed. He will have accidents in the house but he now uses the potty pad. Typical puppy all in all, a very sweet boy. Very shy and has started to warm up to me.  ##2567502##

Story
Canelo is approximately 8 years old but exhibits youthful behavior, including increased energy and attention-seeking tendencies.  Being neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccinations are positive health factors that support his adjustment to a new home.  His history of living in subpar conditions—characterized by frequent indoor urination—highlights the necessity of reintroducing environmental management and potty training. Canelo's need for intimate human contact and comfort in the presence of children is beneficial for family life because of his preference for closeness and attention: Provide Consistent Interaction: Make sure Canelo has lots of positive human interaction by encouraging him to be around family members. Older Kids Preferred: In order to avoid unintentional overwhelm or inappropriate play, older kids who comprehend dog body language and boundaries will be the best fit, given his excitement and desire for close contact. Summary Canelo needs a supportive environment with consistent potty training that includes frequent, scheduled outdoor bathroom breaks, positive reinforcement, and supervision to limit indoor accidents.  His sociable nature and good behavior around children make him a promising companion, especially in a household with older kids who can engage with him attentively.  Proper management at night and gradual expansion of his roaming area can help solidify his housetraining.  With patience and structure, Canelo can successfully adjust and flourish in his new home. Please fill out an application. If you would like more information or to meet him, please call Debbie at (720) 588-6809.  ##2575332##

Story
Couscous is the happiest little boy, he's about 8 months old. He gets very attached and is VERY protective. He does not like men initially but gets used to them fast. He would do best in a single person home. We are currently working on some behavior trainina and he is doing very well. He would be great with an adopter that is willing to work through his behaviors. (Mainly just his protectiveness) He is potty trained/crate trained/dog door trained. He gets along with other animals.  Couscous is neutered and up to date on vaccinations plus dewormed.  Located in Delta CO

Story
Meet Peter! Peter is a small, white Mini Schnauzer mix with a lot of personality packed into his little frame. Rescued from the shelter just in time, Peter has been given a second chance at life, and now we’re looking for his perfect forever home. Peter’s ideal adopter is an experienced dog owner who understands that some dogs need a little extra care and patience. Peter has shown some bite tendencies, and while we’re working with a trainer to understand his triggers, it’s important to be mindful of his boundaries. He doesn’t like being picked up and prefers not to be pet unless he comes to you first. When he feels safe and comfortable, Peter can be snuggly and affectionate—but it’s always on his terms. He is good with other dogs, so a canine companion could be a great fit for him. However, because of his biting history, Peter should not be in a home with children. Peter isn’t just a dog—he’s a work in progress who needs someone willing to invest time, patience, and love into helping him thrive. In the right home, Peter’s personality will shine, and he’ll reward you with loyalty and companionship. If you’re the experienced, patient adopter Peter needs, please fill out an application on our website. Peter is waiting for someone to see the good dog he truly is and help him live his best life. Once he warms up, Peter is incredibly affectionate and loyal. He would do best in a quiet household with adults or older children who understand his need for patience and kindness. If you’re looking for a sweet, devoted companion, Peter is ready to meet you and start a new chapter in his life!
