Story
Rico is a 4 year old rescue standard poodle, from Puerto Rico. He was adopted from the Pet Alliance in Sanford and so far had made a lot of progress on walking on a leash, and potty training. He is very energetic and sweet.Something important about him, he can be very loud and get very anxious when in contact with new people, so patience and experience in correcting this behaviors will is very important.

Story
Hi, I’m Jimmy! I'm an 42-lb Poodle blend and I'm 8 years old. I'm just your average goofy, playful, cuddly, kid-friendly, adventurous guy except that I'm still looking for a family who will love me forever. Favorite Things:  Jimmy is a very playful and affectionate dog who loves being around people, especially kids. He is extremely toy-motivated and can’t get enough of them—his favorites are fetch and tug-of-war!  Training & Manners: Jimmy is a gentleman! He is very food-motivated and eager to please, which has made training easy so far. He already knows basic commands like “sit” and “paw” and will happily perform them for treats. He is housetrained and will let you know when he needs to go out. He loves car rides and is a great passenger. He enjoys going on walks and does well overall but would benefit from a bit more leash practice as he continues to learn. He is also a bit messy when it comes to drinking water from his bowl.  Health & Care: Jimmy is neutered, heartworm negative, up-to-date on vaccinations, and microchipped.  He’ll just need monthly flea and heartworm preventatives, like any dog. He  is a Doodle, so regular grooming is a must for him. His coat needs brushing several times a week to prevent matting, and he’ll need professional grooming about every 6–8 weeks. Luckily, he loves having his hair brushed and being the center of attention!  Other Animals: Jimmy is good with other large dogs. He hasn't been introduced to cats yet, but his foster thinks he'd get along with them if they had a proper introduction. .  Children: Jimmy loves children of all ages!  Ideal Home: Due to his playful energy levels, Jimmy needs a single-family home with a securely fenced yard.  Overall: Jimmy is a happy, loving, and fun companion who will thrive in a home that can continue his training and give him plenty of playtime and attention. Has playful Jimmy jumped into your heart? If so, visit www.PoodleandPoochRescue.org to fill out an adoption or foster application. If it seems like a good match, our team will reach out with more information. His adoption donation is $400. ##2686653##

Story
Hi, I'm Jeff! Five years old, 68 pounds, and every bit of it devoted to my people. I'm a Standard Poodle with an energetic playful streak, a soft spot for kisses, and a toy habit I'm not even a little sorry about. I am currently looking for a foster home or a forever family! If you're looking for a dog who's genuinely excited about you, I'm your guy, and I am ready to be someone's whole heart.  Favorite Things: Jeff is a cheese enthusiast who lives for his favorite humans. He's goofy, clever, and totally tuned into the people around him, always ready to make you laugh. He LOVES toys and is never without one, whether he's proudly carrying it around or using it as an invitation for a play session. Jeff's the kind of dog who wants to be in on everything you're doing, and desperately wants to have his person.  Training & Manners: Jeff is housetrained, crate trained, and is fine in a secured area. He’s been working on his leash skills and polishing basic manners and obedience. He’s a smart, eager learner and his foodmotivation makes training fun. He also rides calmly in the car. His adoption includes free training and access to professional trainers to support his continued progress. Health & Care: Jeff recently completed his last heartworm treatment, the finish line is in sight! For just a few more weeks he'll need calm routines and short leash walks while he wraps up his recovery, but once he gets the all-clear, this boy is ready to stretch his legs. Long walks are absolutely his thing, and he can't wait to explore the world with his person by his side. Jeff is neutered, microchipped, and current on vaccinations, and going forward he'll just need monthly flea and heartworm preventatives like any dog. Regular brushing and professional grooming will keep his gorgeous poodle coat looking and feeling its best. Other Animals: Jeff bonds deeply with his people, so he'll need to be the only pet in the home. He's working on his leash manners around other dogs and would thrive with an adopter who's patient and consistent, a confident handler who can redirect his focus will set him up for success. Children: Jeff does not have experience with children at this time. Ideal Home: Jeff isn't choosy as to the type of forever home he has, but he will need plenty of playtime and exercise once his rest period is up.   He will thrive with a family who appreciates a bright, affectionate poodle and can offer a predictable routine. He may bark when left alone for long stretches, so structure will help him feel secure. Overall: Jeff is a loving, quirky poodle ready to meet his forever family. Could that be you? If so, visit www.PoodleandPoochRescue.org to fill out an adoption or foster application. If it seems like a good match, our team will reach out with more information. His adoption donation is $200. ##2627739##

Story
Hi, I’m Sadie, a sweet little 12-year-old miniature poodle looking for a cozy forever home to spend my golden years in! I may be small at just 8 pounds, but my heart is huge. I absolutely adore being close to my people, giving gentle kisses, and soaking up all the love and attention you’re willing to give.  Favorite Things: Sadie loves lounging in a comfy bed and carrying around her favorite plushy toys. She’s happiest relaxing near her person, soaking up the comfort of companionship with a soft toy nearby. Training & Manners: Sadie is a polite, quiet little lady with wonderful house manners! She does well when home alone and sleeps peacefully in her dog bed at night. She thrives on a consistent potty schedule and does best when given regular bathroom breaks. Sadie walks nicely on a leash and enjoys short, leisurely strolls through the neighborhood. Health & Care: Sadie has a history of seizures, though she has not had one in quite some time. She takes medication twice daily to help manage her condition, with medication costs totaling less than $10 per month. Otherwise, she is a healthy senior girl who is spayed and simply needs her monthly flea and heartworm prevention. As a miniature poodle, Sadie will also require regular brushing and routine grooming appointments to keep her soft coat looking and feeling its best. Other Animals: Sadie does well with calm, laid-back dogs and would enjoy sharing her home with another gentle companion. She is not a fan of loud or overly energetic pups and prefers a peaceful environment. She also gets along well with cats. Children: A home with older, respectful children ages 8 and up would be an excellent fit for Sadie. Ideal Home: Sadie would do well in either a single-family home or an apartment. More than anything, she is searching for a family who will cherish her, spoil her with love, and make her the center of their world — exactly as she deserves. Overall: Sadie is the definition of a gentle soul —sweet, loving, and happiest when she’s close to her person. She may be in her golden years, but she still has so much love to give and deserves a soft landing filled with comfort, kindness, and companionship. If you’re looking for a quiet little shadow to share your days with, Sadie could be the perfect addition to your family.  If you think Sadie is the one for you, visit www.PoodleandPoochRescue.org to submit an adoption application. If it looks like a great match, her foster family will reach out with more information. Her adoption donation is $225.  ##2711848##
