Story
Albus Male PoodleDOB: 3/19/21Adoption Fee: $300Albus is a sweet but shy boy that just needs someone to earn his trust, and take him under their wing to show him that a true loving family is out there and that he deserves to live his best life after being taken out of a horrible situation. This boy will need time to get used to you and someone that understands that what he has been through has made him quite scared of the world around around him. He would enjoy someone very loving, and calm to help him open up. Could you be the person to show this boy care? He is waiting for someone to come change his life! Please read the animal bios completely before requesting additional information as we do our best to answer the most frequently ask questions in these bios. In order to adopt one of our animals an application must be submitted and approved. You can find these applications by going to http://humanemorgan.org/index.php?page=adoption ABOUT ADOPTING FROM THE HSMC: The shelter address is 1170 Fairground Rd. Madison, GA 30650. For more information on any of our pets, please feel free to email us at INFO@HUMANEMORGAN.ORG give us a call at 706-343-9977. All dogs are heartworm negative, current on vaccines/dewormings, and microchipped. All cats are current on vaccines/deworming, and microchipped. We are open 12pm-5pm Sunday-Friday and 10 am-5pm on Saturday, we schedule our last adoption at 4pm everyday to allow our staff enough time to feed and walk dogs. We are an animal shelter and therefore are not able to individually potty train our residents. Many adult dogs do arrive “house broken” however due to animal behavior any change in environment will make an emotional impact on the animals and therefore initiate unwanted behaviors during the acclamation period. Please keep this in mind. Puppies do not have the biological maturity to maintain absolute bladder or bowel control and will require a certain degree of potty training and house breaking. Please consider the time and commitment it takes to provide the necessary building blocks for these special babies, prior to submitting your application. If you have any questions please email us at info@humanemorgan.org and provide name of the animal you are interested in, in the subject line. Thank you, HSMC Staff ADOPTION FEES Adoption Fees may change without notice. Story
PLEASE READ: Barack is poodle, with a Rottweiler spirit. He’s super smart, knows basic commands, knows how to wait to eat. He loves to be active and playtime. He loves kids and other dogs (not cats). I got Barack around COVID, so he wasn’t socialized at an early age. He is used to being with a single woman, so it will take him time to adjust to a man and/or kids. He definitely really needs to be with someone who has the time and patience to train him or hire a professional trainer. He can become owner protective, which he doesn’t do great with strangers. But, I do believe he is still able to be trained on his behavior. If you do not have the time or patience to deal with this behavior, please do not reach out. Serious inquiries only, and I do not any money to rehome him.If you are interested please answer:Do you have the home space and time for a standard poodle? Will he be able to get 2 hrs of exercise a day? Will you be able to provide him training?Do you have a cat?
