Pepper is a 1-year-old poodle mix with a sweet heart and a playful spirit, weighing in at about 45 lbs. This handsome guy is full of love and always ready to make new friends—especially if snacks are involved! Pepper walks nicely on a leash and enjoys getting out and about. He can be a bit alert on walks, but he does great with gentle guidance. He absolutely loves to play and has a fun, goofy side that shines once he’s comfortable. Pepper also enjoys the company of other dogs, though he can be a little possessive of his toys or food, so supervised play and clear boundaries are important. Pepper would do best in a home ready to continue his training, give him plenty of playtime, and keep the treats coming. If you’re looking for a sweet, playful companion with lots of personality, Pepper might just be your perfect match! Pepper currently weighs about 45 lbs., is approximately 1 year old (est. birth date 02/02/2025), and his adoption fee is $510. Pepper has been neutered, is up to date on all vaccinations & preventatives, and is microchipped. She would love a nice bed or couch to cuddle on and spend time with you! She loves attention and likes to get her back scratched! She enjoys sunbathing, but doesn't care to be outside by herself for long periods of time. Meemaw would do better in a more calm environment, that will be easy for everyone to adjust to. If you think she is the couch potato for you, come by and meet her!Please read the animal bios completely before requesting additional information as we do our best to answer the most frequently ask questions in these bios. All dogs are heartworm negative, current on vaccines/dewormings, and microchipped. All cats are FeLv/FIV negative, current on vaccines/dewormings, and microchipped. We are open 10am-5pm Monday-Saturday, we schedule our last adoption at 4pm everyday to allow our staff enough time to feed and walk dogs. We are an animal shelter and therefore are not able to individually potty train our residents. Many adult dogs do arrive “house broken” however due to animal behavior any change in environment will make an emotional impact on the animals and therefore initiate unwanted behaviors during the acclamation period. Please keep this in mind. Puppies do not have the biological maturity to maintain absolute bladder or bowel control and will require a certain degree of potty training and house breaking. Please consider the time and commitment it takes to provide the necessary building blocks for these special babies, prior to submitting your application.
