Romeo is a handsome standard poodle who is a fun, loyal companion and loves being with his person—whether it’s car rides, playing ball, or just hanging out. He’s great with people and other dogs, and his bouncy, goofy play style will keep you laughing. Romeo walks well on a leash and knows SIT and DOWN, but his excitement can lead to some twirling, which can make walks a bit challenging at times. He’ll do best with an experienced owner who can provide clear boundaries and guidance, because all he wants to do is please his person. He’s very gentle when taking treats from your hand and is great about dropping the ball so playtime can continue. He’s also patient and cooperative for grooming and baths, making him easy to care for. If you’re looking for a playful, devoted dog with lots of personality, Romeo could be your perfect match! Romeo currently weighs about 40 lbs. and is approximately 3 years old (est. birth date 02/23/2023). His adoption fee is $510. He has been neutered, is up to date on all vaccinations and preventatives, and is microchipped. Moosh Male DOB: 3/31/2021 Adoption Fee: $300Moosh had a really hard life before coming to the shelter, and needs someone to show him the good life. He needs to be spoiled after what he has been through. This guy will need someone who will earn his trust and will let him know he is safe and cared for. We would love to see this guy be taken into someone's family that knows how to work with dogs that have been through some hard stuff. Once he trusts you, he will make an amazing companion for someone. He will need a lot of time to get used to new people and just needs someone who is willing to go the extra mile for him. All dogs are heartworm negative, current on vaccines/dewormings, and microchipped. All cats are current on vaccines/deworming, and microchipped. We are open 12pm-5pm Sunday-Friday and 10 am-5pm on Saturday, we schedule our last adoption at 4pm everyday to allow our staff enough time to feed and walk dogs. We are an animal shelter and therefore are not able to individually potty train our residents. Many adult dogs do arrive “house broken” however due to animal behavior any change in environment will make an emotional impact on the animals and therefore initiate unwanted behaviors during the acclamation period. Please keep this in mind. Puppies do not have the biological maturity to maintain absolute bladder or bowel control and will require a certain degree of potty training and house breaking. Please consider the time and commitment it takes to provide the necessary building blocks for these special babies, prior to submitting your application. In these cases we may require a higher fee to help recoup the costs of their care while at our rescue.
