Story
Meet Kalahari, a darling auburn colored, green-eyed female! She is a delightfully shy at first, and then her fun-loving nature is on full display! She’s super cuddly and totally adorable! At 2 Months old, she loves exploring outside, sleeping in her comfy crate, and is great using a pee pad! She will be a fantastic and loving family pet to whoever is lucky enough to bring her home! Thank you for your interest in one of our Hero Babies! Before inquiring, we thought it was important to share a few of our policies. Puppies - We do not adopt puppies under 16 weeks to out of state adopters. This is due to our spay/neuter policy, and all dogs must be spayed/neutered before leaving Georgia state lines. We do not adopt siblings to the same household. Your Current Pets - We do require that your current dogs and cats are current on vaccines and spayed/neutered. Adoptions - We do not have a shelter and are a foster-home based organization. We do require that you have an approved adoption application to schedule a meet and greet. You can fill out an adoption application on our website, www.herorescue.org/adopt. Once your application is approved it will be sent to the foster family that is currently caring for the dog. They will be able to provide information on likes, dislikes, personality, etc. They will also schedule a time for you to meet the dog. We do require a home visit prior to adoption. Inquiries - If you would like more information on any dogs in the rescue, please email us at info@herorescue.org.

Story
Pingu is a sweet, playful pup who loves being around his people. He can be a little timid at first, but once he feels comfortable, his fun and affectionate personality shines through. He’s a great walking buddy and does wonderfully on a leash, making him a fun companion for strolls. His favorite things include playtime, relaxing on the couch, and being close to his humans. He’s the kind of dog who enjoys being part of the family and would love a home where he can share lots of love, attention, and cozy time. Pingu is a smart guy who knows what he likes — tasty chicken, fish, and beef snacks are the way to his heart! He’s eager to bond with his people and has lots of love to give that will keep you smiling. He is house trained, good with other dogs, is working on crate training, and does well at bathtime. If you’re looking for a loyal companion who loves fun, affection, and being part of the household, Pingu may be your perfect match! Thank you for your interest in one of our Hero Babies! Zena Female Poodle DOB: 11/6/2016 Adoption Fee: $175Zena in the house! This sweet senior poodle is in search of a loving and comfortable home to live out her days in. She would love an owner who will give her lots of treats, shower her with attention, and take her for sniff walks. This well-mannered sweetheart walks well on leash, is potty trained, will sit for treats, and loves to lay in your lap on the couch. She would probably do well with another smaller to medium sized dog. If you're looking for a gentle yet spunky senior poodle with a whole lot of charm to match her happy-go-lucky personality, then Zena is the one for you! Please read the animal bios completely before requesting additional information as we do our best to answer the most frequently ask questions in these bios. In order to adopt one of our animals an application must be submitted and approved. You can find these applications by going to http://humanemorgan.org/index.php?page=adoption ABOUT ADOPTING FROM THE HSMC: The shelter address is 1170 Fairground Rd. Madison, GA 30650. For more information on any of our pets, please feel free to email us at INFO@HUMANEMORGAN.ORG give us a call at 706-343-9977. We are open 12pm-5pm Sunday-Friday and 10 am-5pm on Saturday, we schedule our last adoption at 4pm everyday to allow our staff enough time to feed and walk dogs. Many adult dogs do arrive “house broken” however due to animal behavior any change in environment will make an emotional impact on the animals and therefore initiate unwanted behaviors during the acclamation period. Please consider the time and commitment it takes to provide the necessary building blocks for these special babies, prior to submitting your application. If you have any questions please email us at info@humanemorgan.org and provide name of the animal you are interested in, in the subject line. Story
Meet Oliver! Oliver is one of several poodle mixes we rescued in early April from a hoarding/backyard breeding situation in rural Georgia. All of these guys were filthy, with horribly infected ears and really had no idea how to relax and just be a dog! After several weeks of TLC and mentoring from some of their new dog friends, they are learning just how amazing being part of a loving family can be. Oliver is about 6-7 years old and under 30 lbs. He's great with other dogs of all sizes and even cats. Oliver was definitely one of the more timid of the group, but it didn't take long for him to really warm up to his foster mom - trying to climb into her lap at any opportunity, when he's not running and playing with his other dog friends that is! He's even proven himself to be a rockstar when out and about meeting strangers - give him a few treats and you will have a best friend for life! Oliver is also great on leash, but might need just a bit of encouragement when exploring new places. He's looking for a forever home with poodle experienced adopters and another confident dog in the home, along with a fenced yard.   Interested in adopting Oliver and showing him all of the amazing things life has to offer? Story
Meet Ava! Ava is a gorgeous poodle mix who came to us from a hoarding/backyard breeding situation in South Georgia, along with 8 other dogs.  Ava is about 5 years old and a sweet, playful girl. She's great with all other dogs and crate trained. Ava hasn't been around cats since we have had her, but several others from the same group are currently fostering with cats and doing great, so it's likely she would too. Ava is looking for an experienced poodle/doodle home with at least one other adult dog and a fenced yard. We also want to mention that while these dogs are poodle/doodle mixes we have no idea how much poodle is actually in them and so we cannot say that they would be allergy friendly.   Interested in adopting? Email adrienne@rescuemega.org or fill out an adoption application on our website- www.rmgdogs.org PLEASE NOTE: Previous first hand breed experience, another dog in the home, and a fenced yard are strict requirements to adopt ##2708851##
