Story
Pepper is a 1-year-old poodle mix with a sweet heart and a playful spirit, weighing in at about 45 lbs. This handsome guy is full of love and always ready to make new friends—especially if snacks are involved! Pepper walks nicely on a leash and enjoys getting out and about. He can be a bit alert on walks, but he does great with gentle guidance. He absolutely loves to play and has a fun, goofy side that shines once he’s comfortable. Pepper also enjoys the company of other dogs, though he can be a little possessive of his toys or food, so supervised play and clear boundaries are important. Pepper would do best in a home ready to continue his training, give him plenty of playtime, and keep the treats coming. If you’re looking for a sweet, playful companion with lots of personality, Pepper might just be your perfect match! Pepper currently weighs about 45 lbs., is approximately 1 year old (est. birth date 02/02/2025), and his adoption fee is $510. Pepper has been neutered, is up to date on all vaccinations & preventatives, and is microchipped. If you want to know more about Pepper, please complete a survey at https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/FKDS/Dog. After submitting a survey, an adoption counselor will contact you within 72 hours to give you more information about the dog you are interested in adopting and to arrange for you to meet. You must be at least 21 years of age to adopt.

Story
Meet Teagan!  Earlier in the year we rescued Tate and Truman, 2 standard poodles, along with a poodle mix puppy from Upson County after they had been surrendered to animal control. A couple of weeks ago, we found out the same family had just surrendered 3 more standard poodles. We really take the “You don’t leave family behind” philosophy seriously, so even though it had been months since we saved the first group and we REALLY don’t have room for more dogs - we knew we had to save these guys! Teller was in the worst shape. He was completely matted and caked in mud. And his poor eyes so infected. It took hours to get him cleaned up. If you’ve ever had to shave down a severely matted dog, you’ll know it’s very similar to sheering a sheep - the hair just comes off in one huge piece. Thankfully, the girls Tiggy and Teagan, had been groomed before at some point and were in much better shape.  Our unconfirmed theory is that Teagan (grey) is mom to Teller (black) and Tiggy (blonde). Teller and Tiggy both appear to be about a year old so we think they are probably littermates. Teagan is about 2-3 years old - still young herself. All three of these amazing poodles are super super sweet; great with dogs of all sizes; and cats!! Sweet Teagan was even trying to play with our special little NeuroSpicy girl Sofia on her first night!  These guys are all looking for tried and true Standard Poodle homes. To know poodles is to love them, but these 3 have all been failed by humans once and we won’t let that happen again - so we really do want homes that know all the good, bad, and ugly that comes with having Standard Poodles as family members. Does that sound like you?? Email adrienne@rescuemega.org or fill out an adoption application on our website- www.rmgdogs.org PLEASE NOTE: Prior first hand ownership experience with Standard Poodles is a strict requirement to adopt. Must live in Metro Atlanta and have at least one other playful dog in the home  ##2579219##

Story
Panda is a great dog. Adaptable and easy. Very spunky and playful. Loves to play so children or other dogs are great. He is a big dog so he’s better with other larger dogs. Panda is very cuddly and sweet. Needs exercise daily and lots of mind stimulation. Panda does have an autoimmune called Pemphigus foliaceus. It causes some hair loss and changes his hair texture than most poodles but it’s easily managed with occasional dose of steroid and auto suppressant.

Story
Meet Ollie — a 42-lb black and white parti poodle with a gentle soul and a heart full of hope. Born 2/28/25, he arrived at Orphan Annie Rescue uncertain and timid, having known very little human contact. Slowly, lovingly, he is emerging from his shell, revealing the playful, curious puppy hiding beneath the fear. Ollie’s personality is tender and sweet. He has no aggression in him, only caution. He is still shy around people but now allows a few trusted humans to pet him. His true confidence comes from being around other dogs - they are his role models, his comfort, and his teachers. The right home for Ollie will include at least one confident, larger dog (preferably more). His family will need patience, gentleness, and an understanding of timid dogs. He will also require a fenced-in yard where he can play and explore safely. Daily life with Ollie includes joyful play with other dogs, running, chasing balls, and occasional roughhousing. He’s leash trained, rides calmly in the car, is crate trained (but happiest snuggled in bed with his foster dad), and is motivated by food — which helps his training journey. Grooming will be part of his routine as a standard poodle. He’s still learning to tolerate baths and grooming tools, but brushing is going great, and he's making steady progress. As he grows, Ollie will likely become a larger standard poodle given his current size. Ollie is a special boy. With guidance from confident canine siblings and a kind, patient family, he will continue to blossom into a loyal and joyful companion. To adopt him, please apply on www.orphanannierescue.org His adoption fee is $400, which includes my shots up-to-date, microchipping, neuter, and deworming. You must live in METRO Atlanta to adopt him.

Story
Not ready to add a 2-legged creature to your home but also think four legs may be too many? Meet Faith, our majestic 3-legged poodle! At 2 years old and around 50lbs, Faith is ready to hop into your life! When Faith came into our care, we immediately noticed that she walked unusually on her back leg. After some x-rays and speaking to multiple vets and specialists, it was determined that amputation would give her the best quality of life for an old break that hadn't been addressed and therefore didn't heal properly. Don't worry, Faith hasn't even noticed that she's missing a leg yet. She hardly used it when she had it anyway. She's still ready to go on walks, run around the yard, explore, and go on car rides. Faith loves to play with other dogs of all sizes but would also be perfectly happy just playing with her humans. She's great at self entertaining with toys and will even throw them for herself. She's not exactly the right match for cats unless your cats just love to play with dogs, as she sees everyone as a friend to play with. She's house trained, crate trained, and leash trained -- basically the total package (just minus a leg). Apply for your new three-legged friend today! To adopt her, please apply on www.orphanannierescue.org Her adoption fee is $400, which includes her shots up-to-date, microchipping, spay, heartworm testing, and the leg amputation.
