Story
** I am currently being housed at our Oglethorpe St location. Come meet me at 71 Oglethorpe St NW, every day from 12pm-7pm. Please arrive no later than 6:30 p.m. to allow ample time to interact with adoptable dogs. Or visit humanerescuealliance.org/how-to-adopt to learn more. Ace is an adorable white and gray boy, who's at an awkward age. A year-old, he's into walks, especially those featuring squirrels. He loves his people, and he wants them around as much as possible. He gets barky when they are gone long, which didn't go over well with his last landlord, which is how he ended up in the shelter. But he now needs a home with folks that can take him for lots of energy burning walks. And to help him build his confidence! He's a great dog and so worth it. Ace will need periodic trips to the doggie beauty salon to keep his fur in top shape. A dog likes to look and feel good of course. Friendly and loving, Ace is ready to meet you, his forever people.

Story
Hi! My name is Hamlin. I am a really sweet boy, and I am just looking for my furever home! I am 3-4 months old (born around 1-7-24), weigh about 9 pounds, and I love dogs, cats and kids. I am doing so well with all of them in my foster home in South Carolina! I am neutered, microchipped, heartworm negative, dewormed, current with all vaccines (as appropriate for my age) and on flea and heartworm prevention. I am all ready to be adopted :) My adoption fee is $650, and covers all of my vetting, and includes transport within the next two weeks, if my new family lives in the northeast USA. ***PLEASE DO NOT FILL OUT AN ADOPTION APPLICATION IF YOU ARE NOT PREPARED TO ADOPT WITHIN THE NEXT TWO WEEKS**** Please visit https://www.apply.daybeforetherainbow.com/ to fill out an adoption application form or email my rescue at taryn@daybeforetherainbow.com! Thanks for checking me out!

Story
REX Standard Poodle Male Black 21 months 60 lbs REX - charming companion, known for his gentle and reserved nature.  While he may be quiet, his tail wags enthusiastically to greet those he loves. Rex thrives on human company and enjoys the presence of multiple individuals, becoming more lively and engaged. Remarkably, he is impeccably trained and has maintained a flawless record of indoor cleanliness, never once having had an accident. He is a well-behaved companion, walking nicely on the leash. Initially shy around other dogs, he's gradually becoming more comfortable and friendly, showing a willingness to interact with them. He has a fondness for chewable toys, which he enjoys chewing on. With patience and love, Rex is sure to blossom into a cherished member of the family. With proper training and time to become more comfortable, he will make an amazing companion. We recently discovered REX has an eye issue and recently had him checked by an Opthamologist. It has been ascertained he has genetic juvenile cataracts and is an excellent candidate fir cataract surgery. As a rescue, we do not have the funding for this, so have decided to try and find an adopter who is prepared to agree to do this for him and in return will not ask for an adoption donation. (Our Vetting expensed have already exceeded $1200) Please Note: *Must have a FENCED-IN yard!* **No children under 10!** If you are interested in adopting REX please go to our website www.somersetcottagepoodlerescue.org to see our adoption process and download the adoption application REX's  adoption donation is $ Nil

RUFUS Standard Poodle Male Black/White Parti 1 year 9 months 40 lbs RUFUS - a gentle, sweet and fun companion Rufus may have had a rough start, but his sweet and gentle nature shines through as he gradually gains confidence in new surroundings. While initially timid, patience and time will allow him to blossom and form a strong bond with his new family. His curious spirit and emerging goofy personality add charm to his character, and he delights in playful romps in the yard and receiving affectionate gestures like head and belly rubs. Rufus is adaptable and gets along well with dogs and cats, displaying good manners and a gentle demeanor. While mostly house-trained, he benefits from having access to the yard for potty breaks, especially if left alone for extended periods.
