Story
MeShell MaBelle is a story of quiet endurance and beautiful transformation. At three years old and 60 pounds, this striking black Standard Poodle embodies everything people love about the breed — intelligence, sensitivity, and a deep emotional awareness of her people. For much of her early life, MeShell tried to be content with limited interaction and long hours alone. While she loved her family, the lack of stimulation and extended crate confinement placed stress on her gentle system, eventually leading to a diagnosis of Addison’s Disease — a condition that is very manageable, especially in a home built on routine, consistency, and love. Everything changed when MeShell entered foster care. Surrounded for the first time by open skies, fresh air, and patient guidance, she began discovering what life could be. On a lively farm filled with dogs of all sizes, curious cats, horses, donkeys, and even pigs, MeShell absorbed new experiences with quiet determination. She learned how to play, how to relax in the presence of others, and how to take joy in simple freedoms — running through tall grass, resting near trusted humans, and curling up beside a canine companion at the end of the day. Today, MeShell is a happy, affectionate, and energetic girl who thrives on companionship and gentle structure. She is deeply people-oriented and does best when she is included, seen, and emotionally connected to her humans. Her care needs are straightforward: a daily pill, a once-monthly injection, and a lifelong promise that she will never again be overlooked. What she gives in return is immeasurable — loyalty, intelligence, and a love that feels steady, intentional, and profoundly sincere. MeShell MaBelle is ready to leave her past behind and step fully into a future where she is cherished as both a companion and a soul. If you feel a pull toward a dog who has known hardship but still offers her whole heart, she may be the one you’ve been waiting for. To learn more about adopting MeShell, please email Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrnewengland@gmail.com and include your location when inquiring. Adoptions are available to Tennessee residents, with regular transport offered to families in the northeastern states. PLEASE NOTE:   Our dogs and cats are fostered in Tennessee and can transport weekly up to the Northeast region.  Request an application and learn more about Critter Cavalry at https://www.crittercavalry.com/adoption.February 4, 2026, 1:44 pm

Story
It is with a sad heart that we have to let our Ollie go. He is a loving loyal dog. However with that said he has become too much for us to handle. One of his dominate traits is he is a protector. Unfortunately we live in a busy neighborhood and his barking has become unmanageable for us. He gets along with other dogs well. He has been raised around a large extended family and has been exposed to big groups as well as children. We feel Ollie would do so well on some property where he could run. He would also be an extremely loyal companion to someone. Thank you for taking the time to read about him. We are praying to find him a wonderful new forever home.

Story
Cal-Poodle male, ~ 1-2 yr. (Dec. 2025) Contact rescuebc@hotmail.com for an application. Cal came to Rescue when his prior owner called for help. They are traveling a lot for work and just felt it was in Cal's best interest to have a home where he wouldn't be alone so much. He's a beauty, with a friendly disposition and a lot of love to give. Cal is about 65-70# and is probably fully grown. Poodles can be very good family dogs due to their intelligence, affectionate nature, and loyalty. Cal is used to living in a family setting with adults. Poodles are highly trainable and generally get along well with children and other pets when properly socialized. He has lived with other dogs, with no problems, although will enjoy getting to see more of the world with a new family. He requires a fair amount of mental and physical exercise, consistent grooming, and will thrive when he is included in family life rather than being left alone for long periods. Cal's adoption fee is $600 to help cover the medical costs of getting ready for adoption. For our application, please email rescuebc@hotmail.com Include your location and a phone number for future communication.

Story
Randy Goldendoodle 2 years old 27 lbs Apricot Meet Randy! Randy is an absolutely adorable pup! He loves to play fetch in the backyard and is highly food motivated. He does well with my senior dog. She even got into his food while he was eating the other day, and he didn't even snap at her. He just moved away and looked at me to fix the problem. Not much of a fan of the vacuum, but loves his bones to chew on and running around the yard. Randy would do great with an active family, probably better with older children. A good-sized yard, or a dog park nearby, would also be advisable. He is highly trainable and would be a great companion for walks or runs. He has lots of love to give, so I hope you will consider adopting him! Please Note: **No children under 10!** If you are interested in adopting RANDY, please go to our website www.somersetcottagepoodlerescue.org to see our adoption process and download the adoption application, or click below on ADOPT ME! RANDY's adoption donation is $995

Story
Cocoa Poodle mix Female Apricot 11 months old 9 lbs Meet Cocoa! Cocoa is a delightful blend of puppy-like joy and mature good manners. She greets her favorite people with bright enthusiasm and a happily wagging tail, always ready to make you feel welcomed and loved. Playful and social, Cocoa enjoys romping with other dogs, but she’s just as capable of entertaining herself when her friends need a break. When the adventures are over, she’s perfectly content curling up beside you on the couch for some quiet companionship. She can be a bit startled by unexpected noises and may respond with a few barks, and she tends to be cautious around new people. With a little patience and reassurance, she learns to settle and feel safe, though she may need gentle redirection from time to time. Cocoa would make a wonderful addition to the right family. Her sweet spirit, playful energy, and curious nature are sure to bring warmth, laughter, and plenty of wagging tails into your home. Please Note: **No children under 10!** If you are interested in adopting COCOA, please go to our website www.somersetcottagepoodlerescue.org to see our adoption process and download the adoption application COCOA's adoption donation is $850
