He tested positive for heartworms, but landed in a place where heartworm treatment is provided! Heartworm is not contagious to people or other pets, but results from mosquito bites. Heartworm, if left untreated, is life threatening, but after treatment, dogs that were heartworm positive should suffer no significant long-term effects so long as they are kept on a monthly heartworm preventative. Heartworm dogs can resume full active and normal lives, but need to be kept calm for 4-6 weeks after treatment. We are happy to discuss where in the treatment process this Lucky Dog is in right now! Chip-English Boodle (Olde English Bulldog/Poodle) male puppies, DOB 2-4-25 (Aug. 2025) Contact rescuebc@hotmail.com for an application A lovely Olde English Bulldog female came to rescue when abandon by the Puppy Mill that had been breeding her and many others. A Dog Trainer took in several of the adults and one female, Cookie, turned out to be pregnant. She delivered the babies on 2-4-25. We had 3 boys and 2 girls. They are doing great, growing, playing with each other and just loving the human attention. They are black and white...a couple have a little brown on their faces. A picture of momma/Cookie is included. We believe the father was a Standard Poodle at the Puppy Mill. The siblings have been adopted, leaving Chip the one waiting for a home yet. We hear from the sisters and brothers in their new homes. They are finishing their Obedience training and have become much loved puppies with their new family. Everyone says how personable and smart they are. This is not a surprise to us...this is what the breeding says they should be. The English Boodle, created by crossing the English Bulldog and the Poodle, is a medium sized designer dog exhibiting a combination of the typical characteristics found in its parent breeds. Being smart like the Poodle and friendly as the English Bulldog, it has become one of the most popular family pets. The English Boodle is an excellent designer breed that combines the best traits of both parent breeds. You'll find these dogs are affectionate and intelligent, inheriting the Bulldog's gentle nature and the Poodle's quick-learning abilities.
