Story
The best part of Polo’s day is any time he’s getting a hug or snuggle.  Polo is a gentle and happy 3-year-old Doodle who favors a Poodle more than anything else.  He’s mostly white, with lots of patches of black and nicely sized a little smaller than most of the Doodles out there.  He’s 42 pounds and has a thick, curly coat, and a tail that never stops wagging.    His demeanor is very gentle. He gets along great with the dogs in his current foster pack, and with the people. He loves playing outside, but is just as happy to be inside with the people and getting cuddles. He will also usually be found lying on the floor, close to wherever the people are. He’s curious about things, and will watch other dogs, birds, etc, but doesn’t make a fuss about it. He’s not a big barker, but will alert if someone/ something is near the door. He’s (mostly?) house-trained….although since he’s not yet neutered, he has done some initial marking inside where he likely picked up on another dog’s smell. But no full-on accidents. At night, he likes to sleep in a fluffy dog bed in the peoples’ room. He usually has free run of his foster house, but is crated when there are no people at home, as we’re still just getting to know him. He doesn’t tend to favor any specific toys so far. He’s great in the car. He sat straight upright in the back seat, like a person, on a recent car trip.    He is up to date on his rabies and is scheduled to be neutered.    Polo is a sweet boy with soulful eyes, and just loves being petted and talked to. He’s been a real joy to have around the house, with his positive attitude and wagging tail.  Contact Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrnewengland@gmal.com if you are interested.  He is in Nashville, Tn and can transport on April 10th to the northeastern region on a certified animal transport van.   PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comApril 8, 2026, 6:01 pm

Tragically, his companion didn’t make it—but Barry was rescued just in the nick of time. And while his past is heartbreaking, this sweet boy is now safe and sound. Barry is ready to trade in highway traffic for belly rubs, cozy couches, and a forever family who will never let him down again. Barry also gets along well with other dogs and would be happy to have a doggy buddy or be your one and only.     Barry’s been through a lot, but you’d never know it from his kind, resilient spirit. All he’s missing now is a family to show him what happily-ever-after really looks like. Ready to give Barry the life he deserves?  Apply today!Your pet will require a refresher in house-training. At about 45 pounds, Fozzie is the perfect “just right” size—big enough for adventures, small enough to still think he might fit in your lap if the mood strikes. He’s a friendly fellow who enjoys people and, as an added bonus, gets along great with other dogs.     When Fozzie Howie was rescued, he was in pretty rough shape and desperately needed a good grooming (be sure to check out his video). Luckily, he has since enjoyed a much-deserved spa day, and underneath all that fur was one very handsome—and very happy—fella. Now that he’s cleaned up and feeling like his fabulous self again, Fozzie Howie is ready to focus on what really matters:  finding a forever home and family who will love him, keep him looking sharp, and give him the safe, happy life he deserves. As she's been in a Prison, we do not know about children or cats yet, but she will be tested when moved to her foster home. If you want to know about the Dalmadoodle... A Dalmadoodle is a cross between a purebred Dalmatian and a purebred Standard Poodle. This pairing is intentional, not accidental, and is designed to balance: The Dalmatian’s loyalty, athleticism, and alert nature The Standard Poodle’s intelligence, trainability, and often low-shedding coat The result is a dog that is smart, people-focused, active, and deeply bonded to its family. Temperament is one of the biggest reasons families are drawn to Dalmadoodles. They are: Affectionate and people-oriented Intelligent and eager to learn Loyal to their family Alert without being aggressive Playful, but capable of settling with proper routine Dalmadoodles tend to form strong bonds with their owners and do best in homes where they are included in daily life. This is not a breed that thrives when left alone for long periods with little interaction. Because of their intelligence, they do especially well with owners who enjoy training, structure, and engagement.
