Story
Hello! My name is Kizzi, and I am a 5-year-old Goldendoodle weighing 50 lbs. I’m an affectionate, loving girl who gets along with everyone. I absolutely adore people, and I love other dogs—big or small. I’m also friendly with cats. I have the sweet nature of a Golden Retriever and the intelligence of a Poodle, making me very smart and eager to please.   As a Goldendoodle, I’m naturally active and energetic. I’m looking for a family who enjoys walks, runs, and hikes—and who will help me master leash walking. I learn quickly and promise to keep up with all your fun family adventures!   My original owner was unable to work with me, but I know I’ll thrive in a forever home with a family that will challenge me and help me learn new things. I am already housebroken and crate-trained, making me an easy addition to your home.   To learn more about Kizzi and the adoption process, please email Vivienne at vivienneajames@gmail.com or text 615-943-7311.  Approved application and adoption fee required.  Kizzi is in Nashville and can be transported north upon adoption.July 18, 2026, 5:22 pm

PLEASE NOTE THAT WE ARE A FOSTER BASED RESCUE IN TX. THIS DOG IS CURRENTLY NOT IN YOUR STATE BUT WILL BE TRANSPORTED ONCE ADOPTED VIA VAN. OUR APP CAN BE FOUND AT haydudeequine.org Hi, I'm Coconut! 🥥 I'm a one-year-old, 45-pound doodle mix with a big heart and an even bigger love for my people. If you're looking for a dog who believes life is better when we're together, I think we should meet! My favorite place in the world? Right next to you...or even better, on your lap! I'm a total cuddle bug, I give amazing hugs, and if you move from one room to another, don't worry—I was planning on going there too. I just really love being with my humans. I'm pretty laid back most of the time, but I also enjoy getting outside, going for walks (I'm a good girl on a leash!), and I've recently discovered how much fun it is to play with other dogs. My buddy Buddy has been teaching me that wrestling and zoomies are pretty awesome, so I'd love a home with another friendly dog to hang out with. I also have a little secret...I'm more athletic than I look! Apparently I've been watching the deer, because I figured out how to jump a fence just like they do. So I'll need a home with a tall, secure fence and people who will keep an eye on me when I'm outside. Let's talk about food...I LOVE it! Don't worry, I'm not food aggressive at all—I just get a little too excited when it's mealtime. I even eat from a puzzle bowl because I think every meal should come with a fun challenge. I think I'd be happy with respectful kids, an active family, and people who want me to be part of their everyday life. I'm not looking to be a backyard dog—I want to be where my family is. I'll happily be your walking buddy, your couch buddy, your errand buddy...basically your everything buddy. One more thing. People sometimes get excited because I'm a doodle mix, but I hope my forever family chooses me because of who I am, not just what I look like. I'm loyal, affectionate, goofy, and ready to love my people with my whole heart. If you're looking for a best friend who gives great hugs, loves adventures, and will never let you feel alone, I think we might just be the perfect match. Love, Coconut 🥥❤️

Story
Lady Lollipop—lovingly called “Lollie”—is as delightful as her name suggests. This beautiful 18-month-old Parti Doodle weighs 50 pounds and brings a perfect blend of playful energy and gentle affection to every moment. Lollie has grown up in a busy, love-filled home with eight children, including four foster kids, and she has proven herself to be incredibly adaptable, patient, and kind. She truly loves children and seems to understand how to match their energy—whether it’s playtime in the yard or settling in for some quiet companionship. This smart girl is already house-trained and eager to show off her skills. She knows how to play fetch and would happily spend hours chasing a ball or toy, especially if it means making her people smile. Lollie thrives on interaction and is always ready for the next adventure. What we have found about Lollie is that she is leash reactive with other dogs when out on walks or hiking trails.  We are not sure why since often she seems to be fine with dogs but recently we have found that she considers small dogs not to her liking and so we feel  that her best life would be lived with a fenced backyard (absolutely must have a home with a fenced yard) and not expected to be a social butterfly out for walks where other dogs might come running up toward her.  Car rides? One of her favorites. Running and playing outside? Even better.  She can be worked with over time but for now we are just saying it is best for her and her family to not expect her to be BFF with other dogs unless her size and introduced carefully.  This is her only marginal trait that needs work and no expectations of her changing right away.  Lollie is truly “as sweet as a lollipop”—affectionate, intelligent, and full of joy. She’s ready to bring her loving spirit into a forever home that will cherish her as much as she will cherish them.  If you are interested, please contact Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrnewengland@gmail.com    PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comJuly 18, 2026, 5:22 pm

Story
Helping a family member who can no longer take care of him. He is around 5 and still needs to be potty trained. Unfortunately, his owner does not have the time or resources this sweet doggy deserves. He is in the cage most of the day and would appreciate someone who will take him out and give him lots of love. I would take this guy home but I have a cat.

Story
IF YOU ARE VIEWING THIS LISTING ON PETFINDER OR ADOPT-A-PET, please visit: www.frecklesfoundation.org to access adoption requirements, more information and pictures. Meet Arlo! Arlo is a sweet young pup who is learning that the world isn’t such a scary place after all. He can be timid in new situations and takes a little time to warm up, but once you’ve earned his trust, you’ll have a loyal friend for life. This handsome boy is very food motivated, which should make training a breeze. He’s already working on crate training and is making great progress. At night, he has proven trustworthy enough to sleep outside the crate and does very well. Arlo loves to keep an eye on his people and will happily follow his foster mom around the house. While Arlo may start out shy, his affectionate side quickly shines through. Once he’s comfortable, he seeks out love and attention and will reward his favorite humans with the sweetest little kisses of appreciation. He especially looks up to his confident Great Dane foster brother and takes comfort in having a canine role model nearby. Arlo has a slight limp in his rear right leg, likely due to a birth defect or an injury sustained when he was very young. Fortunately, it doesn’t slow him down or seem to bother him at all. He does not require any special treatment or ongoing veterinary care for his leg. Arlo’s biggest challenge is building confidence, but considering the rough start he’s had in life, he’s already come so far. With patience, love, and encouragement, there’s no limit to what this wonderful boy can accomplish. Beneath his cautious exterior is a happy, loving dog just waiting for someone to believe in him. Could you be the person who helps Arlo discover just how amazing life can be? This dog is fixed, current on vaccines and preventatives, heartworm negative, and almost 100% crate and potty trained. The adoption fee for this dog is $650. Application for adoption: https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/FRE/Dog If you are viewing on Petfinder/Adoptapet and cannot see photos or would like to apply for this dog please visit our website, www.frecklesfoundation.org. ***Note that puppy adoption fees most often help generate revenue that goes towards older, special needs animals that need our help. Surgeries, heartworm treatment, boarding costs....all things that often result in adoptable dogs and cats being left behind to be euthanized. So, adopting a puppy saves not just one life, but many! Puppies require an adopter who is home a good part of the day to continue their training! They are up-to-date on age appropriate vaccines and preventatives. Freckles Foundation & Animal Rescue cannot guarantee the exact age or breed of any animal in our care. The age and breed listed are based on information we may have been provided, and the appearance of the animal.
