She’s almost fully house-trained and loves being her person’s shadow. Once she trusts you, she wants to be close at all times. She sleeps through the night in a crate (as long as it’s in the bedroom) and settles well. She may bark if crated alone. She’s done well loose in the house so far, but will need regular exercise and structure. She’s smart and active! She loves long walks, dog meet-ups, and zooming around the yard before curling up for a nap. Sky is affectionate and cuddly at about 40 lbs, but also happy relaxing at your feet. She’s learning commands quickly and would likely thrive in training classes. She rides well in the car and has done great on public outings. She gets along with other dogs and takes comfort in them, though slow introductions are best. She could also be happy as an only dog with enough attention. No food aggression, and she handles grooming well. Current Location: Meet Hubert Hubert is a 30 pound red and white miniature poodle mix with a thoughtful nature and a heart that bonds deeply. He is the kind of dog who chooses his people carefully, then loves them fully. Personality Hubert is sensitive, loyal, and smart. He thrives when he feels safe and understood. In public, he meets new people nicely and handles outings with confidence. At home, he may take a little time to warm up to visitors, especially at first, but once he settles, his affectionate side shines. He forms strong attachments and can be a bit protective of his person in the house. With structure and reassurance, he continues to grow more relaxed and secure. Training and Manners Hubert is fully house trained with only rare accidents. He knows basic commands and has made wonderful progress on leash. He recently enjoyed a full hour walk and handled it beautifully. He is eager to learn and responds well to guidance. He does experience some separation anxiety, which simply reflects how closely he bonds. A home where people are around often, or where two adults can share time and attention, would help him feel balanced and secure. Hubert can show mild resource guarding with toys. With respectful management and clear boundaries, this has been manageable and continues to improve. Social Life Hubert does well meeting other dogs at the dog park and has played successfully with a large puppy. He can be selective depending on the other dog’s size and energy, especially in indoor spaces where things feel more personal. With thoughtful introductions and supervision, he can coexist and play nicely. Ideal Home Hubert would thrive in a calmer neighborhood environment, though he has adjusted to city life. A quieter setting would help him relax more easily. He would do best with patient adopters who understand that some dogs need time to decompress and build confidence. Give Hubert a little time, and you will see a devoted, loving companion emerge. He is not a plug and play dog. He is a relationship dog. Once you earn his trust, you gain a loyal friend who will walk beside you with heart and intention.
