  Josie is a beautiful, 3 year-old Standard Poodle just waiting for her very own quiet, peaceful home.  This beautiful soul is spayed, fully vetted, and healthy, weighing in around 50 pounds and built like a sleek Cheetah.  She had a very rough life on a breeder farm  up until July when she was rescued by Critter Cavalry, fostered, and lived with a family for the last few months who loved and supported her.  She is coming back to CC because she is nervous around an elderly family member, however she has met other older folks and been fine with them.  She is a study in dichotomy: equal parts elegant and goofy.  She gets the zoomies and then is content to chill on a comfy dog bed for hours.  Josie is the sweetest, most loving and loyal dog who wants nothing more than to be next to her favorite person.  She had difficulty with being crated at first, but has done well with a more spacious crate and some goodies to keep her occupied.  If given the choice, she still would rather not be crated.  At night, she’s thrilled to have a soft bed next to yours and she sleeps the night away.  If she ever needs medication, she’s happy to snack on some Pill Pouches.  She has made great strides with potty training after never having lived inside a home before.  She walks great on a leash and is happy to go outside.  Josie is also very smart and eager to please once she feels comfortable with you.  She knows tricks such as “sit,” “stay,” “down,” and gives a high-five if you hold your palm out to her.  Once she gets to know you, her motto is “Personal space?  Never heard of it!”  You can win her over with some yummy treats and patience.  She takes treats delicately and will stare at you with her soulful eyes just hoping for another morsel.  Go ahead and just TRY to say no!  Josie is a true sidekick – or partner in crime!   Josie’s ideal home is a quiet one with predictable routines and grass to sniff.  She feels that less is more, so a single person, relaxed couple, or small family with chill teens is ideal as she does not enjoy a lot of hustle and bustle.  Josie would love someone who works from home or is retired so she can be by their side.  She would like some room in the yard to run and prance.  She is slowly coming out of her shell and learning that toys are fun, and overall learning how to “dog.”  She might be a diamond in the “ruff” right now, but her sparkle is showing more and more every day.  Please contact Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrtennessee@gmail.com if you are interested in this gorgeous Poodle.  PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comDecember 1, 2025, 4:49 pm

Chip-English Boodle (Olde English Bulldog/Poodle) male puppies, DOB 2-4-25 (Aug. 2025) Contact rescuebc@hotmail.com for an application A lovely Olde English Bulldog female came to rescue when abandon by the Puppy Mill that had been breeding her and many others. A Dog Trainer took in several of the adults and one female, Cookie, turned out to be pregnant. She delivered the babies on 2-4-25. We had 3 boys and 2 girls. They are doing great, growing, playing with each other and just loving the human attention. They are black and white...a couple have a little brown on their faces. A picture of momma/Cookie is included. We believe the father was a Standard Poodle at the Puppy Mill. The siblings have been adopted, leaving Chip the one waiting for a home yet. We hear from the sisters and brothers in their new homes. They are finishing their Obedience training and have become much loved puppies with their new family. Everyone says how personable and smart they are. This is not a surprise to us...this is what the breeding says they should be. The English Boodle, created by crossing the English Bulldog and the Poodle, is a medium sized designer dog exhibiting a combination of the typical characteristics found in its parent breeds. Being smart like the Poodle and friendly as the English Bulldog, it has become one of the most popular family pets. The English Boodle is an excellent designer breed that combines the best traits of both parent breeds. You'll find these dogs are affectionate and intelligent, inheriting the Bulldog's gentle nature and the Poodle's quick-learning abilities. Highly family oriented, they are good with children and make great pets. Chip is a healthy, friend, robust boy. He's a lovely puppy. He is a nice mix of black and white in color. A testimony from their foster Dad, he says they are exceptionally quick to learn and so willing to please the humans in their life. She loves a good outdoor adventure but loves snuggling up on the couch and watching tv with her person too. She has been doing great with basic training and is very food motivated and LOVES plushies and puzzle toys. She would love to have either a fenced in yard (doesn’t need to be huge) or daily walks to get out her puppy energy in a safe space. She doesn't require a lot of exercise but as a good rule of thumb, a sleepy pup is a happy pup! Fifi is not spayed yet due to veterinary large breed spay guidelines.

Meet Eli!  This handsome guy was rescued along with his daughter, Bella, from the working life of dogs that belonged to a breeder.  To this man all the dogs were simply property.  Eli spent 10 years living life in a crate only being handled when he was 'needed'.  You would never know this sweet boy merely existed.  He shows none of the scars you would expect him to have.  Eli is a very sweet and loving southern gentleman who is slowly learning to live life as a pet.  He is adjusting to fresh air and grass.  Both of which were a truly new experience for him.  He began going outside only because he wanted to stay near his foster mom.  Now he happily walks around the yard and joins Bella and his other foster brothers and sisters for a little sunshine.  Eli is a very smart boy and is already housebroken.  He is also doing a great job walking on a leash.  Eli's favorite place is either in the chair curled up or louging on the back of the chair.  He is able to see everything from that perch.  Eli is ready to find his forever home.  He has plenty of years let to enjoy the good things that life has to offer.  He is looking for a quiet home full of patience and understanding.  He needs a family that will be there for him but allow him to adjust and blossom and his own pace.  You won't be sorry if you add this gentleman to your family.  To be considered for his forever family and to request an application. please contact Vivienne at vivienneajames@gmail.com.  APPROVED APPLICATION AND ADOPTION FEE REQUIRED.  (Eli is currently in Tennessee and can be transported north upon adoption.)  No small children.  October 13, 2025, 5:11 pm

Beautiful Bella and her dad, Eli, were rescued from lives as working dogs for a breeder who treated them as property. Poor Bella had been bred so many times during her eight years of life that her insides were severely swollen and infected. Critter Cavalry arrived just in time to save her from a painful death.  Bella is now happy and healthy as she slowly adjusts to life as a pet. She is a very smart girl who just wants to be near you. While she is not needy, she is keenly aware of where her foster mom is and likes to see her. Bella has learned to use the doggie door and is now housebroken. This process was easy for her because she follows her foster mom everywhere.  The most challenging hurdle Bella has faced so far has been discovering the freedom of the outdoors, along with the sensation of soft grass beneath her feet, which felt strange at first compared to the concrete she was used to. Learning to sleep with her foster mom was extremely easy for her; she thrives on the closeness and warmth. Bella will be a loyal companion for the right family. She needs a quiet, loving home where she feels safe and is treated with patience and understanding. At eight years old, Bella is not old for a poodle—she has a lot of life left to live and much untapped love waiting to be shared with her new family. (Please note: no small children.)
