Chloe-White Standard Poodle DOB 5-2-25 (Sept. 2026) Contact rescuebc@hotmail.com for an application. Chloe came to the Rescue through the Prison Training Program. She was an owner surrender a couple months ago, when her prior owners life 'fell apart'. They could no longer care for her and asked the Trainer at the Prison Program to help her find a home. She's been learning basic obedience at the Prison for a month now. Ready to move into a forever home. She's good with other dogs and like people, although has a preference for women, it seems. She's not a candidate for a home with cats, as she has a high prey drive, which is typical of her breed. She has not lived with small children either. He was abandoned along with his brothers and their dad when a tenant left them behind at a cabin in the woods. Like his brothers, Ruger spent his early life outside with very little experience of the world beyond what he knew. Because of that, adopters should expect Ruger to be a little shy and sensitive at first. Moving into a new home, meeting new people and learning a whole new routine is a big change for a boy who hasn’t always had the chance to experience the world in a safe and secure way. He may need a little time to settle in and figure out that this new life really is his. But once Ruger gets comfortable, you get to see what a truly sweet boy he is. â¤ï¸ He has been living in a house now and is doing wonderfully. He has discovered some of the very best things about being an indoor dog—especially finding a soft place to curl up and getting comfy on the bed! Meet Ginny Lynn — a sweet little girl who is still learning that being someone’s dog is a pretty wonderful thing. â¤ï¸ Ginny Lynn is a 45 pound, one-year-old Poodle mix who, along with her 2 brothers, was abandoned when a tenant left them and her grey Poodle dad, behind at a cabin in the woods. They were actually all 4 left in crates and had to wait to be discovered and rescued many days later. They had known both indoor and outdoor life before that, but suddenly being left behind like that was a pretty confusing and scary experience for these pups. So, it’s no surprise that Ginny can be a little sensitive when everything around her is new. She may not be the one who marches through the door on day one like she owns the place. She’s more of a “let me look around, figure this out and make sure everything is okay” kind of girl. And honestly, once she decides everything really is okay, she is pretty amazing and sweet. She has been living in a house now and is doing well. She is discovering the joys of being comfortable, having a soft place to curl up and getting to spend his days around people. She’s learning that a house isn’t something to be unsure of—it’s where the good stuff happens. Ginny Lynn is smart, loving and eager to learn. She just needs someone who understands that confidence doesn't always happen overnight. Give her a little patience, a predictable routine and some kindness, and you’ll get to watch this sweet girl come out of her shell. Presley, named after Pricilla Presley, is a 14 week old labradoodle who is full of love, life, and that wonderful puppy energy. Her personality seems to bring out the best of both breeds - playful, affectionate, intelligent, and eager to be part of your life. She loves to play tug-of-war, chase and retrieve a ball, and pounce on her squeaky toys. When playtime is over, Presley is just as happy cuddling in your arms and falling asleep in your lap. She has a wonderfully affectionate nature and loves being close to her people. One of the things that makes Presley especially unique is how quiet she is. She settles beautifully and doesn't need to be constantly entertained. Presley does extremely well in her crate and is making progress with her housebreaking. She is learning her name and the word "no", and she already has an adorable response to a simple signal: purse your lips, make a 'kiss' sound, and she comes running - literally! She is good with other dogs and is learning how to be a happy, well-mannered member of the family.
