Meet Magnificent Maleena! This super sweet and very active girl is learning all the good things that life has to offer. She knew her life was turning around the moment she arrived at her foster home. This poor little girl spent most of the months of her short life living in a crate in the garage with very little food, water, or attention. She is small for a standard poodle but too big to be a miniature. Her sad life caused her to weigh only 20 lbs when she was rescued. You could count every rib and see most of her bones. The vet says she should be about 40 lbs and is now well on her way to her ideal weight. Maleena loves people. As soon as she knows you are nice she is your buddy. She is also great with other dogs and ok with cats. Maleena's favorite thing to do is to RUN!!! She absolutely loves the fenced in field at her foster home and the other dogs that run out there with her. We think that she would also love structured exercies and that she would be a great companion for an active family who enjoy walking, hiking or running. She would also do better in a home with older children or an all adult home. Maleena is making great progress with her leash manners and loves to ride in the car. She is also housebroken to a doggie door so she might need a little help if you do not have one. Maleena will make a great companion for the right family.
