Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Meet Tootsie – the gentle goldendoodle with a heart wrapped in mystery and a soul that’s just beginning to shine. With her soft, curly coat and expressive eyes, Tootsie looks like she stepped straight out of a storybook. But her tale isn’t all fairytales and sunshine—it’s one of quiet resilience and learning to trust again. You see, Tootsie didn’t come from a place where humans were kind or love came easy. She’s had to navigate her way through fear and uncertainty, slowly opening her heart one tiny step at a time. Tootsie’s not the dog who’s going to run up and smother you with kisses. In fact, she’d prefer to stay on the sidelines, observing the world with cautious curiosity. Her happy place? Right alongside her canine companions. Give her a few playful pups and a safe yard to roam, and you’ll witness her sparkle come to life—tail wagging, eyes gleaming, and a pep in her step you might’ve never imagined from this once-shy girl. She’s what we lovingly call a “dog’s dog.” She thrives in a pack and takes her social cues from her four-legged friends. If you have a confident, friendly dog at home, Tootsie will quietly attach herself and follow their lead—it’s how she’s learning that people might not be so scary after all. Tootsie will need: A securely fenced yard (4 feet or taller)—she’s quick on her feet and still learning the ropes of the big, wide world. A calm, consistent environment where there aren’t too many surprises. She’s not built for chaos or noise; she’s built for peace. A doggie friend (or two) to be her guide, playmate, and emotional support. A cat-free home—Tootsie has a strong prey drive, and little critters just seem too tempting. And most importantly, a patient and experienced adopter who understands that some dogs don’t fit the “cuddly lap dog” mold—and that’s okay. She may never be the dog who comes when you call or begs for belly rubs, but in her quiet presence, there’s a profound kind of beauty. With time, trust, and the right environment, Tootsie will continue to bloom. And for the special family that sees her for who she truly is—gentle, loyal, and full of untapped potential—she’ll be an unforgettable gift. Tootsie’s not for everyone. But if you're someone who finds joy in the quiet wins and believes every soul deserves a chance to heal, then Tootsie just might be your once-in-a-lifetime dog.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.Interested in adopting this lovable animal? Story
Evangeline and her two sisters were surrendered to a shelter in Missouri after spending their early days living alone on a farm with little to no human interaction. Their mom is a terrier mix and their dad was a poodle- which makes them... Toodles?! Evangeline is a timid girl who will need time, patience, and love to build her confidence. She would do best in a home with another friendly dog to help show her the ropes and teach her that the world isn’t so scary. She’s still working on her potty training and will need continued support as she adjusts to home life. At 1.5 years old, Evangeline is the confident, wavy-coated leader of her litter. With long, loose curls that bounce as she plays, she turns heads and wins hearts wherever she goes. But Roxy’s beauty is matched by brains—she’s incredibly intelligent and picks up on cues with ease. She’s playful like her sisters, but she’s also ready for more: more learning, more bonding, more adventure. ✨ Smart and intuitive 🎾 Loves outdoor play and indoor snuggles 🧠 Thrives with regular, attentive training 💛 Craves connection and companionship 💃 Rocking those signature curls like royalty Evangeline is ready to blossom with someone who sees her potential and gives her the time, attention, and love she deserves. She’ll shine with a person who enjoys outings, playtime, and cozy evenings curled up together. If you’re ready to help a shy but sweet pup learn what it means to be part of a family, please consider adopting Evangeline ❤️ Please apply at www.campcompanion.org Adoption fee is $350 plus tax

Story
Bentley is a beautiful black goldendoodle who adores people and loves being near humans. He is 70 pounds of soft, sweet fluff and a happy, affectionate guy. Although he has only been in his foster home a few days, it’s clear he is smart, potty trained, eats well, and has good house manners. Bentley currently resource guards his food from other dogs, so he would do best in a home that understands and respects his boundaries. He walks on a leash but is strong and would benefit from calm walking practice. Bentley was hit by a car in the summer of 2023 and injured his back right leg. He had to have FHO (Femoral Head Osteotomy) surgery where they removed the head of the femur bone on June 27 2023. It becomes sensitive in the cold and will hold it up occasionally, otherwise you wouldn't know. He gives clear signals to dogs when he needs space. He is looking for a home with no kids and has been the only dog, though he could do well with another calm, respectful dog after a slow introduction. He has also done fine with brief interactions with his foster’s cat. His coat is soft, clean, and healthy, and he genuinely enjoys affection, exercise, and being part of a home that understands him. Bentley is truly a keeper. Bentley would love a doodle lover who understands their needs. Adoption fee is $350+tax, please apply at www.campcompanion.org.

Story
Meet Simba! ***Simba is bonded to Wolfy and they need to go home together***Simba is a 4-year-old, Standard Poodle mix who is well over 100 pounds, and he’s as big in personality as he is in size! Simba is playful, friendly, and full of energy. He loves playing ball and enjoys a good game of `chase me.` Simba gets along with other dogs but prefers the company of his brother over new-comers. He’ll also need regular grooming to keep his luxurious coat looking its best. This fun-loving guy is not a fan of cats, so a cat-free home is a must. If you’re ready for a giant, affectionate companion with lots of personality, Simba could be the dog for you!We know it is a lot to ask to adopt two extra large dogs, but we are hoping a family will be willing to open their home and hearts to these big boys! Adoption fee for the pair is $300 + $30 microchip fee (each) + tax
