Story
Penny is a 1.5 yr old Boxer/Poodle mix. She came to me from unfit living conditions where she was chained to a tree stump the majority of her life. Despite that, she is a happy and sweet pup. A fenced yard would be ideal as she has little recall currently. Loves dog parks but picks when she is ready to leave. She jumps when she is excited, but she is redirected easily and just needs more training as she has only been with me for a week and the prior owners did not teach her anything. She knows sit and shake, shows no aggression towards any of the dogs she has met. Unknown around cats and small dogs. She has met kids 5 and up and has done just fine. Has had no accidents inside and crates at night. She really just needs somebody to give her a shot at becoming a dog again. If you have the time and patience to help her have a great life. Please reach out. Rehoming fee is negotiable. As long as she's going to a great family. Located in Lakevlle, MN.

Story
This 7-year-old, 13 pound Maltese Poodle mix is a little peanut with a big personality! With his curly coat and love of attention, Auger brings charm and playfulness to any home. He thrives on being around his people and is happiest when he’s the center of attention.Auger is quick to make himself at home! While he's a little shy at first, he adjusts quickly to new environments and loves to be part of the action. Auger’s favorite activities include playing fetch, going for walks, and taking cozy naps on the couch. He also loves being dressed up in sweaters, looking absolutely adorable while doing so. Auger will do best in homes with a fenced yard for some outdoor fun and to burn off his bursts of energy, but regular walks or a long leash in the yard would be fine as well. He enjoys a good walk but doesn’t need a long distance, so he's happy to relax with a good nap on the couch shortly after. When making friends, he's had great experiences with kids and other dogs! Auger loves meeting other dogs and eagerly says hello to every pup he encounters. While he hasn’t been tested with cats, his foster family has no concerns so far so a supervised introduction could go a long way to make him comfortable. While Auger is house-trained, he may need a little patience from his future family to help him along. He recently lost his previous owner, and his behavior has changed a little since then. He got a new habit of marking indoors, which may improve now that he’s been neutered. He gets a little anxious when left alone and does not like being confined, so he has not made progress on crate training. His foster family believes that having another confident dog in the home, leaving the TV on, and using calming supplements have helped him manage his anxiety. Auger would be a lovely addition to any home, but because of his instinct to bark when alone, he will not be a match for homes with shared walls (apartments/condos).Auger is the cutest little fella who is easy to love, making him a wonderful companion for a patient and understanding family. If you’re looking for a playful, affectionate pup who will keep you smiling with his antics and cuddles, Auger is ready to meet you!If you are interested in this dog, fill out an application at this link to get the ball rolling - https://pethavenmn.org/adopt/adoptable-dogs/dog-adoption-application/The adoption fee is $450.
