He is cautious around new dogs, so he would need a slow introduction if there are other dogs in the home      When Fozzie Howie was rescued, he was in pretty rough shape and desperately needed a good grooming (be sure to check out his video). Luckily, he has since enjoyed a much-deserved spa day, and underneath all that fur was one very handsome—and very happy—fella. Now that he’s cleaned up and feeling like his fabulous self again, Fozzie Howie is ready to focus on what really matters:  finding a forever home and family who will love him, keep him looking sharp, and give him the safe, happy life he deserves. Could that home be yours?     Apply today—Fozzie Howie is ready to meet you and start his happily-ever-after. Your pet will require a refresher in house-training. K-9 Lifesavers strongly recommends all new adopters enroll their new pet into obedience training. This provides for an easier transition into a new home, ensures the dog remains well socialized, and helps form a bond between the dog and the new family.    Adoption fees cover basic vetting, rabies (if puppy is old enough), distemper/parvo vaccinations, deworming, monthly heartworm prevention while in our care (if old enough), monthly flea/tick prevention while in our care, and transport costs. K-9 Lifesavers will also cover the cost of spay/neuter at our partner vet at 6 months of age or reimburse adopter for up to the amount of our partner vet cost should you choose to spay/neuter at your own vet.Foster Program:    Foster homes provide for the temporary care of a rescue until the dog is placed into a loving, forever home.  For more information on becoming a foster parent, and our Foster Program, visit http://www.k-9lifesavers.org/foster/ or email our Foster Coordinator at foster@k-9lifesavers.orgSPONSOR ME! Help Save Lives!    Make a tax-deductible donation today and help save a life. Story
It is with a sad heart that we have to let our Ollie go. He is a loving loyal dog. However with that said he has become too much for us to handle. One of his dominate traits is he is a protector. Unfortunately we live in a busy neighborhood and his barking has become unmanageable for us. He gets along with other dogs well. He has been raised around a large extended family and has been exposed to big groups as well as children. We feel Ollie would do so well on some property where he could run. He would also be an extremely loyal companion to someone. Thank you for taking the time to read about him. We are praying to find him a wonderful new forever home.

Story
Meet Norman! Norman is a handsome 1-year-old Lab/Doodle mix weighing about 54 pounds, and he's ready to find his forever family! He is neutered, microchipped, and up to date on all vaccines. Norman loves people of all sizes and has a sweet, gentle personality. He can be a little nervous when meeting new people at first and may need a moment to warm up, but once he feels comfortable, he turns into a total love bug who just wants affection and companionship. According to his previous owner, Norman does well with other dogs, though a dog test will be required to ensure a good match. He has also done well with cats, especially with slow and patient introductions. Norman has even been around farm animals and is said to do well with them too! This smart boy is crate trained, house trained, and knows basic commands. He loves toys, playing outside, and splashing around in the water. Whether he's running around the yard or relaxing beside you after a day of fun, Norman is happiest being part of the family. If you're looking for a loyal, playful, and loving companion, Norman may be the perfect fit for you! Interested in adopting? Story
King Bichon/Poodle Male Cream 2 Years old 14lbs Meet King: King is your future best friend! He is a calm, playful companion with a heart full of love. King is a two year old toy poodle with a sweet personality. He absolutely loves being around people and handing out 'paws' (high-fives). He is an excellent listener and is familiar with certain commands such as 'go', 'sit', 'down', etc. He is house-trained (if taken out regularly). One of his favorite things is going on car rides and gazing out of the window in excitement. He also loves going on walks, although he will need a bit of leash training due to pulling while walking. King is crate trained and does very well sleeping in his crate at night. Once awake, he thrives with free-roaming around the home throughout the day and is well-behaved outside of the crate. He gets along great with other dogs and loves playtime with both dogs and humans. He listens very well, is very playful and loves to hop. He loves affection, cuddles, and head-scratches from his humans. His favorite healthy treats are blueberries. His favorite items to play with are squeaky chew toys. King brings upbeat, happy energy and is an absolute joy to have around the house, whether relaxing or having fun. If you are looking for a well-mannered, affectionate, and fun-loving companion, King would be a perfect fit! Please Note: **No children under 10!** If you are interested in adopting KING, please visit our website at www.somersetcottagepoodlerescue.org to learn about our adoption process and download the adoption application KING's adoption donation is $895
