Story
I adopted Cat 2 years ago when he was just a kitten. We love having him but unfortunately, my husband-to-be is allergic to cats. We're moving to San Luis Obispo the 1st week of August. We are looking for a loving home for Cat who is beautiful, loving and funny, gets along with kids and dogs. He is wonderful!

My oldest daughter brought this kitten home and she just does not have the time. He’s still a baby, he’s super sweet and loving extremely cuddly. Just want him to go to a loving home with someone who has the time that’s the only thing for us right now.

Story
Romeo wandered in on a rainy night in November 2024. I fed him a snack and left the door ajar so he could leave when he wanted to. He didn't. Three weeks later I found his owner who came to get him. After three attempts, we gave up and he's been with me since then. He is an outdoor cat, spends a little time with me indoors (he's next to me on the desk). He is punctual about arriving for meals and is usually at the door at 6 am and again at 4:30. I love him. So, WHY am I having to let go of him?? Because he lives to hunt. Here, in downtown Sebastopol, he hunts songbirds, lizards, rats, mice, gophers, possums, and the occasional baby snake. Also, he has always felt that the whole neighborhood was his kingdom and he enters other peoples' homes at will, devours available food, and will harass their pets. He never bothers people. My neighbors have been patient but it's time for him to go. He's a good boy with a big personality.

Story
I got Xavier in November of 2024. My hair stylist told me that her cat had a litter and was wondering if I would be interested in taking one. So I did I said.”why not what’s the worst that happen”.Xavier is a year old almost two born in October 2024. Now 18 I’m unable too be home much and take care of him. School and work and friends take up all of my time. And in my home other live here as well so when he’s loud he disrupts everyone here. And most have work early in the morning. So I hope to find somewhere he will be taken care of and given the attention he deserves. He’s like a Roomate to be frank to most but to a person or two he will like them a lot. Like he does to my mother he loves her a lot. He’s shy but once gets comfortable he acts like he owns the place

Story
I found Otis underneath my car in Oct 2025. He must have been only 6weeks old. He came running from under my car late at night. I took him home, bathed him, feed him, and took him to the vet. I’ve been allergic to cats my entire life, but I couldn’t leave him outside. I took him in and cared for him ever since. But unfortunately my asthma is being affected and I can no longer keep him.

Story
🐾 Meet Birdie — Part Cat, Part Garden Supervisor, Part Expert Hunter 🐾 Birdie is a 5-year-old rescue cat with a big personality and a soft heart. Adopted from a pet adoption pop-up in Napa, she has spent her life around young children, dogs, and even puppies, making her wonderfully adaptable to a busy household. Birdie is the definition of independent. She enjoys her indoor-outdoor lifestyle: spending her nights patrolling the property, hunting moles and gophers like a pro, then coming inside to sleep the day away in a sunny spot. If you’re working in the garden, don’t be surprised if she follows along to supervise your efforts. She has a delightfully bossy demeanor and knows exactly what she wants, especially when food is involved. (Treats are the fastest way to her heart!) Birdie isn’t the type of cat who wants to be carried around, but she tolerates it with good grace. She takes a little time to warm up to new people, but once you’ve earned her trust, she’s incredibly affection

She is chatty and will be happy to tell you all about her day. Katzi is mature, loves being near people, and is looking for a new forever home since her guardian passed away. She was very devoted to her previous guardian of three years. Katzi prefers to make the first move, so she's looking for someone who knows cats and can read cat body language. She came from a quiet, indoor, adult home and would appreciate another calm household to call her own (without other cats). Katzi will be a loving companion once she settles in!  Adoption Center: (415) 506-6225 The Marin Humane Society 171 Bel Marin Keys Blvd., Novato, California 94949 Email: adoptions@marinhumanesociety.orgMarch 11, 2026, 10:00 pm

He'll greet you with meows, headbunts, and plenty of affection when he's ready. And once he's had his fill of chin and cheek scratches, he loves to sit next to his person, or enjoy some solo time. Czar was truly loved in his previous home and enjoyed his daily routine of going outside for a short walk, sunbathing on the porch, and then coming inside to be with his guardian. His guardian also taught him tricks (he's very food motivated!). Although Czar does well with dogs, he would like to be the only feline friend in his new home. If you are cat-experienced and this friendly, confident, independent guy sounds like your match, then please ask us about Czar!  Adoption Center: (415) 506-6225 The Marin Humane Society 171 Bel Marin Keys Blvd., Novato, California 94949 Email: adoptions@marinhumanesociety.orgMay 13, 2026, 12:05 am
