Two of the sweetest cats are waiting for a forever home. These bonded sisters, Casey (white on face) and Holly are special… special needs cats with CH – Cerebellar Hyperplasia. These ‘wobblies’ survived a situation of neglect and persevered with strength and gratitude to be able to give unconditional love and joy. Both are litter box trained, wobble around, eat on their own and love to play. They cannot climb on furniture or counters so there is no scratching. Casey and Holly are lap cats, purr endlessly, love to be pet and given affection and, in return, ask for nothing but love and support.

Annalisa was adopted from Hopalong as a kitten and returned. She was adopted again and six years later left in a box at the Oakland Animal Shelter with a note saying that her person had lost their home and could no longer care for her. None of this was her fault and we are hoping the third time is a charm for this sweet, deserving kitty. She was obviously very well fed and cared for. Her coat is beautiful and soft but she does need to shed some weight. She is currently on a calorie-restricted diet and has already lost almost a pound. She's a very sweet and quiet kitty who will make a lovely TV watching or reading companion. She loves to burrow and sleeps underneath her bed. She's not really hiding, she just likes to feel cozy. Handsome and sweet Muffin Man sadly was brought here when his guardian passed away. We were full at the shelter so we sent him to a new foster home until he was ready to go up for adoption. Here's what his foster family told us about him:Muffin Man is a calm presence. He has a really sweet demeanor and loves being with people. He sits/sleeps all day especially if he's parked next to a person. We quickly realized that he's either very hard of hearing or deaf. He will meow loudly if he can't find you. He doesn't particularly enjoy being held, but he loves petting and head rubs. And he enjoys a variety of toys to play with. Muffin Man recently met our our daughter and her girls. He was comfortable with all of them. He's a relaxed cat that enjoys a comfy bed, a heater near by when cold and the company of people.
