Meet Sable! Adoption Fee $225 Please copy and paste the following URL for the adoption application: https://forms.gle/NCYmet7DbsGM6zr36 Sable is the last kitten in this litter. He's ready to go to his forever homes. This group is in a loving foster home and getting along well with all the resident cats. We prefer to adopt kittens in pairs unless there is another young friendly cat in the home for the new kitten to play with. Having a feline friend can be incredibly beneficial for their social and emotional well-being, providing comfort and support throughout their lives. There is a discount when adopting more than one pet. All pets are microchipped, and the registration fee paid for lifetime. Please copy and paste the following URL for the adoption application: https://forms.gle/NCYmet7DbsGM6zr36 Paws of Dixie Animal Rescue adopts in the New England area. Our adoption fee includes the spay/neuter, up to date shots, Microchip, Alabama Health Certificate, and the transport service to get the new pet to you. The pets are delivered by a licensed transporter. PDAR.info@gmail.com COMPLETED APPLICATIONS TAKE PRECEDENCE OVER INQUIRIES. If you are interested in adopting, the FIRST step is to complete an application. Please be advised that our volunteers are busy rescuing, transporting, and caring for our animals. We will respond to your application as soon as possible. Upon review of your application, the rescue in AL will contact you, so you can ask any specific questions that you may have. NOTE: All Paws of Dixie animals are located in AL foster homes. They will be transported north after adoption. If there is more than one decision maker in the home, all of them should be in agreement. We DO NOT adopt to anyone under the age of 21. Thank you for your understanding.

Story
Joe Kitty Local is in Rhode Island and looking for his furever home! Seven year old orange tabby Joe is looking for a forever family that will shower him with all of the love he deserves. He is a very sweet, affectionate boy who is a little cautious at first but warms up quickly. We think that he would do well in a home with a calm, respectful pup who respects his boundaries. He would also do well with some kitty siblings! Joe will quickly snuggle his way into your heart! All kittens are spayed/neutered, microchipped and up to date on all age appropriate vetting. The adoption donation for our kittens is $250 which is fully refundable should the kitten not be the right fit for you within the first week of adoption. We do not have a cat application form set up, so please fill out our current general application and note the cat/kitten's name in the "interested in" column so we know who you are applying for. Please note, many of these application questions will not pertain to a cat. We are currently trying to revamp our website to accommodate for cats/kittens. Thank you for understanding! www.rhodehomerescue.org/adoption-form/

Story
Despite his name indicating that he is a rock and roll star and his pictures indicating that he is a raccoon, Elvis is actually a two year old male cat. He is FIV positive (see below) and currently living in foster with his friend, Chicago. Elvis and Chicago aren’t bonded, so Elvis can be adopted as a single cat, but if you have space for two, he would appreciate a home for his good pal. Much like making a rock and roll song, making friends with Elvis is as much about the journey as it is about the destination. But give him some time and love, and you’ll have a great hit on hands. For this reason, Elvis should be adopted into a home without young children. His foster parent reports that he is shy and hissy at first (quite the singer, I should say), but given some time, he will accept more love, seek out attention and pets, and become your best friend.

So what do you say? Want to jam with Elvis? Concerning Elvis’s FIV:
Cats with FIV (Feline Immunodeficiency Virus) can live long, healthy lives with good care and don’t usually require much special treatment beyond regular vet visits and a low-stress lifestyle. FIV isn’t contagious to humans, dogs, or other species—and it’s mainly spread to other cats through deep bite wounds, so peaceful kitties can often coexist safely.
