Story
Amy came to me as Rozy from a man who lost their home. She is sweet but very shy. She is not a holding type of cat. It takes a long time for her to trust anyone. She eats only her food. She doesn't like treats or snacks. She eats seniors Science Diet with cranberry drops as a supplement for her bladder. Amy loves to drink from a fresh glass of water on the coffee table, seriously lol. I'm disabled and I just got another diagnosis. I have cat allergies and I've dealt with her for almost 2 years. I can't do it anymore. I personally cannot afford veterinary visits to get her checked out. The person where she came from was not very kind to her.Amy is a one person pet. She would do best with being the only pet.I've loved her but I can't care for her anymore. I'm very sad about this. Trusting someone who is very kind and has patience with an older cat is very difficult. Not everyone will be so kind. I'm hoping and praying someone special will come and love her more than me.

Story
Meet Rosie, a beautiful 8-month-old tabby with a gentle soul and a heart full of love. This young mama was found fending for herself and her kitten, Posie, near a petroleum plant in Bethel. Rosie was just a kitten herself when she had Posie only four months ago, making her story all the more heartbreaking. Despite being so young, she showed incredible devotion and resilience, protecting and raising her baby in an environment no cat should ever endure. Through it all, she remained loving, trusting, and deeply connected to people—a true testament to her sweet nature. Rosie is talkative and affectionate, always ready to greet you with soft chirps and little conversations. She enjoys being near her people and will happily follow you around, keeping you company throughout the day. Whether you’re relaxing or going about your routine, Rosie wants to be part of it. She has a calm, nurturing presence but also a playful, youthful side that shines through. Now that her days of raising a baby are behind her, Rosie is more than ready for a home of her own where she can finally be cared for and cherished the way she deserves. She would do fine as a solo cat soaking up all the attention, or in a home with another kitty. Her easygoing and affectionate personality makes her a purrfect addition to any home. Her adoption fee is $275, and Rosie is vaccinated, FIV/FELV negative, microchipped, and spayed. Good with cats,
Story
Meet Willow, a one-year-old tabby who was rescued from a difficult situation in Waterbury after a Good Samaritan stepped in and saved her and her two kittens. The home was overcrowded and only focused on breeding and selling cats, and Willow spent much of her early life confined with very limited access to proper food, water, or socialization. Despite that rough start, she has shown remarkable resilience. Because of her background, Willow can be a bit timid when meeting new people and may take a little time to feel comfortable in unfamiliar situations. Once she feels safe, her personality truly shines through—she becomes a gentle, affectionate love bug who enjoys attention and quiet companionship. Willow has the softest, silk-like coat and a calm, easygoing nature. She keeps her space tidy and doesn’t create much chaos, preferring a peaceful environment where she can relax and observe the world at her own pace. She would thrive in a quiet, patient home that understands the value of giving a shy cat the time she needs to blossom. Her adoption fee is $225 and Willow is vaccinated, FIV/FELV negative, microchipped, and spayed. If you're interested in this gorgeous girl, please fill out an application at https://form.jotform.com/201805462692153. For questions, email info@happilyfureverafter.org.

Story
Mini is about a year old. She was born after her mother unexpectedly got pregnant, and we kept her with the family since then. Mini is very friendly, playful, and loving. She enjoys spending time playing with toys and loves being around her siblings. As much as we care about her, having multiple pets in the house has become overwhelming, and we’re no longer able to give her the time and attention she deserves. We are hoping to find her a new home where she can have a better living situation, with plenty of love, care, and attention.

Story
SWEET MOMMA DOB 5/1/23 Ms Ethel is a sweet mittened torbie who, although she prefers not to be picked up, will come over to you for petting and snuggling. Ms Ethel is a stately kitty who is independent and can go hours on end without needing humans. She's simply a low-maintenance kind of gal. Ms Ethel was brought into HOPE when an elderly couple found her and her newborn babies in their backyard. Completely soaked and very hungry, the kitties needed immediate help. A foster stepped up and took in the forlorn family. Fast forward months later, and all the kitties have been adopted with only Momma left. Can Ms Ethel bring her sweet, undemanding ways to take the bite out of your being alone? Or bring some quiet companionship after your long, hectic day at the office? If so, arrange to meet her so you can give her some much-appreciated scratches and snuggles. Just because she’s independent of humans doesn’t mean that she doesn't have something to give others. In fact, she has so much love to give – all she needs is YOU! HOPE ID 24-0515-G124 Ms Ethel is currently in the Houston, Texas area but can be transported to this location upon adoption. The $325 adoption fee includes transport, health certificate, spay/neuter, basic vaccines, microchip and registration, testing for FIV/FeLV, negative fecal test, and preventative treatment against fleas and parasites. Story
Meet Salty, a five-month-old tabby who made his way to Connecticut all the way from Barbados, bringing a little bit of island charm with him! His name is inspired by the salty ocean air he came from—and it suits him perfectly. While he may be a bit shy at first, Salty has truly blossomed into such a sweet and loving kitten. Once he feels comfortable, he’ll happily curl up in bed with you, making himself right at home as your snuggly little companion. Salty is also full of playful kitten energy! He enjoys batting around toys, climbing his cat tower, and spending time gazing out the window, taking in the world around him. He gets along wonderfully with other cats and truly thrives with feline companionship. Because of this, Salty must go to a home with another kitty friend. He’ll make a purrfect addition to any home! His adoption fee is $275 and Salty is vaccinated, FIV/FELV negative, microchipped, and neutered.
