Story
Thank you for your interest in adopting Simon and Baxter! This bonded pair of kitty brothers live in a Montevallo Alabama Foster home and will leave us when they are adopted. Transportation is included in every adoption fee. We pay a licensed USDA animal Transporter for every pet that we send to the northeast. We do not own the van service. Pets see a licensed veterinarian the same week of transport for a health exam and interstate health certificate. Fosters FaceTime with the approved Adopter so you can see your pet and learn about them in real time. We have been adopting dogs and cats to families for over 15 years. These kittens were born to what we thought was a feral Mom cat. She was TNR when they were young, then we rescued them and sent them to a foster home with lots of love and experience with kittens. In less than a week, the black kitten, Simon, was purring! It took a little longer for white tabby brother, Baxter, to warm up, but they've done remarkable and are so deserving of a true forever home. They are inside only and have not wanted to leave the comforts of home. They are happy and playful with each other. They love the human teenager in their foster home. He doesn't expect too much and allows them to live life on their terms and just be playful kittens. That's helped grow their bond so we know they can bond again with you. Baxter (white tabby) and Simon are 6 months old now and about 6 pounds each. Both kittens are neutered, Simon is combo test negative, Baxter is "light" FIV positive. Please do your research. We'd be glad to have the conversation with you. FIV cats should live inside, which he does. Both kittens have FVRCP, boosters, rabies, dewormed, microchip, and they receive parasite prevention. They come with medical records. Simon and Baxter eat canned cat food and dry kitten food every day. They have perfect litter box manners. These two kittens could bring a lot of joy to your home. $350 adoption fee includes transportation and a health certificate. Serious adopters should fill out the application online and we will be in touch with you. We prefer a vet reference current or previous to adopt a kitten. Please call your vet to release information on your pets. https://form.jotform.com/232763732515154

Story
Very sweet and affectionate guy who is 3-4 years old. Got him for my 6 year old but he does not seem to like her (not aggressive towards her). I have a bearded dragon that has been very stressed out since kitty moved in so I would love to find a new loving home for him.

Story
Stella is a sweet, gentle soul who is still learning to feel safe in the big world. After a month in foster care, she spends much of her day tucked away in her cat beds in quiet low-light spots, but she’s making slow, steady progress every day. This shy girl comes alive at the sound of a wet food can opening! With patience and time (usually about an hour of calmly sitting in the room and giving her space), she’ll start to venture out on her own terms. Once she feels comfortable, she enjoys gentle pets on the top of her head, and will happily rub against you, though she will let you know quickly if she gets overstimulated. When she’s really relaxed and trusts you, she’ll roll over and ask for attention in the cutest way. Stella would do best in a quiet, adult-only home where she can decompress at her own pace. She loves having high perches to sit on and watch the world through the windows, cozy dark hiding spots for peaceful naps, and playing with fuzzy worm toys or feather wand toys. She’s easily spooked by sudden noises or movements, so a calm environment will help her thrive. She has done well with mature, patient, low-energy cats when introduced properly, and a calm, social “support cat” could actually help her come out of her shell. An adult-only home (or very respectful older kids) would be ideal. With time, patience, and a peaceful home, Stella’s sweet and loving personality is starting to shine through. She’s a quiet, affectionate girl who just needs someone who understands that good things take time. If you’re a patient, cat-savvy person looking for a gentle companion who we can foresee blossoming into a loving lap cat, Stella might be your perfect match! ** Stella is currently in foster care. If you’re interested in adopting, please fill out an adopter profile at www.parl.org/adopt and email foster@parl.org to set up a meet and greet. **

Story
Meet Boston Rob & Cirie 🐾 Part of our special “Survivor 50” group, Boston Rob and Cirie have an incredible story of resilience. They came to us from a home with over 100 cats and have been slowly learning what it means to feel safe and cared for. Now, they’re ready to begin their next chapter—together. These two are a bonded pair and will need to be adopted into the same home. They find comfort in each other and often spend their time side by side, building confidence as a team. While they’ve made great progress since arriving, they’re still on the shy side when it comes to people. They’re looking for a patient, cat-savvy home that will give them the time and space they need to settle in and continue to grow. The shelter environment can be overwhelming, especially for cats who came from a hoarding situation, so transitions may take time. Their future family should be understanding and willing to let them move at their own pace. With consistency, gentle care, and a calm environment, we truly believe Boston Rob and Cirie will blossom into wonderful companions. If you have a quiet home and a big heart for cats who need a little extra time, this duo could be the perfect match for you. Boston Rob and Cirie are part of our special adoption program. For more information or to set up a meet-and-greet, please email hmaclellan@parl.org and fill out an adopter profile on our website.
