Story
Meet Pidgey, an adorable white-and-orange kitten with the sweetest little face you’ll instantly fall in love with. This charming boy is the perfect blend of playful and relaxed—he loves to chase toys, wrestle with his siblings, and then curl up for a cozy nap once he’s all tuckered out. Pidgey is especially close to his sister Espurr and enjoys spending time with her and his mom, making him a wonderfully social and affectionate kitten. Whether he’s playing or snoozing by your side, Pidgey’s gentle nature and loving personality make him a truly special little companion. He’s ready to bring warmth, cuddles, and joy to his forever home! --- The Pre-adoption process allows us to get the adoption process started early, even though vetting isn’t complete. Per the Department of Agriculture rules and regulations, The Kitten Rescue Project is responsible for vetting all of its kittens before adoption is final. At this time the kitten is not fully vetted because he/she is too young. We expect vetting will be completed around May 8th, but could be delayed a couple weeks longer if he/she does not meet the weight requirement by our vet. Once vetted, our kittens are dewormed, vaccinated, spayed or neutered, and microchipped. Our feline adoption fee is $120, which assists in offsetting but does not entirely cover the expenses incurred for the animal's care and completion of essential veterinary care. We do not place cats in homes based on the order of application received. Instead, we prioritize the earliest applications that are the best match for the kitten. We will prioritize applicants within a 2 hour drive of Atlanta, GA to help minimize the kitten's stress during transport. Our adoption process does not happen in a single day. Typically, it can take at least a week for applications to move from submission to adoption. We reserve the right to deny any applicant for any reason. For the application - please visit https://thekittenproject.org/adopt/form-adopter-info?petName=Pidgey

Story
Meet Carmen, a gorgeous dilute tortoiseshell with a soulful personality and a world-class napping habit. She is the ultimate "low-pressure" companion; she loves to follow you from room to room just to be near you, and she’ll happily tuck in next to you for afternoon snuggles once she’s comfortable. She has a hilarious independent streak -she loves chasing ping-pong balls around on her own-and she’s a total sucker for head and butt scratches. Because of a tough start in life,Carmen is a sensitive soul who thrives in a quiet, predictable environment. She can be a bit antsy with loud noises or sudden changes, and when she feels truly overwhelmed, she has occasionally had "bathroom accidents" on laundry or bedding. She hasn't had an issue recently, but she would be happiest with a patient, "tidy-home" owner (no laundry on the floor!) who understands that she just needs a safe space to feel secure. She is a loyal, sweet girl who just needs a calm "retirement" from the stress of the world.

Story
Hi everyone! I’m looking to rehome a sweet but anxious young kitty. She’s about a year old, and I haven’t had her very long, but it’s become clear she would do best in a calmer home.I have two very energetic cats, and it unfortunately stresses her out since she still doesn’t get along with them. She is incredibly loving, sleeps on my chest every night and curls up in my lap whenever I sit down, but she’s very skittish and easily scared by loud noises or busy environments. She would thrive in a quiet home with lots of patience and attention but no dogs. I just want her somewhere she can feel safe and comfortable. Message me if you think you might be a good fit 💛
