Story
Jafar is a very handsome, short hair, tabby 11 months old male cat. He is a very sweet, affectionate, and emotionally attached cat who loves being close to his person. He enjoys cuddling, sleeping near you, and following you around the house. He grew up indoors and has been raised with love since he was only one month old. He is playful, sensitive, and loves attention and companionship. He is not aggressive at all and has a gentle personality. He’s very talkative ! He would thrive in a calm, patient home with someone who understands cats and can give him consistency, affection, and reassurance while he continues adjusting. He has recently been neutered and I truly believe he has so much potential in the right environment. My biggest wish is to find someone who will love him as part of their family and give him the stable, caring home he deserves.

Story
Charlie is a very sweet cat. Great with other animals so long as they don’t chase her. However, recently she has started to pee on things in our house. We have tried her on various medicines. So far we have not had any luck. We are concerned she is simply overwhelmed by a new dog in the house. Or perhaps it is just her getting older. Whatever the case, we simply cannot have her in the house with us unable to keep her from peeing. She is 13. We have had her all 13 years. Again, she is very sweet. Cuddles. Never bitten, attacked or even hissed. Just don’t know what to do with her recent peeing. Need to find her a good home that will treat her with the same love that we have.

Story
Seven years ago, Minji quite literally chose her family. Found as a tiny, vulnerable 2-to-3-month-old kitten in a grocery store parking lot, she approached her rescuer and refused to be left behind. When the local Humane Society turned out to be completely full, her rescuer officially took her in, and she has spent the last seven years as a deeply loved family member. Due to an upcoming relocation overseas, her family now has to make the heartbreaking decision to find her a new permanent home before mid-June. Minji is a gentle, low-maintenance, and beautifully independent soul. She isn't a demanding cat, but she deeply loves her family and prefers to keep close to them, enjoying quiet affection and being a steady, comforting presence in the home. Because she is very shy with strangers, she will hide when new people visit until she feels completely secure. She will thrive best in a calm, predictable household where she can settle in at her own pace. In great health. Spayed. RFIDed.

Story
I'm a little Calico, really, I'm small for my age. I don't have an attitude... that's what people say about kitties like me. I love mealtime, and if I want more, I'll let you know by showering you with head rubs. My brother and I love to play chase and wrestle with each other. Laps are the best, and I'm especially intrigued by anything shiny around your neck. I have sweet purrs and make chirpy sounds on the way to the litter box...silly, I know. I am one of a litter of 4. My brother and I are the only ones left and we'd love to go to our forever home together. He's a fun, happy boy! Chassis is negative for FeLV, neutered, and up to date on her vaccines. She has a microchip that will be transferred to the adopter upon completion of the adoption process. Ready to Adopt? Story
Planned PEThood is seeking adopters who have safe outdoor housing that can provide unsocialized cats with a chance at life. These cats have been spayed or neutered, vaccinated, and ear tipped. There is no adoption fee for our working cats, but we happily accept donations to continue the program’s efforts. If you are interested submit an ’employee request form’ below or call/e-mail with questions. Our Working Cats program is designed to place cats into safe environments where they are valued for their hunting skills. The cats in this program are considered ‘unadoptable’ by local animal control agencies and have been placed in this program as an alternative to euthanasia. The cats may not be suitable for adoption because they are unsocialized and/or did not acclimate to living in close quarters with humans. A working cat is a type of domestic cat that “works” for its upkeep by hunting vermin, such as rodents. They are commonly employed where pest control is needed: in barns, farms, factories, warehouses, stores, churchyards, and private property. One benefit of using a working cat is that they alleviate the need for harmful pesticides in pest control. Through our partnership with Gwinnett County Animal Welfare & Enforcement and other animal control agencies, we have been able to save over 750 unsocialized cats by sending them to working cat environments. Contact us today at 678-541-9370 or barncats@pethoodga.org if you would like more information on this program.
