Story
Tom was a stray found on a college campus when he was just a kitten. My daughter's friend attended the college and asked if we would be interested in taking him. We had just lost our dog and my wife didn't want to leave a kitten alone or put in a shelter so she took him. That was approximately 12 years ago. We have another cat, Kenzie, who was adopted at the same time to provide Tom company. They are approximately the same age. Both have had all their shots, regular check ups and both are declawed on their front paws. Neither has had any serious health problems. Tom is very laid back and not excitable. Kenzie is more skittish but she enjoys attention. They are very close and typically cuddle up with each other when they sleep. We are wanting to place them because my daughter just recently married a man who is seriously allergic to cats. They can't visit us due to his allergy. Also, the man who works with my son who has autism has bad cat allergies.

Story
We found Bob in late October 2025, I brought him in because he was abandoned and it was getting very cold. I was expecting him to stay a few nights and find a rescue for him. But all shelters were full so he has stayed with us. We got him fixed and up to date on vaccines, wormed, and treated for ear mites. Bob is about 11 months old, Since he was a stray we are not sure, going by Vet's estimate We have to rehome Bob because he is special needs and my mother in law is moving in due to serious health issue. She can not be around pets, especially Bob because of his bowel issues, she needs sterile environment Bob is very friendly, playful, loves to come into bed and cuddle up with you. He gets along well with other pets, dogs and cats. Bob has problems controlling his bowels, Vet removed most of his colon, believing Bob suffered from Megacolon, but this did not help is incontinence. Vet has recommended taking Bob to neurologist, with possible nerve issues ( Spina-Bifada)

Story
Orange cats are often described as affectionate, playful and social and Dylan is no different. Dylan is incredibly friendly and lovable. He loves being petted and especially enjoys curling up in his human’s lap or beside her in bed. He has been around dogs, tends to be frightened by younger children, and has not been around other cats. Dylan’s beloved human is currently on hospice, and this sweet boy is in need of a loving forever home where he can feel safe, cherished, and cared for. Dylan is a handsome 5-year-old orange tabby. He is neutered, litter box trained and has been declawed on his front paws. He has received vaccinations in the past and will need his updated shots. Dylan is part of Mercy Hospice’s Pet Peace of Mind program, a compassionate program that recognizes pets as family and helps ensure that patients’ beloved companions find loving, stable homes.

Story
We adopted Romeo from the STL Humane Society in Maryland Heights. He is 14 years old and would be a great cat for a loving home. I believe since he is getting older that perhaps a senior woman that just wants to have a loving, cuddly cat to keep them company would be best. Visitors will always be greeted and escorted back to the door with a nice good bye rub or good petting. Romeo isn't like normal cats that hides away.. He does like visitors and kids.We are moving to California soon to where my kids are. We can't bring Romeo with us as I don't think he would like the 3 day drive there. Think it is best to find another good home to love him. We will give the new owner, our Iam's cat food bag (unopened), automatic cat litterbox, liners, litter, and cat treats to start you out right. We live in South St. Louis County, MO near Hwy 55 and Butler Hill Road. We want a good home for him.Terri

Story
Jill is an extremely sweet young cat. She constantly purs, likes being picked up, and loves being around people. She is a hair under three years old and was adopted from a rescue shelter as a kitten. She is very good with all people and other animals (she may be a bit shy at first when meeting a guest in your home!). Very gentle, has never hissed in her life.

Story
Scrump is as lovable and silly as a cat can be. He loves cuddling on his terms, and adores head scratches. Once he trusts you he’ll let you rub his belly! Scrump's favorite toys are soft, and loves ones attached to strings. He is food motivated and is currently on a diet version to maintain the volume he needs while keeping the calories within his range. I currently feed him on an automatic feeder three times a day and that works well. I have had him since he was a baby, and this July he will be turning 4. Unfortunately, my roommate has a terrible allergy and we’ve tried using medication to combat it, but it doesn’t work. He has lived with another cat and a small dog. He does okay with other cats, but needs time to adjust before he feels comfortable. Scrump is okay with small dogs who give him space, but is very scared of larger dogs.
