Story
Ellie is a very independent 13-year-old and sleeps much of the day, so she is easy. She is precious because she just loves to be brushed for long periods. She will drop down to the ground right in front of you to let you know she would love to be brushed. She climbs onto my wife's lap every morning when my wife reads. In the winter, she loves to snuggle closer to share heat with us, and will often sleep on my wife's legs when napping. Ellie is struggling a bit with digestive issues, which is why our vet put her on a special no-chicken diet, which is helping a bit, but she still throws up maybe 1 time per week or so. She has never been outside, and is very content inside — preferably sleeping in a sunny window for much of the day.

Story
Penny is a beautiful young brown tabby with striking tiger-like markings, bright golden eyes, and a curious spirit that's always ready for the next adventure. Whether she's reaching out to bat at a toy, making her way over to investigate something new, or looking directly at you with those expressive eyes, Penny seems eager to be part of whatever is happening around her. She brings an energetic curiosity to each day and approaches the world with confidence and enthusiasm. Like every young kitten, Penny is still growing and discovering all the wonderful things life has to offer. She'll thrive in a home where she has plenty of opportunities to play, explore, and share her playful spirit with the people around her. If you're looking for a companion who's ready to turn everyday moments into playtime, Penny would love to meet you. Some kittens wait for adventure to come to them. Penny has a way of reaching out to meet it. The first step in our adoption process is to fill out an application by going to our adoption application link for cats: https://crestwoodanimalshelter.com/adoptions After we have received your application, we will follow up with you and can arrange for you to meet the animal that you are interested in adopting.

Story
These are bonded sisters. They need to stay together. Both are very sweet and playful. One is more energetic and the other one a bit more mellow. They play and cuddle with each other and with owners. They use the litter box. Dani the smaller one will eat anything. Frida a bit more picky. They have been getting wet and dry. They have a water fountain they love and also love to sleep in the tub. I will supply a fancy scratch post with also place for them to lie on. Bed, toys and great expensive litter box. These girls were my Mom's. She died and now they need a forever home. I cannot keep them do to Landlord,

Story
I adopted Koda in 2024 as my older cat seemed to be lonely. He has since become the most loving animal I have ever known. He is extremely cuddly and wants nothing but to be closest to me and my roommate. We do not know anything about his life before the adoption center. He is very loving, playful, and a great pet. I am devastated that I can no longer keep him as some financial struggles have made me need to move and I cannot bring both cats. A house with 1 dog or cat would most likely be best for him as he loves to play. When he is not playing he is normally making biscuits or sleeping in adorably hilarious positions.

Story
We found her as a tiny kitten, about a month ago. She has been dewormed and is healthy and active. She’s eating dry food and has a good appetite. She has been outside and in the garage up until now, but it seems she would be happy inside too. Kitty stays close to home and is happy to play, good with kids.

Story
Kane has been in the care of my boyfriend and me for about 10 months since we adopted him from the humane society. He is about 3 years old and fully grown. We are needing to rehome him as we are moving to a new apartment that does not accept animals.Kane is a very sweet cat. He loves attention and cuddles. He currently lives with a roommate’s cat and they get along very well. He is very kind with strangers and warms up quickly. He settled in very well when we moved him into our apartment 10 months ago.

Story
Meet Woody, a charming senior feline with a heart as warm as his personality. This gentle tomcat, with his independent spirit, is learning the art of companionship. He carries a sweet disposition that shines through his reserved nature. Despite his senior status, Woody still possesses a youthful curiosity that sparks joy. He's not one to demand constant attention, but he'll surely appreciate your company. He's the kind of cat who'll make your house feel more like a home. He is a pretty quiet laid back guy who is very food motivated. Woody deserves a loving family who will cherish his sweet, independent nature and in return, he'll offer unconditional love and companionship. Adopt Woody and experience the joy of a lifelong friendship. He is positive for FIV. But guess what? FIV IS NO BIG DEAL! FIV positive cats can live as long as negative cats and may never have any health issues. All he needs is good quaility food, regular vet visits, a clean environment, and lots of love! FIV positive cats can also live with negative cats as long as the household is stable and everyone gets along, which is definitely the case with Woody- he lives with FIV negative friends and they get along great! FIV is spread to other cats through deep, vicious bite wounds that are uncommon outside of intact tomcats. We only adopt to people in the St. Louis METRO area. Story
DO NOT MISS OUT ON THIS SWEET BOY THIS IS ONE I WOULD KEEP FOR MY OWN IF I COULD. Meet Spooky, a cat who is a living embodiment of love and loyalty. Despite being an adult, his spirit is as playful as a kitten. Spooky's heart is filled with sweetness, making him a cuddly companion who loves to purr. He is friendly and enjoys the company of other cats, making him a sociable feline friend. Spooky is FIV positive, but this doesn't dampen his spirits or his ability to love. But don't let the FIV status scare you off - I'm a healthy and happy cat who can live a long life with lots of love and good care. I can even live with other cats (even those without FIV). He is gentle and patient, qualities that make him a great fit for families with children. His loyalty is unwavering, and he is always ready to give and receive affection. Spooky's ability to bring joy and companionship is a testament to his strength and resilience. Adopt Spooky, and let his sweet and loving nature fill your home with happiness and warmth.
