Story
Circe (pronounced SIR-see) is one of five beloved cats searching for a new, loving home after their human recently passed. She is a stunning Tabby who is shy but will seek out your attention. Circe gets along well with other cats and dogs, making her an easy companion in a multi pet home. She’s estimated to be 8 years old. She is spayed, litterbox trained and was kept up to date on her vaccines until her human became ill. Like her siblings, she is incredibly friendly and loves seeking out affection. Circe —and all five of these sweet cats—are hoping to find caring homes where they can feel safe, cherished, and adored. She is part of Mercy Hospice’s Pet Peace of Mind program, honoring the bond between patients and their beloved companions by helping pets find safe, loving homes. Circe is located in North St. Louis County, Missouri.

Story
I adopted Koda in 2024 as my older cat seemed to be lonely. He has since become the most loving animal I have ever known. He is extremely cuddly and wants nothing but to be closest to me and my roommate. We do not know anything about his life before the adoption center. He is very loving, playful, and a great pet. I am devastated that I can no longer keep him as some financial struggles have made me need to move and I cannot bring both cats. A house with 1 dog or cat would most likely be best for him as he loves to play. When he is not playing he is normally making biscuits or sleeping in adorably hilarious positions.

Story
Name: TillyAge: 4 Years OldWeight: 7.5 lbsWe rescued Tilly in late June. She is the sweetest, most cuddly cat with a lot of playful energy. Unfortunately, our resident cat is having difficulty accepting her and has become aggressive, and withdrawn despite them being separated most of the time. Tilly seems to like the idea of bonding to other cats as she has tried very hard to be submissive and friendly with our resident cat, but our resident cat can't let go of previous trauma. Tilly is a playful cat with a lot of energy and has a particular fondness for a feathered wand and watching the bird feeder. She is very gentle and likes to sleep on your chest at night. She's a little skittish at first, but even so will choose to trust you if you get on her level and hold out your hand. Tilly seems to be in good health, always uses the litter-box, and is up to date on her vaccines along with flea/tick medicine.

Story
Meet Chicory 🩷 Chicory is a sweet, sensitive cat looking for a quiet adult-only home where she can thrive. We’ve had her since she was a kitten, and this is an incredibly difficult decision, but we want what’s best for her. She is shy at first and may need a little time to warm up, but once she trusts you, she is affectionate, loyal, and loves being near her people. Chicory does best in a calm environment with a predictable routine. She has not adjusted well to living with a young child and becomes stressed by loud noises and a busy household. She would likely be happiest as the only pet, as she tends to step back and let other animals take the spotlight. Chicory has always been a naturally anxious and sensitive cat. We are hoping to find her a peaceful home where she can feel safe, comfortable, and loved. A small rehoming fee applies to help ensure she goes to a committed, loving home. Please reach out if you think you may be a good fit for Chicory.

Story
He is 3 years old. We got him from a friend 3 years ago. He’s very loving and enjoys affection on his own terms. He’s independent and likes spending time outdoors but comes home to eat and sleep. He’s neutered, microchipped, and up to date on his vaccinations. He would do best in a quieter home and may prefer not to live with very playful young cats

Story
We have no issues with Lacey! Our son unfortunately had an incident with a different animal that belonged to a family member (not Lacey). This has caused the relationship between our son and animals to be complicated. Managing this has become unfair to both Lacey and our son. And it’s best we move forward with helping Lacey find a new loving home!

Story
Hi, my name is Sylvia. When I first arrived at the shelter, I spent a lot of time tucked safely under my blanket. I wasn't quite ready to introduce myself yet—I needed some time to watch, listen and figure out this new place. And I took my time. With patience, encouragement and lots of love from the humans who care for me, I slowly started coming out from under that blanket. A couple of months later, look at me now: I've graduated to "free-roam status." This means my condo door stays open and I can roam the cat room as I please. I guess you could say I finally decided it was time to make my debut. Turns out, life outside the blanket is pretty good. I'm a super-chill girl who gets along well with my shelter siblings, and I've discovered that playing is actually a lot more fun than hiding. Don't worry, though—I still have a soft spot for my favorite blanket. Now I'm ready for my next big step: a home of my own. I'm looking for someone who will give me the same patience and kindness that helped me blossom here—and a cozy blanket wouldn't hurt either.
