Story
Princess is an affectionate cat who loves to be loved. Her favorite place is next to (or on top of) her human, purring away and kneading lovingly. Her mom was a stray that showed up in our porch a week before giving birth, and Princess has lived with me her whole life. She's 7 years old. She tolerates her brother (Pirate, same litter), but is just as happy when he's not around. She gets along with our Maltese, but not with our Maltipoo or miniature schnauzer who constantly bark at Princess. So if you have dogs that are chill around cats, it might be fine. But we're rehoming her because it's not fair for her to be hunted, chased, and barked at all the time. She hasn't been aggressive towards the dogs and she hasn't hurt the dogs even in self defense. Princess has been mostly an indoor cat, though she's enjoyed sitting on the front porch since we moved to Indy. She likes sunshine and ear skritches, bacon and salmon. Fancies herself the alpha of the family. She's a great cat.

Story
Pirate is a sweet love bug with a strong purr. His mom was a stray that came to us a week before having her kittens. Pirate has lived with me his whole life. He's 7 years old and has mostly been an indoor cat. Since moving to Indy, he has learned that he likes to sit in the backyard when the sun's out. Pirate was born with only one eye, and it's never caused him any trouble or health issues. He really wants to be best friends with his sister (Princess, same litter), but she's not interested. So if you have other cats that like cats, he'd be thrilled. He gets along fine with our Maltese - they're not friends but they can hang out on the sofa together just fine. We're rehoming him because of combining households, and we have a Maltipoo and a miniature schnauzer who are constantly chasing, hunting, and barking at the cats. It's not fair to Pirate to always be on high alert and hiding. He just wants to be loved. He's never been aggressive towards the dogs or hurt them in self defense.

Story
No adoption fee, we will supply all starting supplies and food! Sassparrilla is an AMAZING female orange tabby adopted from Indy IACS (they are aware we are rehoming her). She is bright, curious, and sometimes her last two brain cells are battling for first place. She is playful beyond belief and loves a good pat on the butt. Why rehome her, then? My husband and I are live-in caregivers for our aging, elderly parents and are relocating to a smaller, more accessible home that can accommodate their needs and need to find her a forever home. No adoption cost, we are happy to supply all starting supplies and her kibbl

Story
Cleo is a sweet stray cat caring for three young kittens. She is such a good mom that she took in an abandoned kitten that wasn't hers! Now, Cleo is the leader of their little troupe, which includes her own two kittens as well. Often overshadowed by the three babies she takes care of, Cleo is such a gem of a cat! She is long and lanky and absolutely gorgeous. She is often found sitting on our back steps, patiently waiting for her next meal. If we don't respond fast enough, she likes to jump up onto the banister so she can speak to us at our eye level! In fact, she's a natural climber: whenever we find muddy paw prints on our car's hood, we know Cleo has been around. Cleo has sacrificed a lot for her kittens, but she deserves a safe and loving home, too! If we didn't have too many cats as it is, we would adopt Cleo in an instant! She is a very easygoing girl who has endless patience for her kittens' antics, though I'm certain she would enjoy being a solo cat, too.

Story
Turq is the perfect emotional support cat if you want a dog but can’t have one. He looks like a tough guy, but is a big softie with a heart of gold. He’s a 4 year old chonk of a cat with the strut of a bulldog & growls like a dog when he hears anyone outside (growls then runs away). Once he warms up to you, he loves to be held, squeaks when he meows and is a purr machine. He could spend all day curled up on your lap, behind your knees, or crushing ribs when he lays on your chest. I’ve really come to love this big guy, but I have 3 other cats and he and the other male have become very aggressive with each other, but he gets along well with the females. He would make an amazing companion animal and might do best in a quiet home with no small children where he’s either the only cat or the alpha and can receive all the love and attention he craves. He’s available to a good home with a very small rehoming fee just to ensure he’s valued (as he should be).

Story
I was being given away on facebook. I had been a stray in a neighborhood. I went into the house but she didn't want to keep me. I was part of a group that when this rescue took two kittens, they got me too. I was really afraid at first, but now I realize how wonderful people are. I have a fantastic purr. I just needed some time to get to know people and feel comfortable. I do love catnip toys and things that rattle. I would also really enjoy a fishing pole toy. Story
I was born in an area of town where there are lots of stray cats. Thankfully I was cared for and was able to get into a rescue. I have had a pretty good life so far. I have learned to play well with my siblings. I have the best time with any kind of toy. If there is a cat scratcher around, I will sharpen my claws on it. I love cat trees and will be content to watch outside at wildlife. If you are looking for a new friend, come and see me.
