Tabby kittens & cats in Massachusetts

Duch is looking for a home where she can be the only pet. She is sweet, vocal, and deeply loved. She wants her people close and is very affectionate yet prefers not to be picked up. In our multi-pet family Duch has been the odd one out. Unfortunately, because of that stress, she has urinated outside of the litter box. We have worked on it — three behaviorists, vet testing, calming supplements. The answer comes back the same every time. She is stressed in a multi-pet home and needs an always clean box she does not have to compete for. In a quiet house with no other pets I think she would be a different cat. She comes with an automatic litter box, her supplies, and her vet records. She is a wonderful cat. She just needs to be the only one. We would very much like for her to stay local and close so we can keep tabs on how she is doing.

Hi! We’re Oreo and Reese, two 5½-year-old sisters who have been together our whole lives. We came all the way from the British Virgin Islands about five years ago and were adopted together. Now, through no fault of our own, our family is moving to an apartment that doesn’t allow cats, so we need a new home. And there’s one thing we know for sure: we want to stay together. We may be sisters, but you definitely won’t have trouble telling us apart — either by our looks or our personalities! 🐾 I’m Oreo, the black-and-white girl. I’m the more outgoing, affectionate sister and a serious snuggler once I know you. I love laps, have a wonderfully loud purr, and enjoy being wherever my people are. I’m playful and curious, too — toy mice are my favorite, and sometimes I’ll even ask my people to follow me around while I investigate things! I love affection, especially chin rubs, and I’m very good at letting you know when I’m ready for some love. I can be shy with strangers at first, but once I decide you’re one of my people, you’ll get to see my sweet, social, snuggly side. 🐾 And I’m Reese, the pretty striped girl. I’m the quieter, more independent sister. I’m sweet, curious, observant, and I like to take a little more time before deciding someone has earned my trust. But once I’m comfortable, my personality starts to shine. I especially love kneading on my favorite blanket — preferably when it’s draped over my person’s legs on the couch. It’s one of my favorite cozy routines! I also enjoy playing with corks and ping-pong balls and keeping a close eye on everything happening around me. Together, we enjoy the finer things in life: cat trees, scratching posts, windowsills, sunny spots, toys, cozy blankets, good food, naps, and being near our people. We can both be shy and skittish when we first meet someone, so we’re looking for people who understand that the best relationships sometimes take a little time. Give us patience and the chance to feel safe, and we’ll show you just how special we are. We’ve never lived with other pets, and with such a big transition ahead of us, we’d be happiest in a home without other animals. We’re good with adults; Oreo is comfortable with adults, while Reese hasn’t lived with children, so a calm household would be a great fit for us. We’re both spayed, microchipped, litter-box trained, and in good health. Most importantly, we’re a bonded pair and need to be adopted together. We’ve had each other through every chapter of our lives — from the British Virgin Islands to our first home and now through this unexpected change. We’d really like the next chapter to be the one where we find our forever family. I’m Oreo — the black-and-white, snuggly, social explorer. Smokey came to us from the MSPCA in Centerville, MA. He hadn't received much interest there so we wanted to give him a chance here on Nantucket. He is a 3.5 year old, neutered male tabby who is a little shy right now. Shelter life can be scary for many animals and this sweet handsome guy is a little unsure of everything happening around him. We are here to give him all the time and support he needs though so we will be there for those special moments when he feels confident for small victories. Right now, we know he enjoys churu treats and is a social eater so he loves a bit of attention when he comes out to eat. He enjoys food and it would do him well to lose a few pounds and we will help him with that too! We think he will do great in a home, maybe as an only kitty, with someone who is patient and compassionate to his slower schedule to get comfortable. He will most definitely be a loyal kitty companion for the right cat person!

Archie and Ash need to go together - they are brothers who have been together their whole life, I have a separate profile for Ash on here as well. I have had these boys for 12 years - they were about 1-1.5yrs old when I was given them and I love them dearly. They are easy going guys - very low key and low maintenance. Their favorite idea of affection is just sitting next to you in the couch. They don’t like being picked up/handled, but they love petting and head/neck scratching and occasionally still enjoy playing with toys. Both are great with dogs, okay with other cats if introduced well. Archie is a very easy going guy, he loves head scratches and back scratches. He has had no health issues ever since I’ve had him and is just a super easy guy to hang out with Due to unfortunate family issues, I can’t keep him or his brother, but they are older and I don’t want them to go to a shelter. Ideally, they would go to a nice quiet home where they can hang out and keep good company

I have had him on Nulo duck and cod dry food for 12 years and he does great. Due to unfortunate family issues, I can’t keep him or his brother, but they are older and I don’t want them to go to a shelter. Ideally, they would go to a nice quiet home where they can hang out and keep good company

We got Nemo to have another cat. However that didn’t really work out for us as we believe Nemo will strive best as the only pet/cat in the household! He loves to play and is super confident however he does need to learn boundaries as he is also a very curious cat!
