Story
PLEASE HELP TINKERBELL FIND THE PURRFECT HOME! Tinkerbell was surrendered by her elderly owner due to moving into a complex that does not accept pets. She is a very sweet, affectionate kitty who loves to sit in any available lap for attention, and purrs loudly! She is chatty, and will follow her favorite people around to talk and get attention. Tinkerbell is 18 years old, and has been spayed, microchipped, vaccinated for rabies/FVRCP, tested negative for FIV/FeLV, and has had a senior blood panel and dental cleaning. The blood panel indicated that she is in the early stages of renal failure, so she is eating canned food. Her adoption fee is $150.

Story
Our barn cat program is for our cats that take part in the TNR (Trap-Neuter-Return) program but can't be returned to their communities because of danger or lack of care. These are our less social cats that don't crave the company of people, at least at this point in their lives. These cats are peaceful, easy to care for, and make friends easily with other farm animals. Pictured is our lovely Chula who was adopted as a mouser for the family chicken coop. The family followed the relocation instructions and Chula became queen of the land! Like Chula, many families that have adopted a barn cat report that the cats have become friendly over time and bonded with the other animals as well has the people. Most often, the cats are delivered in pairs by our volunteer that settle the cats in and provide instructions for you to follow. All agree that it is very rewarding to give a home and freedom to a less fortunate cat who just by chance was born without a human hand. Please fill out our application from our website and call 860-479-5173. Thank you!

Story
Mona Lisa is our gorgeous, young mama cat. She came to us with six kittens. She also nurtured some kittens that were not hers. Mona is a love! She is affectionate, happy, grateful and she loves attention. Mona is always right there with her foster mom and dad. She also made friends easily their two cats , Bear and Fiona. She even charmed Fiona who is not nice to any cats. Mona occasionally does the 'test swatting' where she will slap you to see if she can trust you. Those are becoming more rare though as her survival guard is down and she is enjoying life without a care. She's really a wonderful girl and a little gem. Please fill out an application for our beautify on our website at www.hucatrescue.org. Thank you!
