Story
Pippin's Story Pippin is a 6-month-old buff and white baby girl who has truly blossomed in her foster home. Once a bit unsure, she’s now showing her sweet, playful, and affectionate side in a calm and comfortable environment. This little lady loves pets—especially around her neck and tail base—and she’ll proudly strut around with her tail held high, full of purrs. When she’s feeling extra happy, she’ll even roll over for some gentle belly rubs! Pippin would thrive in a quieter home or a calm space where she can settle in at her own pace. With a little patience, her loving personality shines bright. She gets along well with other cats and would likely do fine with laid-back dogs after a proper introduction. Interested in adopting Pippin? ?Apply here: https://form.jotform.com/223088351047151 Pippin is up to date on age-appropriate vaccines, has received parasite prevention, and will be spayed before adoption. All of this is included in the adoption fee. If your application looks like a good match, a team member will reach out to schedule a video meet-and-greet so you can see Pippin’s sweet and playful personality in action!

Story
Rusty. (Bobtail)'s Story ?? Rusty the Bobtail Elf-in-Training ?? Introducing Rusty, a nine-week-old orange tabby bobtail kitten who looks like he came straight off Santa’s “experimental elf prototypes” assembly line. With a tiny nub of a tail that wiggles like a festive cinnamon roll, Rusty zooms through the house like he’s late for toy-making duty at the North Pole. He’s convinced he is an elf, actually—just… fun-sized. Here’s what this holiday hooligan brings to the table: ? Santa-level energy (he’s already run three imaginary workshops today) ? Gift unwrapping skills that are both impressive and mildly concerning ? Tree climbing expertise—he says he’s just “checking for squirrels” ? Stocking inspector—he checks every sock. Every. Single. One. ? Believes Christmas dinner is “community property” Rusty may be tiny, but his personality is bigger than Santa’s cookie stash. He is charming, hilarious, wiggly, snuggly, and 100% certain he can pull Santa’s sleigh by himself if the reindeer ever call in sick. If you want a Christmas companion who brings the chaos and the cuddles, look no further—Rusty is ready to jingle all the way home with you. ??? This pet is up to date on age-appropriate vaccines, has received parasite prevention, and will be neutered before adoption. All of this is included in the adoption fee. Ready to give this sweet angel the forever home they deserves? Apply here: https://form.jotform.com/223088351047151 If your application is a good fit, a team member will reach out to schedule a Facetime or What’s App meet and greet so you can see this baby’s loving personality in action.

Story
Jacks real friendly and playful. Hes good with multiple other cats, dogs and even a rough toddler/kid. He’s a smart cat who’s figured out how to even open doors. We can’t keep him anymore because he tries to mark my clothes, and only my clothes. He doesn’t bother with the kids or wife’s belongings. Because of this we can’t keep him anymore.

Story
Our barn cat program is for our cats that take part in the TNR (Trap-Neuter-Return) program but can't be returned to their communities because of danger or lack of care. These are our less social cats that don't crave the company of people, at least at this point in their lives. These cats are peaceful, easy to care for, and make friends easily with other farm animals. Pictured is our lovely Chula who was adopted as a mouser for the family chicken coop. The family followed the relocation instructions and Chula became queen of the land! Like Chula, many families that have adopted a barn cat report that the cats have become friendly over time and bonded with the other animals as well has the people. Most often, the cats are delivered in pairs by our volunteer that settle the cats in and provide instructions for you to follow. All agree that it is very rewarding to give a home and freedom to a less fortunate cat who just by chance was born without a human hand. Please fill out our application from our website and call 860-479-5173. Thank you!

Story
Calvin and Hobbs are Olives sweet little boys. They are energetic and fun loving. Hobbs has some scarring in his eye from the common virus that most cats get. Some cats react to it more than others, thus the case with Hobbs. The ophthalmologist feels that the eye will heal but leave a little scarring. If he should need surgery when he is older, we would set that up through our vet for you. Right now, he is having a blast. The boys do not have to go together because they are so much alike. Please fill out an application on our website at www.hucatrescue.org. Thank you! PLEASE JOIN US THIS SUNDAY, DEC. 7TH AT PETCO, 188 KITTS LANE IN NEWINGTON. WE WILL BE ON THE NORTH SHORE ANIMAL LEAGUE VAN SO YOU CAN MEET OUR BEAUTIFUL RESCUES. THE HOURS ARE FROM 1:00-3:00 P.M. PLEASE FILL OUT AN APPLICATION ON OUR WEBSITE IN PREPARATION FOR THE EVENT. Story
Biggie is a dig, dumpling. He is round and so cute! He is chill for a kitten and very sweet. Biggie was adopted but had to come back to us because the child had a bad allergic reaction. It was so sad for everyone and we feel for the child who had so much love to give and really bonded with Biggie in the short time they had him. Please make sure that your child is not allergic. Have them sleep over at a friend's for a relative's house that has a cat. Please don't think that any breed is hypoallergenic. Breeders will say things online to push their breeds. Please let us know if there is a slight allergy in the house and we can work with you because there are volunteers in our group with cat allergies also. Please fill out an application on our website at www.hucatrescue.org. Thank you! PLEASE JOIN US THIS SUNDAY, DEC. 7TH AT PETCO, 188 KITTS LANE IN NEWINGTON.
