Story
Rusty. (Bobtail)'s Story ?? Rusty the Bobtail Elf-in-Training ?? Introducing Rusty, a nine-week-old orange tabby bobtail kitten who looks like he came straight off Santa’s “experimental elf prototypes” assembly line. With a tiny nub of a tail that wiggles like a festive cinnamon roll, Rusty zooms through the house like he’s late for toy-making duty at the North Pole. He’s convinced he is an elf, actually—just… fun-sized. Here’s what this holiday hooligan brings to the table: ? Santa-level energy (he’s already run three imaginary workshops today) ? Gift unwrapping skills that are both impressive and mildly concerning ? Tree climbing expertise—he says he’s just “checking for squirrels” ? Stocking inspector—he checks every sock. Every. Single. One. ? Believes Christmas dinner is “community property” Rusty may be tiny, but his personality is bigger than Santa’s cookie stash. He is charming, hilarious, wiggly, snuggly, and 100% certain he can pull Santa’s sleigh by himself if the reindeer ever call in sick. If you want a Christmas companion who brings the chaos and the cuddles, look no further—Rusty is ready to jingle all the way home with you. ??? This pet is up to date on age-appropriate vaccines, has received parasite prevention, and will be neutered before adoption. All of this is included in the adoption fee. Ready to give this sweet angel the forever home they deserves? Apply here: https://form.jotform.com/223088351047151 If your application is a good fit, a team member will reach out to schedule a Facetime or What’s App meet and greet so you can see this baby’s loving personality in action.

Story
What's that rumble? Oh, it's Bumble! This playful boy loves to chase his ball around and be a wild cat. A rough and rowdy player, Bumble would do well with the company of another young and playful cat (for him to stalk and surprise!) or oppositely, an old, relaxed cat who won't mind his antics. Two years old and full of beans, he can't be picked up, needs his own space and will tell you, "No thank you" but far less politely. However, if you want to drag a string or feather around or throw his ball than he'll happily spend all day with you. Bumble is neutered and current on all shots, ready for his new home. If you've got room in your heart for an energetic wild-man who plays by his own rules and requires you follow them too, then take a chance on Bumble and make your appointment to meet him today. He is not the biggest fan of other cats, and does not like dogs, but he loves the attention he gets from people. Bumble is a 2-year-old neutered male For more information on Bumble, call AWS at 860-354-1350 email animalwelfare.socty@snet.net or visit our website aws-shelter.org for an application Adoption Fees for Senior cats (8yrs and up) is $50 Adult Cats $200 and Kittens under a year $250.

Story
We welcomed our cat into our home when he was just two weeks old, a sweet gift from a family friend in December 2017. Now, we're are looking for a loving home where he can continue to be cared for and cherished. If you're someone who can offer him a calm, caring environment and the love he deserves, he'll make a wonderful and loyal companion. (P.S I do have some stuff to give that can last him a few weeks + month before you have to buy anything like food, a bed, litter.)

Story
Meet Fir, a three-month-old tabby from the Christmas Tree litter. She came to us from a home in Bridgeport along with her siblings, Fraser, Spruce, and Evergreen. Due to an unspayed female and unneutered male cat in the home, multiple litters were born. Thankfully, the kittens were rescued and given the chance for brighter futures. While the boys have already been adopted, Fir and her sister Evergreen are still waiting for their furever homes. Fir is playful and loves to chase her toys and zoom around during playtime. She may be a little shy at first, but she warms up quickly once she feels comfortable. While she isn’t overly affectionate right away, she truly enjoys being pet and will happily sweet-talk you when treats are involved. Fir is a very sweet girl who will blossom with lots of love. Fir does well with other cats and is great with children of all ages. Because she thrives with companionship, she must be adopted either with her sister Evergreen or into a home that already has another playful kitty. Her adoption fee is $275 and Fir is vaccinated, FIV/FELV negative, microchipped, and will be spayed next month. If you're interested in this little cutie, please fill out an application at https://form.jotform.com/201805462692153. For questions, email info@happilyfureverafter.org.

Meet Evergreen, a six-month-old tabby sweetheart who truly lives up to her name—steady, loving, and always happy to be by your side. She came to us from a home in Bridgeport along with her siblings, Fraser, Spruce, and Fir. Due to an unspayed female and unneutered male cat in the home, multiple litters were born. Thankfully, the kittens were rescued and given the chance for brighter futures. While the boys have already been adopted, Evergreen and her sister Fir are still waiting for their furever homes. Evergreen has the most gentle and affectionate nature and enjoys being involved in whatever her people are doing, whether that’s playtime, lounging around the house, snuggling, or simply watching the world go by from her tower or the window. She loves attention and will happily settle in for snuggles any time of the day. Evergreen is social, curious, and thrives on companionship, making her a wonderful addition to a home looking for a loving, loyal kitty. She does well with other cats and is great with children of all ages. Because she thrives with companionship, she must be adopted either with her sister Fir or into a home that already has another playful kitty. Story
Our barn cat program is for our cats that take part in the TNR (Trap-Neuter-Return) program but can't be returned to their communities because of danger or lack of care. These are our less social cats that don't crave the company of people, at least at this point in their lives. These cats are peaceful, easy to care for, and make friends easily with other farm animals. Pictured is our lovely Chula who was adopted as a mouser for the family chicken coop. The family followed the relocation instructions and Chula became queen of the land! Like Chula, many families that have adopted a barn cat report that the cats have become friendly over time and bonded with the other animals as well has the people. Most often, the cats are delivered in pairs by our volunteer that settle the cats in and provide instructions for you to follow. All agree that it is very rewarding to give a home and freedom to a less fortunate cat who just by chance was born without a human hand. Please fill out our application from our website and call 860-479-5173. Thank you!

Story
Our dog-cat, Tigger, is ready for his forever home! Tigger was born with his umbilical cords wrapped around his legs. This is a rare occurrence that happens in utero and sometimes the lack of circulation cuts off the leg. Thus was the case with Tigger. Tigger was adopted at 14 weeks old but recently came back to us because of pain associated with his leg and because the other cat in the home never really accepted him. The dogs were his buddies and playmates. He even wags his tail like a dog. Now that he is two years old, we could see the discomfort before the surgery so our wonderful vet recommended leg amputation surgery. Tigger is so much more comfortable and can even move easier. This guy is unstoppable! Tigger has an big personality. He is confident, intelligent and very self-aware. He is friendly, social, outgoing...He's always right there with you and wants to be involved in everything. He loves to cuddle and will give love bites. He's just very expressive. We are hoping for a cat-dad for him but he loves all people. He must be the only cat. He needs no special treatment and he won't have it. He can climb and do stairs. He's has been using three legs his whole life we just had to free him from the fourth. We now need to work on getting his weight down just a bit. Please fill out an application for our amazing boy on our website at www.hucatrescue.org. You can find more videos of Tigger on our YouTube channel and Facebook. Please consider sending in a donation for Tigger to help with his vet bill. Thank you!
