Story
Checkers was rescued from a colony. He is affectionate but still sensitive in new situations and with new people so he will need some time to adjust to a new home. He is a big mush of a cat who loves being petted and loves belly rubs. He is very food motivated so gaining his trust should be easy. He is attached to his friend Toby so we'd like them adopted together.

Story
Bobby is truly a wonderful cat. He will greet you when you come home and is very curious about the things you do. He loves naps next to you and in the sunshine. He is affectionate, likes to cuddle at night, and enjoys listening to you sing or calming music. He is very vocal and playful, dashing for treats and batting his toys around. He is a true lap-cat in every sense. He is tidy, uses the litter box, and scratch pad, and does not spray. His grooming habits are healthy. Does not shed but we still brush him. He is fixed, chipped, vaccinated and dewormed. We do not know much of his past history; we found him abandoned and left to fend for himself. He has been in our foster care for 12 months and in need of his forever home. Bobby would be an excellent companion for a single person, or family household with children that will respect him, and can provide him a strict indoor living place without other cats. He has a big personality that will fill your home with joy, laughter, and warmth.

Story
Tweety is terrific teeny and tiny! Loves her sis Bertha Our fosters are have so many kittens are now big enough to be adopted. They are anywhere from 8 to 10 wks old so ALL are TOO SMALL TO GO as SOLO pets to a home UNLESS u already have a young cat in your home - so have to be paired up. They are absolutely the sweetest and simply some of the cutest and prettiest kitties ever! Octavia - this 8-10 wk old angel is one of our rescues favs for SOOO many reasons. First, she was seen being thrown out of a moving car on a highway and thankfully someone stopped - her leg was injured but luckily nothing life altering. Despite the fact someone did that she LOVES ALL PEOPLE UNCONDITIONALLY - sweetest of the sweet. Loves kids dogs cats EVERYONE. Doesn't get any better than this cutie! Tweety and Bertha - these twin 8-9 yr old sisters are cute as can be! Spayed happy healthy and just what the doctor ordered when it comes for love n' snuggles. They are way tinier than photos appear but their personalities are WAY bigger - friendly happy and just adorable! Too small to be solo cat in the home btw These babies were all fostered in a wonderful home after they were abandoned in KY at a high kill shelter and then cared for by our incredible NY and KY foster teams! They are all friendly and fun and great for any family - they seem fine with kids and should be fine with other gentle cats and with a gentle dog. They are incredibly affectionate, super snuggly, and simply the most purrfect kitties! Again ALL of these babies are TOO SMALL to go solo so u must have another young cat in the home or adopt in pairs. All kittens no matter what age, do not grow up with the best behaviors without another cat to help them esp during their tween months. ADOPTERS UNDER THE AGE OF 23 MUST HAVE A PARENT OR GUARDIAN APPLY We do NOT test for hypoallergenic qualities or exact breeds as we are a rescue so also please do not ask! If you are allergic, then prepare for 20 yrs of an allergy if the cat you adopt causes issues... If you want to apply - please go to https://rnrpets.org/cat-application/ to be approved. If you have additional questions please contact us via email at rocknrescue1@gmail.com. They are all fully vetted spayed neutered per age and vaccinated tested FIV FELV neg had preventatives and microchipped. And ready for love! They are also available to adopters from out of state in the Northeast and is located here in Bedford Hills NY! Long distance adopters must pick up here sorry no shipping or delivering!

Story
Totally gorgeous TABBY! With her piercing green eyes and beautiful stripes, she’s definitely a pretty cat. And her whiskers are impressive! TABBY is a gentle girl and curious girl. She wants to see what you’re up to, but prefers to get to know you from afar. After an hour or so she often decides you’ve passed her test and will let you meet her properly. Once you’re friends, she’ll arch her back and ask for pets. TABBY has some good kitty friends that she likes to snuggle with, so she could be a good option for a household that already has cats. She was born in 2016. TABBY is a shier cat, so she will need a patient and thoughtful introduction to your home, but it will be so worth it! Since TABBY takes some time to build trust with new people, we know she might not show as well to potential adopters. ARF volunteers are happy to talk to you about her and can even share videos of affectionate behavior you may not see when you visit.

Story
NIKO is a bigggg 8-year-old boy who loves attention and will roll around on his back for ear scritches. We think he likes to keep his eyes as wide open as possible so you can gaze upon his striking green eyes at ALL times. The volunteers LOVE this charming chunk and he always makes us lots of biscuits. He’s a goofball who likes to play and will stand up on his back legs like a human to bop a toy. NIKO also insists on sprawling on the floor in the funniest positions, with curled paws or legs stuck up in the air. He would like to be your only cat in a home with no small children. Come and meet this big smush! We know he will make someone so happy!

Story
This curious girl is cute as a button and has a lovely, little white locket on her chest. We can often find MAGGIE snoozing on the window seat looking extra pretty. We think she has the softest fur of any kitty we’ve ever known. It’s silky smooth and she likes pets once she’s gotten to know you. MAGGIE likes to hang out with other kitties and though she’ll run up with the kitty welcome committee to say hello to her favorite people, she tends to be skittish with new people, but warms up after a few visits. She would be a great addition to a home that already has kitties and for someone who is looking for a quiet, sweet girl. She was born in 2015. Since Maggie hides when potential adopters visit, even though she's had many visitors, she's never found her forever home. Maggie was adopted once and returned because they felt she wasn’t adjusting quickly enough, despite not following our advice to ease her transition to a new place. She will need a thoughtful and patient transition to your home to flourish. We know if you give her a chance, she'll be a wonderful addition to your family!
